My kids have been coming to this tutoring center for years. My oldest is 23 and he was coming during his high school years. My daughter is 19, also came when she was in high school and now my youngest who is 12 has started coming. We decided to put my 12 year old when he was having some trouble with his grades during this covid season. He was hesitant about it when he found out he was going to start coming once a week but after his first appointment with his tutor he walked out very happy , he even said to me "mom I learned so much in one hour, my tutor knows more then my teacher". The one on one lessons make a big difference and sometimes that's all your child might need. Everyone in the center is very nice, very helpful and caring. The tutor will also keep in touch with your child's teacher to find out what your child is struggling in or what may be coming up that he needs to study for. Overall this place is amazing, they can really help your child turn things around and compare to other tutor center it is very affordable. read more

My Son started going to Tutoring here in Dec 2021. He attends twice a week. My first visit I let the lady know I wanted my son to have the same tutor for Monday's that will focus on reading and Wednesday same tutor to focus on math. Unfortunately, I'm not able to take my son because I work so I have somebody else take him. But on Wednesday I was able to pick him up. I talk to the lady that was tutoring him. (I don't remember her name) we talked outside and the first thing that came out was "he just doesn't get it". She seemed very overwhelmed. She told me how she thinks my son is more like a visual learner. "He needs to draw out to solve math problems". I said yes that's what he does at home. She said she wish she would've known that before. I asked her if this is her first time tutoring my son. Because the way she was talking and hasn't gotten the hang of things, to figure out his strategy. It was only her second time helping him. I didn't get a good feeling from her. she was speaking very negative. I went to my car where my son is waiting for me. he was sad and holding back tears And he said, "I feel like the teacher was trying to call me dumb." They were working on a math problem and my son wasn't getting it so She asked him "if he had ADHD or something". I was very upset! There was no manager on site. I'm waiting for a call back it's only been 1 day, but the lady on the phone told me she was going to send him a text. Not sure why he thinks this could wait. I sign my son up so he can build confidence and all this lady did was bring us 10 steps backwards. Me and my family are very upset. Very unprofessional read more

My daughter has been coming here for two years, and it has helped her greatly with her math classes. We also did the SAT prep for her, and that improved her score. Being our first born and not having the experience with all the college requirements, we signed her up for their College Coaching program. This was a blessing to us, Manuel and Micaela really helped her filling out all the applications and the personal statements. I bombard Manuel with emails regarding College Financial Aid, and he always responds back in the most helpful and professional way. Tutor-zone in Orange has been a very supportive and amazing place for my daughter. My teen daughter did the "math advance" program in the summer, and it helped her test out of a whole quarter of math this year in her Aleks math program. In addition, Sufia is an excellent writing tutor. Brian the manager is very helpful and accommodating when we need to pop in for a tutoring session. My brother started going here to improve on his school work. I can definitely say, there was a HUGE improvement. The staff is extremely professional, and really get to know their students. They do a pre test to see where the student is currently at, and build from there. The place looks very professional. What I really like is that at the end of every sessions the tutor talks briefly with you to cover what they went over during the sessions, and what they will be focusing on in there next session. Took my grandsons to this Tutor Zone about 6 weeks ago while they were on summer break. The staff there is very professional yet friendly with the kids. The boys are 9 & 10 years old and both of them enjoyed their tutoring sessions covering math & reading. They just started their new school year & feel more confident about starting the new grades. My almost 29-year-old son was one of the first students to attend Tutor Zone when he was in middle school. Manny and Brian were bright young men with a vision who understood every aspect of educating and being educators. My son had an IEP, struggled in Math, and could not get the help he needed from school. Manny spent countless hours teaching him, went to IEPs to educate the experts, designed lessons for him, and against all the odds helped him become a success story. According to all of the school experts, he would not have attended college because they said it would take too much study time, and he wouldn't be able to handle it. My response was, your job is to make sure he is in all of the A-G classes he needs to be to get to college, and the rest is up to us. Longer story short, he was accepted to a four-year college out of high school. He graduated with a bachelors of science degree in Geography, GIS. He is currently in graduate school, and successfully employed in the field he received his degree. All of that would not have taken place without Tutor Zone. For that, I will be forever grateful because they made sure my son had a chance. read more

My son came here for chemistry tutoring, he's a sophomore in high school. He had gotten C'S before coming here, but needed a little help. After working here with the tutor, he failed his test, failed AFTER getting "help" When I spoke to him about how the tutor was teaching him a what he had learned, he said she basically he gave him the answers to the packet and he didn't understand any of it. Before going here, he studied hard, but understood the material. I was looking for someone to help him with learning and make it a little easier for him to understand. He got the total opposite. The only reason for any stars is because Manuel refunded me for the times he'd met with the tutor. read more

We enrolled our son at Tutor Zone in his sophomore year because he was too lazy to do and finish his homework. Definitely, Tutor Zone and all the tutors were a great help for him, they do not only teach him, help him they also encourage him and were an example for him, at the end of the school year he did not have any missing homework and his grades improve from D to B and A.
