I was just really curious on what happens. It wound up taking ~4 hours where I got my hair washed, cut, primed, bathed in solvent, and then curled with the little rollers. I definitely felt cared for, but 4 hours is def a long time. I brought a book and phone charger in case I was bored. The salon inside, however, is extremely cold. I think it was like 62 degrees inside, and I got my perm done in the summer when it was hot (and I still felt that it was freezing). There's a bunch of stylists inside and people who help prepare the clients. For a digital perm, it was ~$200, and if you pay with cash, you can avoid the 3% credit card fee. They also do a traditional booking system where you call them and you get written down for an appointment on a paper book. Overall, I loved how my hair turned out. It was very luscious and soft, but I wish when I made the appointment, maybe there could have been guidelines of what not to do leading up to the appointment, same with post hair care especially for new timers. I wound up using a notes app of how to care for it. I wish I had more curls in my hair, but now I know for next time and how to ask for it to be styled. Great experience generally! This place is located inside of a busy plaza with lots to do, so if you're ever waiting on someone here, you can go to Teso or get boba/food/coffee -- any type of idle shopping!

Having been locked down for a year I was in desperate need of some style and Breauna did just that…read more A cut, highlights and style was affordable and worth every penny. I was relieved that everyone was conscientious about wearing masks properly so that we can end this Covid nightmare as soon as possible. The salon has a small town feel but is a definitely bustling business. Once again Yelp and my fellow reviewers steered me to the best service provider on my journey.

I have been going to this salon for almost a year now and I'm glad to have found my stylist Paige…read moreGrindle! She is very attentive to what I want and she always follows through. Her coloring is unbelievable. I am naturally brunette but she is able to convince otherwise with the highlights she gives. I don't have to go back for color very often because she is able to blend my root for a favorable grow-out. She is able to achieve the right blonde tone that I look for even when I switch it up. I always walk out of the salon feeling better than when I came in. The thorough shampooing/conditioning with a massage that she gives makes it even better! Paige also did my hair for my wedding and it was beautiful. I received a lot of compliments and my updo lasted the entire night. She met me at our bridal suite and spent the morning getting bridesmaids and myself ready. She is very professional and did not let me lift a finger on my big day. She helped to make the day even more special. The salon has great atmosphere where clients are able to relax and are treated kindly. Scheduling is convenient with last minute appointments or appointments scheduled in advance. Paige is really sweet and fun to talk to! She always offers me coffee or water while I'm in the salon and asks if I'm comfortable or she adjusts in order to relieve me. Getting my hair done with Paige is now an experience I look forward to each time!

I purchased a Groupon to try a local salon. Tame has pretty good reviews on Facebook, Google, and…read moreYelp, so I thought I'd give it a try. I've never had my hair professionally colored, nor have I been to an American based salon before. Groupon: My groupon consisted of color and cut. When I entered the store, the girl who was going to be working on my hair informed me that if I wanted a balayage that it would cost $30 extra, and for the length of my hair, another $20 (on Groupon they constantly advertise balayage, but there is no mention of the extra costs there). My friend who bought the same groupon said she was not charged extra, which is why I decided to give it a try, but low and behold. You know what, that's fine, I've already bought the groupon and was already sitting down. Experience: I asked for a trim of my long hair and a balayage. Trim: I asked for a basic trim, or about 1 inch off. I assume, easy enough. I'm not asking for something really bizarre? She literally only cuts the TOP portion of my hair and straight cut the rest. It's extremely choppy, jagged, and straight up looks like I asked my 10 year old cousin to do it for me. I didn't even realize it was this bad until I saw it today, which is why I decided to write a review. You might ask, why didn't I notice this in the salon or before? You sit facing AWAY from any mirrors at the salon, which is strange to begin with. I hated the haircut from the beginning and thought it was really bad, but I didn't know how bad it was until my mom pointed it out recently. See below for pictures. Balayage: not great, not terrible. I barely see the new color, but it's very similar to what I previously had. During the time the girl was dying my hair, she asked the owner many questions as to how to correctly balayage, what's the correct technique, how to put foil on, etc. she did not seem like she completely knew what she was doing and this should've been my sign. Sadly, my hair was curled at the end so even when looking in the mirror, it was hard to tell there was any issues. This entire experience makes me wary to try any new places again. Especially anything off of groupon.
