I attended the automotive and tried aviation but dropped the course due to many things. First automotive, you get what you put in, also attended BMW fast track at this school. Highly recommend that program. As far as aviation, at the current state when i attended. I cannot in good faith say this a a ready and worthy program for your money and more importantly time. I only attended the first two courses which I almost dropped out the first week due to the online and the only way to get your information from the school. The slides were completely unreadable. Not just on one but multiple different lessons. The instructor would also have no clue what info was being relayed so they would skip over the slide. I only stayed for the second course due to my experience in automotive being overall positive. But the second course was an even worse experience. Same unreadable slides but it also was accompanied by whole day labs being thrown out all together. I used my GI Bill not for the money but to actually learn something. It's sad as I can see the potential and at times I was interested but with this many problems early in the program do not attend unless you just wanna waste your GI Bill for two years. Now I owe the school more money for something they should have never let people attend

Matt and a few other instructors make it seem like its a burden to have to help students. A lot of the equipment is also old and broken and students are then blamed for it. I honestly did not feel like anyone at CIEMT wanted me to succeed. The entire experience felt like I was being hazed. Being yelled at and demeaned is not a bug but a feature of CIEMT. Do not attend this school if you want to have a good experience learning. I promise you that you will regret it. Do not be fooled by the low program cost. I ended up taking another EMT class at UCLA and I passed without any issues. Please take your hard earned money elsewhere.

I went to their website and registered for the June course, paid the $250 fee, and only then noticed I had been enrolled in the May session instead. I never even viewed the May option, and this all happened within two minutes. I immediately registered again this time correctly for the June course. Since it was late at night, I couldn't call right away, but I contacted the school the next day to explain the situation and request a refund for the mistaken May enrollment. The woman I spoke with was incredibly rude, dismissive, and repeatedly blamed me, refusing to even hear me out. She said it's my fault and that it's none refundable and that I singed it. She made it clear that they wouldn't help. So, I had no choice but to dispute the charge with my bank. Then today, I received an email saying I was being refunded for the June class the one I actually wanted and was told I'm no longer welcome at their school for making a false dispute which is not true. Meanwhile, three of my friends registered with me, and after hearing about this experience, they've decided to go elsewhere. So congratulations you kept $250, but lost four students. I will be exploring legal action due to your unprofessional conduct and the clear issues with your glitchy website. Future students, do yourself a favor and find a school that actually cares.

Community college is supposed to be accessible to the general public. Although LBCC is a public…read moreschool, the administration makes it just about as difficult and vague and tedious of a process as possible. Phone wait times are cuh-raaaaaay-ZEE. Bunnies. Bunnies. BUNNIES. Everywhere, all the time, and they're fat and imposing and not skittish at all. You WILL be having to move out of their way, because they won't move out of yours. This has been going on for years and years and is sort of a charming part of LBCC. There are just as many bunnies as students on campus at any given moment, and it's comical. Social life and opportunities on-campus are also a plus. In general, the culture here is very chill, very live-and-let-live. There are constantly scouting events, some subtle and some not, so if you have any desire to be on a t.v. show or in a movie, or a part of some experiment or prank or whatever, you don't have to look very hard...it'll be just as likely that you'll get approached first. Parking lots (of which there are several, including a five-story complex), on top of the fact that you have to pay for a new sticker every semester, are ill-equipped to handle the volume of cars that LBCC needs to host. In addition to having to leave wiggle room for everyday traffic, I vividly remember having to leave additional room on top of that for the parking lot circling. The one great thing this school had going for it was/is a big handful of the instructors. I had a few that made a positive, lifelong impression on me, and I'm grateful for that. Extra shoutouts to Lauren Dees. Her drawing class was AMAZING!

The weather news said "we were not suppose to be outside in 105 degrees weather, but the school decided to change the graduation location at the last minute!!! They should have separated the majors on different days for the graduation, so we did not have to wait long!!! Many people waited long with sun in their faces!! They should have had solar panel at the stadium or host it inside!! A lot of people got sun burnt! There was no water fountain near the bathroom!! Furthermore, the graduation was okay. I would not recommend going to it!!

IVA was my school of choice for my son, because LB Unified refused to let my son attend his home school when we moved to another part of Long Beach. LBUSD also made the school selection and enrollment process so much more difficult that I decided to pull my child out altogether. Save the drama for your mama. In comparison, IVA had an easy enrollment and application process. I was able to contact someone from the school every time I had a question or concern. The student-teacher ratio is something LBUSD has historically fallen short on, and with IVA teachers knew my son by name. The learning environment became a small community built on pillars of intellectual virtues. As a parent, I appreciated the one-on-one communication from my child's instructors. I also enjoyed the social gatherings of parents, students and instructors, when I did have time to participate. Really, it's a private school feel without the price tag. My son was afforded opportunities he would have never had experienced in LBUSD as far as athletics and extracurricular activities such as weight lifting club, photography, and yearbook committee. Geographically, the area of the school is a little rough, but the school does have a nice outdoor area in the back for student activities away from the "distractions" of LB Blvd.
