Had a wedding function here, very disappointed with the food, main course to be more accurate. 2…read moreoptions available fillet or salmon, at our table 5 meals were untouched, steak so tough it was hard to cut, lots of fat on it, salmon very dry, brother-in law- and my mother both left there, my and my sister and 1 other left the steak, no replacement meals offered. plus veges came out 10 minutes after the meat/salmon, and were cold. not one person ate any of it all got sent back with waitress saying she would inform the chef - ?? nice function rooms, but had 2 hours to kill from wedding to reception, coldest day for ages, no heating on where wedding was held, then had to find somewhere else to sit until the reception started. could do a whole lot better.

We'd been looking forward to this for a while and the decor didn't disappoint. The restaurant…read moreitself was homey and elegant (without being pretentious). The food was fairly tasty but the one big let down was the portion size of the mains. We ordered two different types of pasta and the portion sizes were what would pass as entrees in most Italian restaurants. Also the crab tagliatelle that we ordered was supposed to have chilli in it but there was no chilli obvious to the tastebuds nor the eye. One main concern was that they asked if we had the entertainment card during booking. Perhaps this was the reason for the small serving size? Do yourselves a favour and if you're asked the same question, say no (just in case). The dessert platter is a good one to try because for $22, it's a good way for 2 people to try a variety of desserts, although we couldn't get a spoon or fork through the meringue. Service was friendly and helpful at least! They also have an extensive wine list.

5/5 stars 18/12/2011…read more There must be something special about his pizza - because boy, this chef sure likes to have fun! He asked me what my major in University was (which was Psychology), and he jokingly replied, "So you've come to analyse me!" He made me smile with that one. And I noticed he jokes around with every customer and co-worker! But seriously, do they know how to make pizzas properly! (Awww...man this dough and meat is fresh and soft, not like the try-hard local stores who end up making it hard to eat!) If you're looking for a delicious and authentic Italian-made pizza with fresh dough and toppings that should be expected in Italian pizza, than you can take Salvatore's Slice of Italy's name, which is a genuine original Italian name, and turn it into "The Freshest and Softest Pizza in Adelaide" - especially after you wash a slice or two down with a couple of cans of soft drinks! The chef was so friendly, when I asked what the gorgeous photos on his wall came from, he told me stories of his trips overseas back home to the beautiful pristine islands of Italy, and all his cousins. He said his uncles from Italy were the ones who taught him how to make pizzas for life. I love immigrants who never forget where they came from, or apply what they learnt in their younger years to run a successful business or job for the rest of their life. Look for the colourful Italian flag colours of green, white and red at the front to guide your way. Anyway - just find this place. You will not be disappointed...There's even some other fascinating shops right next door!

Had such high hopes, but the pizza was somewhat bland; really unfortunate because it came so well…read morerecommended and we were hanging out for a good feed! I guess the ingredients were not that fresh because it is really hard to make a pizza bland! Will try again just in case it was bad timing!

In 1995, I watched, enthralled, as Sandra Bullock used her computer to order pizza on The Net in…read morethe movie of the same name without even having to talk to anyone. Fast forward almost 20 years later (OMG!) and I'm doing the exact same thing. Okay, it's not via the PizzaNet website (I use EatNow), I'm not running Windows 3.1 and my iPad is considerably sleeker than Sandra's 15" CRT monitor, chunky CPU and dial up modem but the end result - pizza - is the same. My local purveyor is the Redwood Park Pizzeria. I've ordered online for pick-up four or five times, cash on arrival and there has never been an issue. The pizzas are well priced, with plenty of quality toppings. We usually go the Redwood Special and request no mushrooms or anchovies in the comments box. Not once has our pizza been befouled by dirty shrooms or stinky fish. However, the pastas, which we have only ordered once, have a lot of melted cheese throughout which was not popular with our guests and made for a lot of inedible leftovers. If I order pastas again, I will request they be cheeseless. Anyway, got to get off the Internet, Mum wants to use the phone and I have to change my ICQ status.

Tasty, well priced pizza that is not greasy and made with care. We order from here frequently,…read moreusually via phone though last time I tried EatNow. The pizza is always well cooked and has a good balance of toppings - being a non pineapple/mushroom/anchovy eater I often have to make substitutions and the pizza always comes as ordered.
