this place is terrifying and unsanitary. I went for a wax and they put all of the wax sticks back into the wax pot. meaning that everyone who has ever gotten waxed is cross contaminated and put in danger. It got to a point that I was so uncomfortable that I needed to end the service and they pinned me down on the table to continue the service until I shouted no read more

3-stars is fair. I was hoping Seven would be my new go to nail salon as it's a quick walk away but I'll have to continue the search. The owner is friendly but the work here feels rushed and shortcut. The real turnoff was my last visit when the nail tech went to get a hot towel to wipe my hands. I saw her take the used nail tools that she'd just finished prepping my nails with, wipe them with the hot towel then bring over that same hot towel to wipe my hands with. When I asked that she use a different (clean) towel, she at first tried to just use a paper towel instead but after I explained that I saw her use it to clean the nail kit, she got a new one. Its just a haphazard attitude. For a rushed $40 nail set that lasts at best 10 days at least don't cut corners let alone sanitary corners. read more

I was there to get a gel manicure cure their prices have gone up compared to other nice locations that do the same type of work. In addition, the owner needs to be mindful with his tone wen speaking with customers. read more

Mani and pedi for $45. During my pedicure they set the massage chair and they did their magic. I'm not sure re: the bad reviews since I had a lovely time. They were incredibly kind, and even helped me pick out a color to match the dress I was wearing to a wedding. They are professional, and I heard other women giving feedback about what they wanted, which the nail techs seemed incredibly gracious about it They do acrylic and gel, and the location is incredibly convenient. I'm definitely coming back. read more

Seven Colors Nail - Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

The worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon! The image is what my nails looked like after soaking in acetone for 30 minutes. I spoke to a man who worked there and explained that the acetone was not working and maybe they could buff some of the color off. In response he threw a nail file at me and told me to do it myself. For background, I came here 1 week prior with powder nails. Rather than soaking off the powder as I asked, they insisted on just painting over the powder with gel polish, which resulted in the nails have a weird unnatural shape. When I spoke to the manager, she frankly didn't care and did nothing to rectify the situation. Also, they wanted to charge $8 to soak of the powder/gel . I left feeling disrespected and humiliated. read more

Well, don't expect mimosas in champaign glasses or the smooth sounds of neo-soul making you do a cool head bop. Don't even expect great conversations from the techs about travel tips or neighborhood events. What you can expect is quick service, directions to the store next door for sorted beverages and classic tunes on CD 101. It's clean, most of the techs know what their doing and they are courteous to the customers...if you can manage to make out what their saying!! I mostly come here for eyebrow waxing by the owner, Dori. The other ladies, are not allowed to come near my beloved brows. I've been coming here on and off for years for my nails but consistently for my brows. There's no double dipping for the wax. The nail equipment is packaged in the steri packs, opened right in front of you. There's nothing fancy here, but you can get good service in a clean environment. Prices are a tad more but to be expected in this particular neighborhood. read more

Not worth it. Doesn't look professionally done. I could've given myself a Mani Pedi at home and it would've looked the same. Save yourself $55 read more

Let's add on to why I HATE THIS PLACE! Done working out. Pressed for time. Needed a mani/pedi. Seven Color Nail is right next door to my gym and I saw it advertised in the window that they do UV gel mani's and for $10 less than Polish Bar. (Polish, please forgive me for my indiscretion). On this day, I was given what is probably the lousiest UV gel mani on Earth! 1)The manicurist soaked my nails in what looked and smelled like regular strength nail polish remover, instead of doing a 10 minute UV gel removal wrap like Polish Bar does. Next, he scraped my old polish off-I mean literally digging and scraping away at my polish as if my fingernails were made of stone and it took forever! 2)The polish was thick and lumpy 3)The purpose of UV gel is a mani that is quick-drying and long-lasting. My nails were still sticky after 3 runs through the UV dryer. Why? 4)End result was a very sloppy looking manicure that's starting to look worn and it's only been a day. Promise to stop subjecting myself to this mistreatment and using time as an excuse. read more

Kind and generous staff and super affordable prices!! My friends and I walked in on a Sunday afternoon were attended to almost immediately. We are often concerned about encountering some racism & transphobia at salons, but Seven Color Nail's staff was nothing but welcoming. They even offered my friend who wasn't getting their nails done a free massage! I got powder dipped nails and my friend got tips. The staff took their time and clearly cared about giving us what we wanted. While their communication about a few small things was a little confusing, I believe it was just a language barrier and their intentions were always professional and kind. Highly recommend - I'll definitely be going back :) read more

I have been here twice now to get a manicure during short lunch breaks. Each time, I have been the only customer in the store and have told them that I only had thirty minutes. Both times the technician worked quickly (but not carelessly) and had me finished and dried in exactly thirty, as I had asked. As others have said, this place is no frills but it is a quick, solid painting job and relatively inexpensive ($10 for manicure). Once, I splurged and had a 10 minute chair massage and this was also really great for $10. I have always left happy. read more

This place is a last resort - rough touch, unwelcoming, and never thorough. If you ask to make an adjustment for your desired length, they fight you on it. Convenient location though. read more

This is definitely a no frills nail salon. The look of the salon is not calming but more so efficient. You will not get any champagne during your service or mood music... etc. What you will get is a pretty good gel manicure for $25 instead of the $30-40 at nicer places. My nail tech was very thorough and made sure not make the manicure look thick. I was happy with the service recieved and will most likely go back. read more

The staff is horrible- they rushed to paint my nails and toes and when it was all done I wasn't happy at all!!!! Mind you, I took my daughter, son and husband there to get their nails done too! DO NOT GO TO THIS NAIL SHOP. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I called at 7:30PM to ask if I could come in for a fill-in, 2 extension repairs and a gel manicure in which Steven (the owner) replied yes. When I got there he complained about how tired he was. He failed to shape the two repaired nails like my other nails and got very frustrated when I pointed it out to him. As a fix, I asked if I could file the nails and he threw the nail file at me and said I couldn't be pleased. He was sooooo upset that he refused to polish my nails. He was very rude and refused to complete my service. Mind you I have gone here a few times but I will never step foot in this salon again. They rush to do your nails and you will not have a good experience. I've seen them dismiss customer request a few other times I attended there. You will not be pleased. The level of customer service is disgusting. read more

I LOVE this place for their chair massages!!! Super reasonable prices, clean, and best of all quiet + private - it's done in a separate room rather than just in the middle of the salon like most places, so you can actually relax! As someone with chronic neck/upper back pain, quick chair massages (10-20 mins for me, though they do offer it for longer) are super helpful in managing discomfort, so I get them at least 1-2x a month, but even that adds up, so finding an affordable yet high-quality place was huge for me. I've been going regularly for over a year now (I might've been a few times before the pandemic, but not consistently) and they've always adhered to every COVID restriction/precaution, so I've been able to go in feeling safe. I can't speak for any of their other services as I don't get my nails done, but every single person who works there is super nice and definitely knows what they're doing! read more

Seven Color Nail does the job when you are in need for a no frills mani-pedi. I came in at about noon on a Saturday and was able to get in after about a ten minute wait (there are only three or four pedicure chairs and maybe six manicure stations - there were three people working when I came in on Saturday). A mani-pedi ran me $35. If this exact place was on the other end of the park on Flatbush, it would probably be $25-30. The prices are a teensy bit higher than I would expect for a "not fancy"place, but the prices are fair for the neighborhood, I suppose. The quality and vibe here are way better than a place like Bling Bling nails in Crown Heights (which is hectic and not as professional, but only $20). I also opted for the 10 minute foot massage for 10 bucks. If I had to do it again, I would also get the ten minute neck massage because the ten seconds she gave me for free was really nice. I would come back here if I wanted to bring a friend for a cheap but quality mani/pedi without taking them to my usual creepy cheap spots. Update: I wrote this about twelve hours after my mani/pedi. It's been one full day now and three of my fingers are chipped and two toes. I know manicures chip in a week but one day? My pedis usually last at last a week or two, so twenty four hours is disappointing. Taking down a star. read more

I had a great experience at this nail salon. I asked for a mani and pedi was seated in their back room where the nail artist immediately turned on the massage chair and made me relax. He was very gentle and took his time and did a great job with my pedi. The one issue I had with my gel manicure was that he did not bring the plush as close down to my cuticles as I wanted. My nails grow super quickly so my gel polish always looks grown out after a week. Overall I loved the service here and found the place to be very clean and well maintained. read more

I found this place on help, and called ahead to see if they had color acrylic- they did, so I went. The tended to me really quick, the man (I wish I got his name) took care of my nails, took his time but didn't take forever and they look great. Price was reasonable, we had a good convo. They also offer SNS dipping powder which I plan on using next time. Definitely a hidden old school gem in the new up and coming Flatbush ave area. I think I found a new nail place! read more

Seven Colors Nail - Acrylic coffin shape - Nail Salons Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

My favorite nail salon in the neighborhood. It recently came under new ownership and as a result the services and staff have changed a bit, and for the better. I have always found the staff to be very friendly and attentive. Overall, the experience is relaxing. The salon does get busy at times, so the key is to try to go earlier in the day. I find the afternoon gets busy (naturally) and there can be slightly longer wait-times as a result. But the service is always excellent. I love the gel manicures. The color lasts for weeks without chipping! On days when you have a few extra minutes, try the 20-minute chair massage while you get a manicure. It is so relaxing. read more

If I could give no stars I would. After reading the reviews i decided to give it a try for a pedicure. Not a good experience at all. The woman who did my pedicure never asked what type I wanted. She rushed through it like she really didn't want to do it in the first place. Half way through i asked for callous treatment, she looked at me like it was a bother. Apparently it was too late, again she never asked. Most places attempt to load the services or at least give options. Not this woman. After painting my nails I noticed they were half done, meaning only half the nail was painted on some of my toes...lol. I told her and she fixed it, but again it felt like I was bothering her. Luckily it was only $23, but honestly I could have done it myself! Never again. I do not recommend this place. I feel like if u are going to a nail salon u want great service. That's what you're paying for, apparently not here. read more

I was visiting New York from Germany and i. desperate need for a shellac manicure so I just walked in that place. The staff was kind of nice but unfortunately the lady who did my manicure rushed through it. After I left I realized that there was nail polish all over my cuticles, it actually looks nicer when I do it. To be fair I didn't go back to tell them because I didn't have time. But this sloppy manicure is definitely not worth 30 Dollars, seems very overpriced. read more

CHRISTINA IS THE BOMB!!! I love this place, I'm visiting the neighborhood for a night and only have the opportunity to check out a good breakfast place and somewhere to squeeze in a mani/pedi. I look around me using the yelp app (monocle) and zero in on this cute place that just barely opened up as I walked in. Christina's just chillin, tidying things up. I really like the space, long hallway and the massage chairs aren't ghetto fab with duct tape, and everything matches like the owner put some serious dough down to renovate and get a cohesive decor going on. I decide I like this place enough to double up my quick mani fix into a mani-pedi. For some reason unknown to Man, I am wearing wool socks and leather boots on an 80 degree weather day. Christina helps me into these 2 dollar flipflops and I pick my colors which she applies expertly and meticulously. You know how when you mess up the nail before it dries and you feel bad for asking for a touch up? It happened to me TWICE and both times Christina was sweet and obliging, no swearing in foreign languages whatsoever! I really like this spot and since I can't make this my go-to nail salon, I hope other people come here and give it good business. \ read more

I left smiling. Ann did a fantastic job and is quite funny. She's engaging, fast and really good. Instruments and the tub were clean. The chairs were comfy. My manicure was $8 and the manicurist did a really great job. Pros: - Manicure was great, the manicurist really was conscientious of cutting my hang nails and cuticles. Cons: - The shop is ugly... florescent lighting, almost bare walls, looks clean but dingy at the same time. Regardless, a good manicure is a good manicure so I would go back. read more

This place is terrible. Don't let the price convince you to come here. They made me wait while they serviced other people with their manicures and pedicures. My manicure didn't even last a week and the nails were cut and filed unevenly. The waxing left my skin red for 2 days. My skin was completely sore and tender. Worst ever. read more

This place is okay. No frills, mani-pedi for $24. I waited around 15 - 20 minutes (was told it would be a 5 min wait or I would've left) and it started chipping the next day. This place recently got renovated and have all new massaging pedicure chairs. They have also redone their floor and the place looks great. It still has a no frills approach but their manicures and eyebrow waxing are great. Prices have increased a touch ($9 for a mani, $7 for eyebrows) but at those prices who can complain! Manis last for about a week, although I have also had the $25 quasi gel manis that last for about 2.5 wks. Note for those who are a bit put out by the fact that they don't use disposable manicure tools, note that their tools are put into a sterilization box that uses UV light to kill germs. Its the box that looks like a mini fridge against the wall. read more

After a bad first experience with this nail salon last year, I started going to another one. Sadly, the people at that salon treated me horribly so I found myself making my way back to Seven Nails. It's been my "go to" nail salon since November of last year. The Spa Pedicure is great and they have a good selection of OPI Colors. I now visit every two weeks and haven't had a bad experience since the first one last August. Maybe the employee was having a bad day back then. I always get my nails done by the male owner and he knows exactly how I like them. All the girls are pretty friendly and the place stays busy. The prices are affordable and and the work is good! No frills but good work, in my opinion. Be warned: There is a dollar charge for using a Credit Card. read more

Wow! After moving from Long Island to Brooklyn, And trying a few local park slope spots, I never thought I'd be able to find the quality I was used to at the price I was used to. Thankfully I stumbled across this gem on Yelp. Steven did my nails today, and to be honest they weren't in good shape when I arrived. He did a fantastic acrylic fill with gel polish and now my hands are so happy!! This spot does not have the frills so if you're looking for that move on. If what you are looking for is quality service at an affordable price, this is for you. $19 for an acrylic fill (painted on, none of that dip, and flick garbage) and $12 extra for the gel polish. Win! I will definitely be back. read more
