I've had my camper van for about 2 years and have had the hardest time finding a reliable, knowledgeable, professional and trustworthy service center. I was totally convinced that there were just no good options in the San Diego area. But then I found San Diego RV Center!!! They are literally everything I was looking for. They provide every kind of RV service I could imagine, even exterior body/paint work. I was working directly with the manufacturer on a myriad of warrantee items, and SD RV Center was able to step right in seamlessly. They maintained excellent communications with both me and the manufacturer throughout the repair, they were able to successfully troubleshoot difficulties which arose in the process, they took great care of my coach when it was in their possession, and they did the repairs much more quickly than other places I had previously gone. They were friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, professional, skilled in their craftsmanship, absolutely fair in their pricing and proficient in their field. While they are located near Alpine (and I live near the coast), they are situated in a very nice, quiet neighborhood. I will happily drive out to their location for the exceptional service, great staff and reasonable pricing.

Never once did they show me a fifth wheel trailer with a toy hauler room and 2 bathrooms which would've been perfect for my family! I ended up buying what I thought was great travel trailer rv for us but I was completely wrong and got screwed over. At first it seemed spacious enough for us but after living in this thing for a little over a year now and it is one of my biggest regrets! We bought a 2025 rv and we have barely been living in it for a little over 1 year and it's already falling apart. I can touch the roof without even fully extending my arms. The shelves and cupboards are falling apart. The kitchen is tiny there is no counter space and the refrigerator is already broken. They made this with cheapest parts possible. Theres only 1 restroom and it's so small it's very uncomfortable to go number 2! I was told the rv I was buying was one of they're biggest ones yet over this past year I've seen multiple rv with so much more space more and over 50% cheaper than what I paid for mine. This was definitely a learning experience for myself. I thought I could trust that these people would help me in getting the rv that fits me and my family's needs but instead they sold me an overpriced cheaply made rv. So just a warning be careful when buying from this place or any other rv place and do tons of research before settling! Now the service department at Blue compass is telling us we need to purchase a new fridge and AC unit! Is this the standard for a coach that was over $100,000 and use 6 times? Our glass shower door shattered last year, we didn't even bother with that. Seeing as how the Blue Compass service center is of no help! To make matters worse, Jeff the service manager has been repeatedly rude and condescending. He talks to my husband, a 21 year vet and fire fighter, as if he is an idiot. His communication is poor, and he makes you feel dismissed and talked down to. We purchased the coach their brand new in 2023 and trusted they would provide honest, professional service, and they fell short. I would not recommend them to anyone for purchasing or repairs. Our next step is Grand Design and then an attorney.

It has been running fantastic for the last 3 years and after just getting off the phone with them I wanted to make sure everyone knew about their services before, during and AFTER the install. We had our solar installed in 2023 by Zack and his team. I found them through Yelp and from the first phone call with them I knew who was doing my install. We have a 2019 Riverstone fifth wheel and Zack helped me properly size the system based on how we would be traveling to ensure we didn't go over or under our expectations and stayed within our budget. We went with 2400 watts solar, 1080 Ah of batteries, and dual Victron multiplus inverters and it does everything we need it to We are full time in our RV and this has given us a lot more freedom where and how we stay. They are a Harvest Host so we were able to stay on site in the trailer, Zack worked with me on location of the components, made great recommendations and we wound up with a great & professional install.in just a few days. Since 2023 I have had a couple opportunities where I needed to talk to Zack about a hook up at an RV campground or a some small issue/question, each time he was responsive, extremely helpful and never made me feel I was a nuisance or bothering him. WOW where do I even begin.... I wish I had taken the previous reviewers' advice and steered clear…read moreof RVFunRental. I ended up being another victim of a ridiculous insurance claim that had completely no merit. $1,500(RVShare deductable) was charged 2 months after the trip. And on top of it all RVFunRental didn't even tell us there were any issues. Walked the RV upon return and noted everything looked great. In fact we were the ones who had issues with the RV during the trip. Details below.... First red flag, RVFunRental did a bait and swap with our RV a few weeks before the trip. They said the previous one had issues and gave us a different one. At departure, we met with Greg from RV Fun Rental in Mission Viejo. This is how they service OC clients, meet in Mission Viejo with the RV and a car towed behind and then use the car to return to their office. We walked the C20 Entegra Class C with Greg from RVFunRental and the RV was very dirty (2nd red flag). We took photos of the RV before, inside and outside, and decided to move forward with our trip. Once we arrived at our destination and tried to start the generator it would not work. We called RVFunRental directly and they tried to walk us through a fix. Nothing worked and a mechanic could not come to our location. We had to deal with no AC or power with the June heat. It was very frustrating! Basically, a glorified tent. We coordinated the return of the RV with Greg to meet in Mission Viejo. Greg walked the RV with us and we informed about the issues we had with the generator and AC during our trip. It was very hot and unfortunate that the generator would not start. He apologized for the inconvenience and noted they would do their best to make it 'right'. He then proceeded to hook up his car to the RV(tow his vehicle using the RV) and drive back to their office located at 1553 S. Coast Hwy Oceanside, CA. The drive from Mission Viejo to Oceanside is about 40 miles. I tried to coordinate with Miguel from their office about our trip issues and a refund but nothing prevailed. He ghosted me and said he couldn't do anything. So I paid $1,805 for the RV and had no power basically to the RV! No refund or partial refund was ever given to me. RVShare and RVFunRental ignored my claim issues. A few days later we received an email from RVShare stating that there was a claim against us. I replied saying they MUST have it wrong since we were the ones who had issues. A month or so later RVShare again reached out and said the claim from RVFunRental was still open and that it is regarding "..the ABS light and traction control light coming on. This could indicate overheated brake components from improper use, harsh braking, or incorrect driving practices." We had no issues with braking or driving during our trip. The actual RV drove just fine. My husband, who drove, has a class A license and literally drives large vehicles for work. We have also owned RV's before in the past. To say we 'improperly used the brakes' is insane! And on top of it, as noted before, Greg used the RV after we returned it in Mission Viejo to tow his car back to their office. If there really were issues after our reservation, why would he proceed to drive the RV 40 additional miles towing a vehicle! I have been battling with RVShare as well since they deemed the claim OK and charged me the $1,500 deductable. RVFunRental's claim for this repair was $4,290!!!!! Absolutely insane that they are claiming we caused this damage! We literally had no issues with the brakes. RVFunRental has done this before to other renters as well. I added the reviews/ complaints from the Better Business Bureau below. PLEASE PLEASE do you own research and understand the RVShare insurance. It's very easy for 'owners' to submit claims and note that it was caused by the renter. It's an easy way for them to get money to fix outstanding issues, maintenance, etc. on their RVs. Smells A LOT like insurance FRAUD. I would NOT recommend using RVShare and would definitely not recommend using RVFunRental. I feel completely taken advantage of. Don't WALK, RUN away from using either of these companies. Sandy Vans to the Rescue!…read more So... my original awning decided to pick a fight with the wind. The wind won. Turns out my Exclusive Outfitters-built Sprinter van had a VERY heavy electric Dometic awning supported by only TWO mounting brackets. And just to make things more interesting, those brackets were attached with riv-nuts drilled into the corner of my roof--which also happens to be a pop-top. I'm no engineer, but a giant heavy awning + two brackets + a pop-top roof apparently wasn't the winning combination we all hoped for. Enter Sandy Vans. I live in San Diego and needed a replacement awning ASAP because we're leaving for Utah in a couple of days. I contacted Sandy Vans and had an awesome experience from the very beginning. I spoke with Cindy two days in a row, and she was fantastic--super helpful, courteous, patient, and accommodating. When I came in to pick up the awning, if she didn't know the answer to one of my questions, she didn't just shrug and send me on my way. She immediately found someone who did. That kind of customer service goes a long way. Then came Braden. Also extremely helpful and accommodating. He handled my purchase and even gave me his cell number so I could text him if I decided to install the awning myself and needed some technical support. He did briefly mistake my Sprinter for a Ford Transit... I'll forgive him. My van has a pop-top, so it doesn't look like the 9-foot-tall Sprinter skyscrapers that make up about 90% of camper vans these days. Then Brian came out from the shop and actually took the time to look over my van and roof rack to figure out how I could mount the new awning. He gave me several ideas, explained different options, and made the whole project seem doable. Sandy Vans offered to install it, but apparently I enjoy making my life more difficult, so I decided to tackle the installation myself with a good friend. About 2.5 hours, some cutting, grinding, a few choice words directed at the old mounting brackets, and probably a questionable amount of confidence later... NEW AWNING INSTALLED! What impressed me most about Sandy Vans was that they were helpful even after realizing I might not be paying them to do the installation. They still took the time to answer questions, look at my setup, offer advice, and make themselves available if I ran into problems. That says a lot about a business. I highly recommend Sandy Vans for their customer service, knowledge, courtesy, availability, and willingness to actually help their customers. Cindy, Braden, and Brian were all great to deal with. Now hopefully this awning and the Utah wind can maintain a respectful relationship.

I finally got around to reaching out to Sandy Vans to see about getting a replacement and was told that "this item is outside of their return window" (which is 30 days) but they could offer me $50 off towards a new $200 bug screen.. which seems silly considering the first one fell apart. I'm not sure about their other products, but the bug screens are garbage! I declined their pitiful offer of $50 off a new one and told them I'd purchase from a company with a more durable product. I'd recommend anyone else thinking about buying this product do the same!
