I really enjoyed the Aviation program at this school when I started. For reference, I will be…read moregraduating in February 2026 with my General, Airframe and Powerplant written tests completed on my own time with a voucher from the school (one of the positives of the Aviation program). When I started, I felt like I was challenged: I was in a new field, I was using my brain in new ways to complete projects that felt out of my league; to my surprise, I have passed all of my courses with flying colors. I have never failed a final or a class, and I've maintained a steady 3.5 GPA, despite being homeless due to the egregious prices for student housing (I could write a whole other review in that alone... ) However, as I'm nearing the end of my academic career at UTI, I'm noticing a severe imbalance in the expectations for the students VS. the curriculum they're given. The curriculum, specifically in the Airframe and Powerplant sections, is either severely, SEVERELY lacking or is WAY too much work to fit into three weeks of class. For example, our Sheetmetal classes (both Beginner and Advanced) were packed full of projects. We were starting a new project every other day, and it was messy. I got along as best as I could and completed most of my projects with good grades, but I couldn't help but notice how many equally qualified classmates were struggling to meet their deadlines because of how much they were expected to finish. When you only have two pressurized air tanks and one drill press shared between classes ranging from 15 to 50 students, I have no idea how you expect every single one of us to return a perfect, industry-standard project to you. For my second example: Turbines and Props. As a technician in training, this is the meat and potatoes of being a technician. You WANT to know what is going on with these systems hands-on as much as possible, for the safety of yourself and others. But despite this, not a single day (or maybe one day, if you're lucky!) is spent doing hands-on training. We have a Piper 28R-180 in stellar condition, a Robinson R-22 and multiple turbine engines to work with. Why are we not being dragged by the shirt collars to study these?? Instead, our instructors are putting on YouTube videos for the last 4 hours we have to sit here. On that note, let's talk about the "seat time" requirement. This school is over 3 years behind FAA regulations when it comes to seat time. The FAA repealed its former seat time requirement in May 2022, according to CFR Part 147 subpart 17, Paragraph A-3 (I will attach a photo.) This seat time requirement was repealed when the FAA began feeling a rising demand for new AMTs. So, they updated the terminology from "seat time" to "proficiency-based" in hopes of training as many new AMTs as possible to fill the demand. However, UTI still insists on this outdated seat time requirement. You come in to school, get your work that's due done within an hour, and waste the rest of your day sitting in class doing quite literally nothing, and those of us who will excel in the field are passing (i.e. Proficient, according to CFR Part 17, Subpart 17, Subparagraph A-3. Look it up.) If you want us here for 4 more hours, you need to be giving us hands-on experience instead of showing us YouTube shorts. Otherwise I would love to use the rest of my day to work so I don't go into debt repaying this sorry excuse for an AMT school back for curriculum that gives me the bare minimum. Spend $50k somewhere else until this school gets it together. Lots of love, figure it the f**k out, Greyson P.S: Change the damn acronym. "Universal Institute of Technology". I will never wear this school's name proudly.

This company is extremely mismanaged. I attended in 2023 and have simply been trying to obtain my transcript and clarification on whether my coursework was measured in units or credits. This is basic information, yet I've been sent in circles without resolution. It's very frustrating and unprofessional. Additionally, after graduating from the automotive program, I can confidently say the education was not worth the $40,000-$60,000 cost. I've seen more in-depth instruction and hands-on training at community colleges for a fraction of the price. In my opinion, the program does not justify the tuition.

Notary Public Class - Notary training

Notary Public Class

But before we took the exam, me and those two other students were talking about how we weren't confident about taking the exam because of the instructor and her horrible confusing teaching. The instructor, which I'm guessing is the business owner, was 10 minutes late to the class and then she started the class an hour late and only checking in like six students. There were barely any students there. So an hour of teaching time was wasted because she was lollygagging. As the instructor sat down to start teaching the class, she kept stopping to text message somebody and I don't know if it was her boyfriend, but she had a huge smile on her face, Every time she was texting somebody. She did not answer questions that I had for her. She kept saying that those questions weren't necessary to answer because they weren't on the test. I paid almost $400 to take that class. I would much appreciate if you answer the questions that I have, regardless, if it's on the test or not. And then, when I finally passed the exam after having to take it a second time and after having to purchase an online Notary course by EZ Notary. I spoke to the owner on the phone and asked how can I get the rest of my supplies which is a journal, my bond and my seal. She said I would have to pay for the shipping since I don't live around there and I'm not willing to go get it in person to pick up the supplies. Her team or her emailed me the invoice for the shipment, it was $31, just to ship my bond and then I would have to pay for a second shipment for the rest of my supplies. Talk about ripping students off. Another thing is you have to pay for parking. when I called before I placed the order I asked her assistant or her front desk person do I have to pay for parking, he said no that we can get it validated for you. But nobody wanted to validate the ticket unless you bought something in that building. The parking was $20. Do not pay to take the in person class and do not pay for any other Notary course from her. She is a horrible instructor. I would not waste your time or your money. There is a much better chance passing the exam through someone else online course. Good luck!
