I recently moved to Philadelphia and was looking to get my first cleaning done that my home had…read moreever had (It is new construction, so its mostly just dusty if anything as I have no children or pets and my husband and I are rarely even home). The staff was extremely friendly and trustworthy however the reason for my low review is the cost. They charge a high hourly rate (I think it's around $115/hour) or something crazy like that, and then they will nickel and dime each minute after the first 60 minutes. I decided to give them a try due to the great reviews but I guess my expectations were too high. Let's just say I can clean my house just as well, and save myself $150, which is what I will be doing moving forward. When the staff called to learn about our recent experience, my husband shared his feedback, and it was not well received. Like I said, the staff is fine and nice/trustworthy, but in my opinion this is a rip off and if your house is pretty clean to begin with and you don't mind dusting/swiffering a little then save your $$$.

However, because we were going to be having lot of people spending the entire weekend at our place - for my best friend's bachelorette party - we decided to bite the bullet and hire someone to clean it!! I reached out to Gleam and Clean and they immediately responded with their quote. They also were available exactly when I preferred to have them. On the day of service, was only one person to clean my whole house (two story South Philly row home - 2 bed, 1.5 baths, finished basement) but boy did he take his time and do a VERY THOROUGH job!! It was spectacular! He used all of his own supplies and they were even pet friendly (since I have a cat)! This was also something they offered even without my asking. He was a very kind person and I'm so thankful for his work! Will definitely use again!!

They appear a family outfit, which I liked. We communicated via Yelp and they were quick to respond, professional and friendly. And they were transparent and clear on their services and pricing. They were great sending multiple reminders to ensure no scheduling surprises, and they showed up exactly when scheduled! Their equipment is all self-contained, meaning no hose is run from a truck parked outside, which was critical on a day like today with single-digit temps! The 2-person team got right to work; they vacuumed first (which many don't!), then pre-treated, then got to work! I wish I had taken before photos, but let me say my one area was heavily blood stained by a sick large dog and they got that ALL out! They were methodical, detail oriented, and you can tell they took pride in doing a great job. And they did. The last photo below shows how much dog hair they removed from my carpet!!! They are a great value for the work, and had no hidden or extra charges. They came and completed the job for the price they quoted, and I was happy to tip! They are now my go-to for all my carpet cleaning needs. I haven't yet tried them for housekeeping, but I will! Based on the job they did today, they will be great there also!
