Showed us to the bar and got our seats wiped down. The kitchen wasn't serving hot food since we came after 10pm, so we opted for hummus which was soo good! Our drinks were great, and my bf got a cigar which was a great experience. The man who was in that area, was knowledgeable and helped him choose the right one. This is a great place for a group night out and I can't wait to come back with my friends! The ambiance is like you're in a different time, very different and I loved every minute of it!

We reserved the second floor lounge area, which was amazing. The drinks were great and the food was good. Obviously this is not a sitdown restaurant so don't come expecting a full-blown steak. But the pizza and the food options were definitely elevated bar foods. The service was amazing. Our bartender and weight staff were very helpful and kind. The best part is that you come in through a red phone booth. Once you make a reservation, they give you a phone number to dial in and then it opens! A total experience.

What an amazing evening! Two of my favorite things: A speakeasy, and a tiki bar. So a tikeasy!…read moreSure, it took a couple of tries, and maybe asking the wait staff at the Irish bar next door, where the tikeasy was hiding. You enter an immersive world that really outshines any tiki bar to which I've ever been. The magic radiates out of every nook and cranny. That was complimented by our bartender, Billy, knocking out some perfect killer classics, like a real Mai Tai, and Navy Grog, that, post the 1950s became kind of sugar filled, over-the-top mockeries of the Tiki cocktail arts. No mockery here. Just the old school magic. It's a very analog, and thankfully honest, unhipster revival for a generation who knows not of Bali Hai, Don the Beachcomber, the Mai Kai, and San Francisco's once-great, now seedy Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar, at the Fairmont Hotel, on Nob Hill. The crowd, including the regulars, were a lot of fun. In all, a really awesome evening! Five stars, for all of that, and a sixth for the memories.

We made a reservation prior to coming because in order to make it inside you need to book a reservation. The establishment is small which is why you have to reserve. We came at around 10:45 and our reservation was for 11:00. They sat us down right away. The vibes are chill and cool, there's a dj playing music. It was like house, tech vibes. The music was great and people were enjoying their time. We had 1 cocktail each and went on our way because we just came to check out the spot honestly. I had the fabulous martini which has a purple hue to it, it was very refreshing. I love that they garnish it with a lavender. The espresso martini was made with Don Julio Reposado, and had real fresh espresso as per the menu. It was good but a bit strong too! We had asked for an extra shot of espresso on the side just as a pick me up. But our server told us that it comes cold, which is odd because the menu literally says freshly brewed espresso in the cocktail description. It was fine though, we still enjoyed the drinks. Overall, our experience was nice! If you are ever in the Hialeah area, you should totally check this spot out. They also have bites you can order but we were full from dinner and didn't get a chance to try anything. Definitely have to come back to try some more cocktails and grab some bites!

It's owned and run by a husband and wife team who are both Miami natives. Marylin is the social media/marketing force behind the team and her husband Haidar is the master brewer who also took the time to travel to Japan and become a certified Sake Sommelier. This place offers a variety of high-quality sakes and also beer on tap plus wine and bubbles. The space is huge with an eclectic decor. Each week they invite and food truck or popup vendor serving sushi, yakitori, smash burgers, and pizza. They also have different events/themes every night so make sure to check their IG constantly. Parking is also easy as it's located in a warehouse area so there are plenty of spaces after 4 or 5. This is a cool place to hang out with friends and family or if you want to learn more about sake. Definitely a hidden gem, you would never expect this spot when parking. When you head inside, it feels like an "I Spy" book, with little trinkets and new things to find with every second glance. The staff was super friendly and helped us navigate the menu, giving us recommendations. I ended up getting the La Toxica which appealed to me because it had melon soda. This one was a bit more on the sweet side and I enjoyed my partner's drink more- Agua de Violeta. This one was a fav of the night! Right next door, aka connected via an open door, was their dive bar- Yokocho. We headed into this spot after hanging a bit so we could hang out in there (a bit more spacious) and even play some pool. We got to meet one of the owners, Haidar, and he was super nice. We got some beer and hung out here for the rest of the night. We did get a little hungry so decided to get Cup of Noodle ramen (which was $1) and they had a cooler with hot water we used to make it. Such a cool spot and definitely recommend!

Ruka Winewood has been on my radar for a while and I recently found out they have happy hours between 6-9pm, so what a better opportunity to give it a try. For a Wednesday night, they had a fair number of customers. I sampled their happy hour red blend pour. It was mid body, somewhat complex but low on tannins which allowed for easy and smooth drinking. The fruit content was moderate. It was the perfect wine for an early night, to sip and hang out with friends. I pretty much enjoyed the two glasses I had. Service was not the best to be honest. During the 1 hour I was there, no one checked on me. No one asked me if I wanted more wine, water or another pizza, etc. I was hopping to have their charcuterie board paired with wine, but they had no charcuterie. I asked for the pizza options and hey only had one out of the 3 options on the menu, only the cheese pizza. The pizza is not the best looking pizza, but it tasted delicious. The cheese was sort of smokey, that was delish. I would have that pizza again. Summarizing, I'm coming back pretty soon for their red wine, at $5/glass, you can't beat that up, specially when it is such high quality. I hope they have the charcuterie next time.
