My daughter's bite is really bad so she breaks brackets often. They have been professjonal about repairing them and not making her feel like she's causing them extra work. They are quick! Dont expect to settle in to catch up on magazine reading! They will have you and your child in and out and ba k to school in no time! I also really appreciate that fhey have advil there for the kiddos if they need it. The assistants in the office are very kind, welcoming, and eager to help. They listened carefully to my concerns and even remembered my name after just one visit. Their professionalism and kindness did not go unnoticed. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Barnett was the complete opposite. I initially went in for a removable bottom retainer after my permanent one (which I had for over 25 years) fell off. The assistant created a removable retainer using a scanner, but it never fit properly. I had to return at least three times for adjustments. Each time it was modified, but it continued to fit incorrectly. The retainer was cutting my tongue and the inside of my cheeks and, even more concerning, it began causing my front teeth to shift apart -- creating a gap that I have never had before in my life. On my third visit, Dr. Barnett stated that he did not want me to pay for something that did not work and said he would offer Invisalign instead, comped due to the failed retainer. I made it very clear multiple times that I did not want to pay for another retainer since I had already paid for the first one. He assured me I would not be charged. His assistant was present during this conversation, and when I asked her to confirm what I heard, she stated that she understood the same -- that I would not be charged for Invisalign because the original retainer had failed. At my next appointment, Dr. Barnett attempted to modify the retainer again, further cutting and shaving it down to the point that it had completely lost its integrity. When I calmly mentioned our previous conversation about not being charged for Invisalign, he became visibly upset, stood up, and walked out of the room without saying a word. When he returned, I asked him why he seemed upset. He responded that "everyone expects to get this free." I apologized and assured him I was not trying to offend him -- I was simply referencing what he had previously told me. I chose not to involve his assistant in that moment because I did not want to put her in an uncomfortable position. I left that appointment feeling extremely uncomfortable and never returned. I ultimately had to seek care from another orthodontist and spend $1,000 to correct the gap that developed after wearing the retainer made in his office. Additionally, despite seeing me multiple times, Dr. Barnett never remembered my name and often addressed me incorrectly. While that alone is minor, combined with the overall experience, it reflected a lack of attentiveness and professionalism. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this orthodontist due to concerns regarding communication, professionalism, and integrity.

The first visit was very comprehensive and various treatment options and payment plans were presented. I was grateful that my dental insurance would cover most of the cost. I decided to get the clear Angel aligners. I was awed and a bit overwhelmed by the equipment in the office and the ability to take a few pictures and have aligners made for the year. The front office staff, the patient care coordinator, and the certified dental assistants are GREAT. You can have the best dental work but, staff makes the difference. Always encouraging and happy. And, every staff member has beautiful teeth. That, to me, was a good sign. -- Doc Ak and staff try to make the orthodontist visits a little fun by having monthly contests, raffles, and quizzes. While these activities are probably geared more toward younger patients, I must admit, I did participate in some of them. Prizes are awarded to the monthly winners and are announced in the informative monthly newsletter. Most of the activity with the aligners took place at home. I would take weekly pictures of the aligners in and out of my mouth using the Grin app and then progress to the next aligner after SmileOn review. I didn't think I would get through a years' worth of weekly aligner changes but, here I am, almost at the end of my treatment. Next step - whitening. I AM SO GLAD I MADE THE DECISION TO HAVE MY TEETH STRAIGTENED. I can't imagine a better orthodontist or practice than SmileOn. You deserve a terrific smile.

Very child friendly- of all ages! And the staff are top notch professionals. Going to the dentist is stressful- going to orthodontist even more so. They do everything they can to make the patient (and the parents) feel at ease and to have fun. Like most practices, everything seemed to be efficient and professional when we came for our initial consultation. However, the last visit resulted in a forty minute wait, which is unacceptable (at least to me). We currently have two children undergoing orthodontic treatment, so the amount of money being paid to CTO by us means if you're going to make me wait forty minutes past both of my children's appointment times, then you need to do a thorough examination of my kid's braces. Obviously that wasn't done because no more than an hour after leaving their office, my son's bracket fell off (eating rice). Of course, they were closed and not answering phones. Now we're sitting outside of their office waiting for them to open at 8:40, in spite of the fact that their advertised office hours are 7-12 on Fridays. I'm sure the annoyance is palpable in this review. Don't have your paying patients waiting excessive times because you're desperate to get more paying patients (a tech said the wait was due to walk-ins/new patients who bump scheduled patients). If you must make them wait, make up for it by properly checking the patient's appliances thoroughly so we don't have to come to get them fixed, only to wait for you to open whenever you get around to it.

Big surprise, her mind line was off and they left an overbite. Their solution was to put her back into braces to correct their mistake. I don't know about y'all, but tell a teenager she's going to have to pay for someone else's mistakes and watch the emotional breakdown. Had another child at the office. Back in June will took him for a second opinion. They were shocked teeth weren't pulled nor was he equipped with a piece of hardware he needed for expanding the teeth. We pulled him as a patient and he is currently getting the treatment he needs and requires. I could not recommend this place less.
