Marisa and team were a godsend! Sewer failed at the main city line and was scrambling making calls to many companies-Marisa answered in the early morning hours on a Saturday. She was able to give me an estimate and was cost effective and she started scheduling the job that day! She got the permits pushed though super fast-she knew all the tricky things City of Longmont requires and knew the inspectors. Work started 5 days later!We had a major set back, the City was requiring a pothole of the line to make sure they missed the water main. Marisa pulled though and got a service out there in one hour keeping everything on schedule! City inspections went smooth because they know their work is quality. Job was done 2 hours early. I had a what turned out to be a minor plumbing issue that quite easily could have fixed myself, but I wanted an expert to look at it to confirm my findings since it dealt with my main sewer line. I called Sewer Experts to request an estimate to have them come look at and fix the problem. The receptionist was quick to respond, asked for pics, got the sup on the line and we discussed the nature of the issue. The sup said it did not seem to be a big issue. Receptionist sent a formal estimate over for $200. She emphasized that this was just an estimate until the crew arrived to evaluate the issue. The crew showed up and they confirmed the sleeve had slipped off the main sewer line and just needed reattached. The sleeve was 25 years old and needed replaced, so they ran to Depot (30 minute round trip), returned and slipped the new sleeve on in less than 30 seconds. Literally, less than a minute to reinstall and tighten two clamps. I told the guys that this fix was no where worth $200 and they both smiled and agreed. Said to call the receptionist and tell them it was less then 1 hour total and an easy fix. I called the receptionist and she said the price is $200 regardless of the time or fix (unless it was a more extensive issue). She said that was the minimum amount. I looked at the estimate 3 times and nowhere does it say that the estimate is for a trip charge or per hour or to diagnose the issue or a minimum charge. I support my contractors, but really, $200 for a 35 min job, most of which was driving to depot and back? I paid the invoice in full because I am honest and believe that what comes around goes around. I got burned on this one and learned an important lesson to clarify better what the expectations are. But, buyer beware! Make sure you clarify the terms and expectations of the "Estimate" before agreeing. There were far cheaper options available. I will use a different contractor in the future for my plumbing needs and I caution you to reconsider if you are considering using Sewer Experts, or in the very least, understand expectations! BTW, the repair guys were great, even though this was a walk in the park. read more

We had a water leak at the main water valve near the sidewalk. it started leaking when the water was turned on for the sprinkler system. Commerce City in Reunion has a separate non-potable water system for the sprinkler system. I called on a Friday around 3:30pm. They stopped by within a half hour. Gave me a quote and had it fixed by Saturday afeternoon. The service was excellent with quality work performed in a very short time. Pricing was reasonable considering they had to dig about 4 feet down for the repair. I'm very happy with Denver Sewer Experts and would definitely call them again. Our property management company hired these guys because our shower was backed up. They determined it was roots growing through the main out of the building and that that pipe was broken. They said they roto rooted it in the meantime, but our shower was still backing up. They replaced the pipe yesterday and left our back security door wide open. I was waiting all day for them to call me to talk to me about scheduling to clear the shower drain and didn't receive a call until after 5p. At this time I scheduled and let the main contact for their company, Marisa, know that the door was left wide open after her crew left and she argued with me about how the job was outside and so she's unsure how they left the door open. I let her know that my neighbor and I never leave the security door wide open and that it was open all day yesterday while they were doing work on our property. Also that today I saw that they had plugged a cord for some tool into our laundry room electrical outlet. She said she didn't know this because her guys usually bring a generator. She pretty much was unapologetic and was arguing with me at every turn about how this shouldn't have been something that was their fault until I gave her more and more info. Clearly they are supposed to supply their own power on jobs but instead that cost fell to my landlord since they plugged into our electric. I got home tonight and the back security door was wide open AGAIN and I texted Marisa to let her know. She argued with me that her guy came and took photos of the job and left and that they thought my neighbor was there so they didn't shut the door. i let her know the door should be left the way it was found- closed- whether my neighbor or I am home and that I had closed it last night and it was again left open by her crew. She told me a few more times about how her guy drove by and took pics and then said she did too and said she and her crew don't know how people live on their properties as an excuse for why the door was left open. I am not really sure why she argued with me at every turn about every single thing and I would have been satisfied if she just let me know she would talk to her crew about it and that it wouldn't happen again. Instead she argued more with me and then told me she canceled her company's appointment to come tomorrow to clear the shower drain and that any further concerns I have could be addressed to my property manager only. I sincerely hope my property management company doesn't use this vendor ever again in the future. I work in property management as well and was informing her of the door being left open (both days her crew was here) so she could talk to the crew to remind them to be more mindful but instead was just met with retorts every time and then she childishly canceled the service for tomorrow. I don't think it is unreasonable to inform a company about how their crew left a property unsecured when they left for the day, especially when it happens two times in a row. I also had let my property manager know that a part of the door frame was bent so that the guys could fix it before they left. He said to mention it to Marisa when she called me. I did and she argued with me about that saying her lead guy didn't see that and that she's not sure what I'm talking about. I can understand that everyone is human and makes mistakes and that crew members need to be talked to to remind them of things every once in awhile, but I don't understand how a company can take NO responsibility for any of their mistakes and blame everything on the customer or just shirk responsibility by saying they don't know 'what other people do on their properties.' Really poor form. I hope that they can do better for others they service in the future and that no one else has this type of experience. read more

BEWARE of this business. This review is in response to a waterline replacement by Sewer Experts in May. Thus far we are $2000.00 into replacement of our irrigation system that had extensive damage as a result of the water line replacement that then caused the water line to leak inside the basement once again. It was determined by the irrigation replacement company that the damage was a result of a reckless approach to the waterline repair, landscape and sidewalks. This will cost at least another thousand plus. This is not what a $7000.00 job should have cost us in time and money. It was not executed by professionals. We should have been consulted as to what it would take to tackle this job that turned out to be more than they were prepared to do properly. Their bid was not the best but wanted to support a woman owned business. Marisa was helpful to getting the project going but when the job was "finished" and we let her know the extent of damages to our property, she reverted to "it's in the contract we don't take responsibility for any damages". I would NEVER recommend this business. Look elsewhere for a company that cares about how a job was done, not just getting the contract. There was no attempt to follow up other than "it's not our problem" or even take a look at the damages such that they may be avoided for others in the future. BEWARE! They told me I had to sign a $12 K emergency mitigation contract now to do emergency mitigation. It could run $56k if all rusted out. My review is as a prospective customer who, with Marisa's guidance, did not work with Sewer Experts. I called Sewer Experts/Marisa before extensive concrete work that will cover my sewer and water inlet lines. She uses a third-party scope company and arranged for them to look at the sewer. It checked ok, her report suggested nothing urgent to fix, just a regular root clean out and it should be fine. She provided bids for two options if & when I would do the sewer line. On the water line, she helped me determine it is the safe copper line, not lead, so it too should be fine and no work needed. In total, I spent probably 45 min to an hour on the phone with Marisa, which she graciously offered at no cost, no business gained from it. Sewer Experts replaced the sewer line under my basement floor. Overall they did a very good job with the work. They showed up on time, did work as promised, and in the timeframe we discussed. We did have a bit of miscommunication with the scope of work (just as much my fault as theirs) and when we talked through it we came to a good place... they added the scope no problem!
