I worked several years as a LVN in many different setting. Part of the LVN program requires a candidate to train in all types of settings. I returned 10 years later and was hired to teach in the LVN program. ROP changed my life. The average cost for private nursing programs is between 20 ad 60,000. ROP is a public training center with mininmal cost. I would say go today, Enrol today. They will change your life. Do it. Today.

So, for a fee I was able to have NOROC put in an order from the institution that handles student records. I was told it could take 4 - 6 weeks. Six months later, no mail, no phone call, no nothing. Instead, I lost money and have nothing to show that I went to NOROC. So far, I'm not too impressed with this organization. I was a good student, Cheating students from Romania received "Student of the Year" awards, and I was kicked out of the program for missing a single assignment (but of course, the library was never open after internship). I would not recommend this place. Just study on your own. Pass the written exam then try to find a school that would give you clinical experience.

I took the lecture portion back in summer 2020 over zoom and completed my in person training after I passed my NHA exam. After that I was sent out to complete my 40 hour externship to apply for my CPT-I license. I am so grateful to be able to meet Brian, Linn, and Mr. Castro. Not only did I learned so much phlebotomy skills, I also receive so much advice for school and career. They are the most kindest advisors and instructor that I know and I appreciate their help so much. They were patient and took their time with me and all my student peers. I was able to take a huge step into my medical journey all thanks to them. Til this day, all the tips that Mr. Castro taught me I still use for successful venipunctures. I am now currently working at an Urgent Care as a phlebotomist (and MA)!

The curriculum is scattered, the instructor is constantly distracted with her midwife job and checking her phone during class, and at one point she didn't even realize she hadn't shared the venipuncture video before sending us into lab. On October 1st, she didn't show up at all, and another person, Linnea, "taught" us by reading directly off a slideshow, giving unclear or incorrect answers, and providing no real guidance in lab. In lab, I personally witnessed unsafe practices: being told to draw from a swollen site after already being instructed not to, the instructor palpating after the site had already been cleaned, lack of proper tourniquet disinfection, improper PPE use, and students reusing contaminated equipment. Even the parking lot felt unsafe. A woman filmed me while I was arriving. Linnea herself has admitted she feels unsafe at this location, told us to park in a better-lit area, and even said she's afraid of someone "popping out of the bushes." When I told her about the incident of being filmed, she grabbed her keys and asked me to point out where the person went. I told her where but said it wasn't worth my energy or safety to confront the individual. Her response was "it's worth my time" and she quickly went upstairs. I stayed downstairs because I was not comfortable or safe confronting someone who had just been recording me in my car. After three days, I decided to withdraw. I sent a formal email requesting a refund (which the school's own staff confirmed I am entitled to within the time frame). Instead of addressing my email, Linnea left me a voicemail saying she found out I dropped "through the internet," which is unprofessional. She obviously received a notification that they got a one-star Yelp review, and the level of unprofessionalism is only being exacerbated by her response. This program is not safe, not professional, and not a place where students can truly learn. I cannot recommend it to anyone.

Admissions guy was really friendly and answered all my questions and walked me through the entrance process and financial aid. Everyone was really friendly and personable and the classes I saw on the tour seemed engaged. Planning on a May start, they also cross-train X-Ray Techs as Medical Assistants, so win-win.

There were some details that turned me away, but it's too petty and ridiculous to post here at the moment. They had openings the very next month, but since classes only have 8-9 students, it's hard to believe that it wasn't full already. Although the classrooms looked cool, and I enjoyed the tour, there was this feeling like they were only after students' money and not their well-being. I guess I would have preferred speaking with one of the teachers, and not a counselor/advisor that doesn't quite have the expertise in the field. They have the limited X-ray license program for a year with morning/evening options. I forget the pricing, but I was told that many students choose this private schooling because of the community college waiting lists. Also, the presentation was extremely short and felt like it was cut short. Regardless, I would personally rather go through public education somewhere like Cypress, Mt. SAC, El Camino, LACC, etc.

Ms. Williams was knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and genuinely cared about her students' success. Ms. Williams took the time to encourage me and remind me to keep going. Her words of encouragement meant a lot to me and helped me stay motivated. What I appreciated most was that the support didn't end when the course was over. Ms. Williams continued to support and encourage me while I prepared for my NHA exam. She was always willing to help me study, answer questions, and encourage me to believe in myself. Having an instructor who continues to support her students even after the program is something I truly appreciate. Overall, my experience in the Phlebotomy program was a very positive one. I'm grateful for the knowledge, hands-on experience, and support I received throughout my time at the school. They help you understand different welding positions, and thoroughly teach you many techniques to help achieve your welding goals. Learning something new can make you frustrated with yourself at times, but with their guidance, it can be accomplished. They were also very accommodating to my full time work schedule, which made the experience even better. After about 5 1/2 months & only a few days a week, I received my 3G/4G welding certification.
