Ambience is the greatest for a nice bar by the beach . It is unexpectedly a nice vibe . I ordered old fashioned it was greatly well done service is great. Must stop place it is just like a hidden gem

The place was super lax and you can choose where you want to sit. The menu was pretty limited and the online photos and reviews are out of date. I was hoping to get fried shrimp but it no longer exists. I wanted to order a drink too but they told me their drink menu was outdated. The fried pickles were pretty spicy and when we got our entrees, they didn't bring us utensils until we requested it. They ran out of metal ones and came over with plastic utensils for the rest of the group. The bang bang shrimp bowl was pretty good but the tuna taco lacked flavor. Overall, the place was a let down.

The food is excellent as always. Normally I order sandwiches, this time I ordered their BBQ Sandwich. Being originally from NC. We take pride in BBQ sauce. The western part of NC serves tomato based while the eastern shore part has vinegar based. Not to mention a friend of mine always invited me to a pig pickin'. He always told me the best part of a pig was from its rooter to its pooter! Yes, I laughed, but personally I wasn't very much into eating pig at that time in my life. But these days I adore the eastern vinegar based pulled bbq pig! This time I ordered their NC pulled bbq, I asked if it was vinegar based, but surprisingly they served it with a Virginia Beach bbq sauce called Virginia Gentlemen's. Very nicely done!

Hubs has been here a few times but I joined last night. They had live music playing featuring 90s tunes and have several nights a week with live music. It's small and cozy inside but they have a large bar and open kitchen, clean restrooms, and a few high top and seated tables. A much larger menu than expected with some great items. Our friend ordered a hot honey chicken sandwich with fries, I chose a chicken ceasar wrap with potato salad and my husband had a cubano sandwich with fries. All were good and the potato salad was really delicious and house-made. They were pretty busy and nearly all tables and the spaces at the bar were filled up. Not bad for a Wednesday night. Service was friendly and we had a great time at this small locals gem. Would def come back.

Fancy Bloody Mary. Yum! Thanks Bret!

Great place to grab a drink. Cool vibe and friendly service. The new owner has done a great job with remodeling.

Absolute gem! Menu in the photos! Found this place while on vacation and absolutely loved everything about it from the atmosphere, to being able to watch our food be prepared, to the AMAZING food!! The staff was fantastic and they were so kind to my 4 year old and 10 year old too! I couldn't have asked for a better start to our vacation!

I was very surprised by this place as it was just a convenient spot from the hotel we booked. While the food here may seem very basic, it was seasoned really well and everything was delicious. The service was pretty quick and the staff was very friendly and patient as my parents asked for certain changes. The decorations were more rustic but it fit with the food that they served. Overall a very good experience.

Brett, the server and bartender, and Chad, the chef, are awesome. They made our experience WONDERFUL. They both have massive knowledge of food and drink. We tried beers that we have never tried before and they were perfect. If your not quite sure what you will like just get a sample. But both Brett and Chad explain flavors very well and I picked my Porter just from the description alone. I am always trying Lumpia where ever they make it. Shadowlawn is spectacular for the Lumpia and it comes with 2 different sauces. Chad said they make ALL of their own sauces and you can really tell the difference. It is perfection. One sauce is sweet and the other has a bit more of a vinegar bite. I loved them both and honestly can not decide what my favorite is. Got the Cuban and fries. The Cuban meat is so flavorful. NOT too salty. I have had them other places where they smother it is salt. This was delicate and the salt was in the pickle. Great fresh bread and just the right amount of crunch. The menu looks wonderful with a nice variety. My husband calls this place an upscale bar. We love the atmosphere and the music. Probably a bit loud for some people but we felt right at home. They have some really neat outside seating, Front and Back seating. I personally love the inside tables . The decor is a beach vibe. Really a nice clean restaurant and easy parking. We are looking forward to our next visit. Just saying that Brett and Chad are crushing it. I feel like we have been friends forever and they are both such foodiThey are my kind of people and I thank them for such a great visit . This is a must try place

I ordered the Sunrise Burger, subbing hot honey for the mayo and oh-mah-gawsh that was an excellent decision. (The burgers are a little on the smaller side, but I found it to be the perfect size.) I told my husband that the onion rings were some of the best I've ever had. Kyle was our server, and he was incredible--attentive despite being a little overwhelmed. So when one of the Homies told me about this place I was all in because - burgers - what's not to love. Barrel 17 did not disappoint; when i got there i realized quickly i was the last to know because it was busy. We had about a 10 minute wait to be seated but that was cut short by option to sit at the bar. The bartender was working like she had six arms. It was non stop; attentive, taking orders, making drinks, checking back with others, she was truly impressive. The places was jumping; it was busy, casual and didn't slow down from the time we arrived until we left. Parking is challenging, there's a small lot beside the restaurant and a small lot behind it so if you can car pool you'll benefit yourselves. Now on to the star of the show - the food! The only knock I had was portion size. In a big guy with an even bigger appetite and when i left there i could've eaten my whole meal over again lol. But that's also because it was delicious. I got the mac n cheese starter, the Beast Burger, tater tots , and the biggest slice of chocolate cake I've ever had. Literally the biggest slice of cake ever- twice the size of my burger. Everything was delicious, from start to finish and if i were a person that had a normal appetite i would've left full like my friends did. Will definitely be back!

The potstickers tasted like the frozen ones you get from the grocery store. The shrimp ceviche was essentially tasteless. Once the jalapeño ice cream melted, it tasted a little better but I wish they had served it with more onions and lime to give it more flavor. The goat cheese and olive was good but nothing special. I brought a party of 5 to finally partake in the culinary excellence that Eurasia has to offer. As a collective we ordered- STEAK N EGGS w/ no egg : such depth in all aspects of every bite. The polenta and steak were cooked with absolute precision. PEANUT CHICKEN WINGS : probably my absolute favorite of the entire spread. The tartness of the peanut butter was a very pleasant surprise. I would absolutely purchase a jar of the sauce alone. CRAB RANGOON FLATBREAD : an elevated version of a favorite take out additive. Sauce to ingredient ratio was to die for! GREEN GODDESS & MANGO SALAD : this salad was dressed to perfection, allowing all items to shine in its each individual way. CHILI CRUNCH TUNA POKE : I mean you quite literally will explode with satisfaction with every bite. The freshness and variety of flavor / texture is impeccable. FRIED RICE W/EGG ON SIDE : you can absolutely distinguish that whoever is on the line preparing your fried rice is doing so with the experience in mind. The preparation of the shrimp, the array of colored FRESH vegetables, and the rice itself. DIRTY MARTINI FETTUCINE PASTA : a blue cheese olive dirty martini is my all time favorite drink so lo and behold, there was a pasta created by its existence. The block of blue cheese down to the plethora of capers, absolute chefs kiss. BBQ DUCK : honestly if this was all I ordered , I would be more than satisfied. This item was accompanied by the most decadent Mac & Cheese , a perfected bowl of collard greens, and the pickled mountain of cabbage. STRAWBERRY CRUMB CRÈME BRÛLÉE : for the most part , I tend to stray away from a crème brûlée due to the lack of creativity. HOWEVER, the strawberry crunch crumbs and that dream of a sugar crust. I could clear a couple plates of this. PASSIONFRUIT & PANDAN TART : this hit every note of a well rounded dessert. The passionfruit was so tart with a subtle sourness that aided the coconut shortbread cookie. I would like to shout out our waitress Fantasia for an amazing service that evening by ensuring the plates never stopped coming, drinks stayed full, and any requests satisfied. As well as Chef Braedon for coming out to introduce himself and explain the magic he placed on our table. My friends and I will most definitely be back.
