I also earned my AA degree from a junior college, so I was already familiar with being in school and taking state exams. While attending this school, I worked as a notary notarizing loan documents, which gave me the flexibility to support myself during the program. The truth is that I have had a passion for nursing since junior college. Although Nursing is an intimidating career, I could not ignore the feeling that it was calling me. I entered the program one month after it had already started, which made the beginning very challenging. I barely slept at first, but once I adjusted to the pace, it became manageable. If you stay focused and put in the time & work, you will graduate. You must study, read the required material, and follow your instructors' guidance. At the time, our exam preparation for the NCLEX was through ATI. I graduated from the 21-month LVN program in July 2021. I was a COVID-era student, and although hospital clinicals were limited, we still attended clinicals when allowed. I completed several days at a local community hospital in Norwalk. Since graduating, I passed the NCLEX on the 1st try and have done well with my LVN license. I worked in a hospital for about 8 months but realized it was not the best fit for me because I wanted to help my patients more quickly without waiting for RN's to push IV meds. I now work at different rehabilitation healthcare centers (nursing homes) and sub Acute, which I enjoy. Overall, this school helped me take my first steps as an LVN, and I plan to pursue my RN in the future. I recommend this school to anyone willing to stay disciplined, prioritize studying, read their books, watch learning videos, and support their cohort. If you truly commit, you can succeed. The teaching staff is very knowledgeable, can be strict, but one appreciates it once you are taking the ncelx exam. This school works with you and its up to you to put in the work at home, if you put in at least 2 hours of study for every 1 of class, you will breeze through it. The ATI program we used is very helpful, master it and use it often. If you treat people with respect they will treat you with respect, that's everywhere.. I am putting my son through this program as soon as he's out of high school.

Weekly or bi-weekly payments are accepted for the 10 weekend CNA course. The staff takes care of everything from student CNA badges to sending in all of the paperwork needed to take the state exam. IVA was my school of choice for my son, because LB Unified refused to let my son attend his home school when we moved to another part of Long Beach. LBUSD also made the school selection and enrollment process so much more difficult that I decided to pull my child out altogether. Save the drama for your mama. In comparison, IVA had an easy enrollment and application process. I was able to contact someone from the school every time I had a question or concern. The student-teacher ratio is something LBUSD has historically fallen short on, and with IVA teachers knew my son by name. The learning environment became a small community built on pillars of intellectual virtues. As a parent, I appreciated the one-on-one communication from my child's instructors. I also enjoyed the social gatherings of parents, students and instructors, when I did have time to participate. Really, it's a private school feel without the price tag. My son was afforded opportunities he would have never had experienced in LBUSD as far as athletics and extracurricular activities such as weight lifting club, photography, and yearbook committee. Geographically, the area of the school is a little rough, but the school does have a nice outdoor area in the back for student activities away from the "distractions" of LB Blvd.

I went to Ecologics to take their AHERA Contractor Supervisor and Project Designer course. I needed…read moreto find a place to get my certificates so I could apply to take my CAC exam. Ecologics has a family-style vibe with a few other staff members. They have a relaxed environment with a pretty happy attitude. I don't think I could even imagine anyone getting upset in the office. The class sizes were about five people on average. This was nice since you get more attention versus larger size class. They have two instructors teaching these classes. They usually mix it up to switch up with teaching style and scheduling. I enjoyed the two courses I took with them, and so I returned to take the CAC prep exam. I worked with their instructors over three days and had a 1 on 1 session with them for several hours. One of them even stayed over extra hours just to make sure I understood the material. As a result, I passed my CAC exam on my first try. It's pretty easy to say that I couldn't do it without them. I highly recommend this school to others. The only tip I would add is at times to the instructor might get off topic, just remind them here and there and you should be good.
