I love going to Sew Much Fun! The staff has always been helpful, even if I had to wait my turn. The atmosphere is joyful and light. The selction of fabrics? Phenomenal. It is laid out so you can look by colors, subjects and a whole "on sale" room and class room. I have not ventured into the side of the store with all kinds of sewing machines but it has quite a few choices to choose from. I have to drive 1:15 hours to get there and well worth the trip!!! read more

There are fabric stores that are closer to me but none better than Sew Much Fun. I always leave lots of time when I go, so I can ogle all the fabric, and get lots of ideas. The people are very helpful, I can get my Berninas serviced there by my favorite technician, Marcia, get embroidery instructions by Susan, and I love showing my projects to everyone including Drucilla, the owner. The shop is simply visual overload with all the fabrics, patterns, accessories. and of course Berninas. Go there - you will not be sorry!! read more

Another successful visit to this beautiful store during my tIme in North Carolina. I was looking on getting a backing for a quilt top. One of the ladies offered to help this newbie. She was knowledgeable and knew immediately what would work best with my fabrics and colors. After getting my backing fabric, I did some browsing throughout the store. There are so many beautiful projects on display. Plus, there is a line of Bernina sewing machines available for purchase. This shop is a pleasure to visit and definitely recommended for any quilter. The staff is so friendly and available to help anyway they can. They take time answering questions and giving suggestions. read more

I have never walked into a local business and treated as rudely as I was when I walked in to Sew Much Fun. I took some pants that I needed fabric for and first thing out of the clerk's mouth was "I believe you're in the wrong place, we don't do alterations." I told her I didn't need alterations. The guest she was checking out inserted herself and asked what I needed. As the clerk was finishing checking out the guest in front of me as I patiently waited, the other lady working got off the phone, walked up to the counter and asked what I needed. I explained my need and was told I wouldn't find what I was looking for there. I simply needed some fabric to add belt loops to my pants. The other clerk was listening at this point and took me over to some different fabrics. I don't remember who, but a mention of Hobby Lobby was thrown out to me. I found a few pieces of fabric that would have worked and was told the minimum they would have to cut was a yard. It was insinuated the fabric was going to be too expensive and I wouldn't be able to afford their product. I politely said I would run down to Hobby Lobby and see if I could find a piece of fabric that matched a pair of pants that could pull brown or gray, I was told it pulled purple too. (Huh?). When I said I would run to Hobby Lobby a comment I don't believe was intended for me to hear was "it's No skin off my nose if you go to Hobby Lobby". I was certainly wanting to give my money to a local business, that I assure you I could have afforded their product. But after that terrible interaction, I won't step foot in their business again. Ran into Hobby Lobby, extremely helpful staff once I explained what I needed , found the fabric I needed and walked out at less than $20. read more

I love this place. I called this it, my divorce store because all of her fabrics are put together and coordinated and it's so easy to pick stuff out. I just love it. I don't know how anyone could go in there and not like it. Everyone is friendly. So give it a try. she has a ton of classes. she sells Bernina sewing machines and quilting machines. This is a great sewing store that carries Bernina machines and has a wonderful staff! Jan has always been helpful and I loved working with Debra and Alma in the past. The store's owner is the only weakness there...she does not have the people skills neccessary to keep her customers happy. I know that many of the people in my circle, myself included, will not visit the store if she is there. Once again, check this place out! It's got everything you'll need under one roof and is much better than what you would find at the once-great Mary-Jo's. read more
