Initially when I made contact the salesman was out promptly and produced a very detailed quote, pricing was good and quoted lead time 6-8 weeks.The finished product came out great. Read the back of the contract, they assume no liability on lead time quotes and do not give refunds on deposits. If I had to do it over again I would do better research. I honestly have never left a review prior to geting service but this is crazy. I got a quote back in March for our patio cover with the estimated install time of 12 weeks out which put us in June. Then it slowly changed every week getting further and further and pushed out with no explanation, just their generic Wednesday emails. Now our most recent time frame for installation to begin was August 7-21, well today will come and go and still haven't heard from the company about an install day and don't know when we will. We have received no updates short of me contacting them after their weekly Wednesday updates. They happily take the $3k plus, deposit and then the rest is history. They can leave customers on pause for however long without explanation and use the generic emais to cover themselves across the board. I guess if I ever get the patio cover installed, I can leave a review on that, but in the future I won't recommend them to anyone seeking a cover. *UPDATE* After ny project was not started within the last time frame they gave me, I received a call saying it was still delayed and they didn't have a date for my install. I requested my money back and was told since I signed the contract they couldn't refund it even though they didn't uphold their end of the contract or communicate the delays beforehand. When I asked why I wasn't updated the man I spoke with said, "we have over 1k customers and can't give everyone a reason why their project is delayed." Very professional. I stated I would contact my credit card company and request they refund it that way and he told me to go ahead but I wouldn't get my money back. He called me back and told me it was in "everyone's best interest to go through with the project because if I do get my money back from my CC company, they'd have to take me to small claims court. And who wants to go to court over a patio cover?" Again, very professional. Bottom line, all they cared about was getting their money and ensuring they continue getting more good reviews. They also couldn't update me on my project but had time to state, "oh, I saw your 1 star review on Google yesterday and that really hurts our business." Never did they genuinely care about the abhorrent customer service I received. The only positive credit I can give is to Devin and the other gentleman who installed the cover. They were respectful of my property and even asked permission to go back into the yard when they came back to complete the project, which by the way took 2 days, separated by a holiday weekend when we were told project duration was for 1 day. Our last project install date was August 21st and the project was started on august 30th, and finished on September 6th. Overall, I do not recommend this company unless you are flexible with the company having no accountability to their own contract and being treated so poorly after paying thousands of dollars, $6,347, to be exact. read more

Do i love the new patio cover? Yes. Was i beyond happy with the process? No... We had a quote done in March and decided to go ahead with ShadeWorks for our new patio. In March he estimated our install to be sometime in June. So we paid the deposit and waited for what felt like forever... as the days went by the install date estimate kept getting pushed back faster than we were moving forward... by June we were further from install than when we ordered it back in March... I understand things happen but i feel they could have been more honest about the waiting period. Also i called a few times for different reasons and left messages asking to be called back with my number. Every single time i never got a call. The guy would only call my husband for some reason which does not have access to his phone at work. So that was frustrating and odd... when they were finally ready in august for install they came out to drill deep holes in the concrete and then called the next day saying that they actually don't have all of our parts yet and that install would be rescheduled... so basically it's summer time with a 5 year old and 1 year old learning to walk and now i can't use my backyard because there is huge deep unsafe holes in my concrete that my kids could get seriously hurt in... when i called and explained that they rescheduled for the next week.... So yes I'm happy with the patio but i feel like there is some things that could have gone better. read more

My job was finished today and it looks fantastic! Shadeworks is a great company to work with. Steve lovino came out and explained everything about the project. He provided a detailed drawing and estimate. He honestly told me that they are in very high demand and that my project would not start for a while. It was worth the wait! Trevor and Anthony were so nice and did a great job with the installation. The communication was excellent. The office would call and confirm all dates, Trevor would call when they were on their way, they were always there exactly when they said they would be. The job site was always clean and organized. There was a small material hiccup that caused a delay, but I knew when they would fix it and they did. The whole process was wonderful. It has such a high quality look to it - I'm thrilled. Shadeworks did a horrible job installing. Sent the following email to the company after they had missed several deadlines, not showed up when expected, not returned calls, etc: "Good afternoon guys: I'm writing because we have some issues to address with our job. We came home to metal shaving left all over our property. On our lawn chairs, in our grass, all around the pool. We have already had some injuries as a result. The chalk marks were left on the patio. The pavers were not replaced. We have been trying to get someone out but thus far have been unsuccessful. Please let me know when these items will be addressed." Then, to make matters worse, they tried to bill us for a job they did not complete. We paid our bill in full (over $14,000), except for $465, which we felt was a fair amount to deduct to cover the professional pressure washing and cleaning we paid to have done on our patio after they left metal shavings and chalk lines everywhere (and our kids cut their feet on the metal shavings). They then reported the account to a collection agency, even though they were paid over 14k and did an absolute HORRIBLE job of cleaning up and finishing the install. Absolute joke of a company when it comes to customer service. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you DO NOT do business with shadeworks. As their name suggests, they are an extremely shady company who is happy with subpar work and terrible customer service. read more

Got our quote and paid half the cost of our project on 8/19/2021. Were told it may be installed by last October. Have been getting "no reply" computer updates saying our project won't begin before the end of January. Contacted Shadeworks and was given the same excuse someone else posted about the "covid' delay, and trucking issues, etc. Covid didn't seem a concern when they rushed out to give us a quote and take our deposit. The last excuse was a shortage of workers. I suppose the next excuse will be the weather is to cold in January. Probably should have gone with another company. read more
