Ate here twice in the last 5 weeks. Prime rib was delish the first night - got a tender cut the first plate and it was magnificent. Second time I came I got an iced coffee and had the cherries jubilee for dessert with white cake it was very good. I tried the Lebanese spicy potatoes and not too spicy had a platter of meat didn't get to the pork tenderloin however- I try not to waste food but they don't penalize you for that at this buffet which is quite generous of them! I had some chicken thigh and legs garlic style whole chicken & some beef sirloin too. I brought a couple of friends along hopefully they enjoyed it too! Seven Chefs Buffet at the Jack casino is excellent for the price. It includes soda and ice tea. The seating is comfortable and nicely spaced. The servers are friendly and attentive. The buffet is set up well too. The salad bar has fresh veggies. There is a wide assortment of desserts to satisfy any sweet tooth. They also have sugar free blueberry pie. The meat and fish are delicious. There are plenty of sides that satisfy. It's set up with a Asian section and an American section and an Italian section plus a carving station. Seven Chefs Buffet is pretty decent. The food was prepared fresh and they had a nice selection within each station; Italian, Salad bar, Asian, American, Soups and Sweets! The lunch was pretty good. I tried the baked whitefish, tossed salad, stuffed shell, charbroiled burger and stir fry broccolini. Burgers freshly made in front of you. Shells had a good tomato sauce on them. They have a good variety but I was trying to go the healthy route today. They had mac n cheese, fried chicken, corn bread, Asian noodles, general Taos chicken, egg rolls, ice creams, cakes, cookies and a lot more! I have no complaints as their Wednesday lunch buffet is only $5.55 that includes a beverage! Service was streamlined and my server was very good at keeping refills up. Dining areas kept very clean too. PS. Thursday lunch is only $7.77!! Go early when they open 11:00am - line gets pretty long as the day progresses. read more

Who doesn't love a buffet! They have a great variety of item to choose from. I even got to try a couple things new. They have soup, salad, desserts, and cultural foods. I did not leave hungry. This is located in the Jacks Casino so no underage people are allowed. read more

I loved it. The staff was friendly and attentive and every single thing I tried was delicious.

The place was almost full after only being open a half hour. We ate free as perk of the casino. We were sitted just with a few minute wait.Had to ask the hostess to wipe down the table , could clearly see sticky spots on table. The booth table has a design flaw, if you aren't paying attention to your purse like my mom was it could been easily stolen big opening between us and traffic outside in the corridor. She kept it on a corner of table. The decor is dark and certainly dated. The food was adequate and I added pics with captions. Once again lucky we didn't have to pay for this. read more

Overall, not horrible, but $40 was a bit too high a price to pay for the quality and variety of food. There is a salad section, an American section, "featured" foods section, desserts, carving station and Asian. My favorite was the carving area. I loaded up on Turkey, cranberry and mashed potatoes. They all had good flavor. I was least impressed by the Asian section. It made me think of the mushy food you'd get from a frozen meal. Service was decent but not wonderful. You also can't get alcohol which kind of surprised me. I wouldn't rush back here for sure, but if you are looking for a quick meal with a big variety it suits the bill. read more

Terrible food! Raw chicken, All the suppose to be hot food was cold! or barley luke warm. Soup looked like it was sitting there for days. The rolls were 1/2 frozen. cakes were dry. Only thing edible was the Ice cream. The service was poor. the line was long and slow. we Listened to two servers complaining about not receiving tips and stating that most the customers got it for free so should at least leave 10 dollars. The used plates sat on our table the entire time. Asked twice for water and never got it. The Buffett area is dark and gloomy! No sense of direction, people walk right in front of you. It's definitely the worst casino buffet I've been to and I've been to shameful places (that I'm embarrassed to say that I've dined at) with awful food in the past. On our short stay in Cleveland, my wife and I visited JACK Cleveland Casino for a little gambling time after hours and decided to dine at the buffet, in the lobby, for convenience purposes. Actually, we cancelled our reservation at James Beard award winning Greenhouse Tavern to dine here and let me just say that might have been the worst decision of my life. I've made terrible life decisions in all of the years I've been alive, but that might top them all. My mind was telling me to not eat here after reading the atrocious reviews, but my gut was telling me how bad can it be? Oh, it can be bad ... real bad. First, the pricing. We came here on a Friday evening and it was approximately $25 per person because of the $5 increase for the specialty Friday and Saturday dinner menus. I'm afraid to know what's on the non-specialty menus. The buffet was actually pretty spacious, but about only 1/3 full. There were different ethnic sections of food lined up one after the other. To be honest, I don't think I need to go into the details of each and every thing I tried because they all fell into the same categories --- (1) Did not look delicious and (2) Downright tasted awful. Things were either bland or super salty. Worse off, we overheard a customer asking the head chef if anything had MSG, to which he replied that they cook EVERYTHING with MSG! Seriously? Just a recipe for clogged arteries. All of the food laid out just looked mediocre. In addition, the food was a mess at times. When food was close to running out or ran out, it was not refilled in a timely manner. Patrons left community scooping spoons in the food and employees did not bother to monitor the stations. Some foods were falling apart or looked like they had been sitting out in the open for so long that they were self-destructing. We were just glad we escaped with no further harm and our stomachs intact, but I can't imagine what the sanitary practices are like here, if there are any. The buffet really needs some oversight because the employees clearly aren't doing their jobs. On table after table, we saw dirty plates left there for long periods of time after customers had already finished their meals. Just overall, this buffet was terrible. There are no other words for it. I'm really trying to be "nice", but the food, the service and everything about this restaurant needs to be shutdown and made over pronto. read more

Save yourself and do not spend your money here. The selection of foods is small, and the flavour is mediocre. Most of their meats are drier than the Sahara desert, and it's either extremely salty or extremely unseasoned--there's no in between. If you really want to come and try this buffet, at least make it a dinner on a Wednesday so that all you'll pay is $7.77 for their "Jackpot Dinner" special. I came here for lunch and couldn't even stomach more than a plate of food. The salad was probably the best thing I ate because salads don't require any cooking. The staff are nice and courteous, but the food is just not acceptable at all. You'll notice that most of the dishes are off coloured mush because it was so overcooked that any natural colour or texture just doesn't exist any more. I'm convinced that this place is still in business simply because it's part of the casino so it's convenient to eat at without having to leave the building. read more

Ya'll I came to the buffet finally with my Cousin. Everytime that I visit cleveland, the buffet at the casino is the place to be they say! Now, I said that I wasn't visiting any buffets or eating cake that candles were blown out on once coronavirus hit, but clearly, I've broken that stance. Ya'll, it was good. I mean, as buffets go, you know? The Asian themed food was a little cold and I wanted to try everything else instead of getting it warm/hot. The Chef/Cook who prepared the prime rib, ought to have a raise. I don't know him, but it was tasty. And then I had the carver put it on the grill for a little searness of it all! Went for Sunday brunch. Beyond expectations. Long lines but moved fast. They serve you due to Covid. It was BUSY but the staff were helpful and friendly. I want to stress their friendliness cause it's a tough job. I had breakfast foods and have no complaints. The pancakes even had strawberries and whipped cream. Husband had a delicious salad bar and fried chicken. That chicken was moist and flavorful. The Mac n cheese - not so good. I have eaten here several times. All of my meals here have been comped by the casino. Since COVID hit I have not been going to the casino. Since May, Jack casino has been trying to lure me back with free buffet offers. So yesterday we decided to go down. While there we decided to check out the buffet. Normally the buffet is hit or miss. Again, I would never pay the full price to eat here but for free you are bound to find something you like and I usually do. Expecting a very limited selection given the current COVID limitations ,we got what we expected!!! However the food quality was horrible!!!! I don't know how they could serve this CRAP to patrons. Great place to stop in while at Jack's- they also comp part of your meal (I was a guest so I don't know how much)... everyone is super friendly and the food is always super fresh and tasty with a ton of different variety. Summary: Food was excellent, service was awful. We had been to the Seven Chefs buffet occasionally when it was called the Market District buffet. This was our second visit to this buffet under this newer name. We came on a Saturday night. Heads up: they charge $5 extra on Friday & Saturday nights. We have a low level casino card (we never use it) so our dinners came out to be $24.99 each. (Dinners are $19.99 Sunday thru Thursday) The food was very good, very flavorful. We had broccoli, shrimp & black bean sauce chicken from the Asian station, plus prime rib, steak, flank steak, crab cakes, baked salmon, mushroom risotto, fried chicken, macaroni & cheese, garlic bread and grilled veggies. Again, the food tasted great and was cooked to perfection. We arrived shortly after 8pm & they close at 9pm so I was impressed with the fresh selection of food even that late. However, unfortunately the service was horrible. We did not even see our server ONCE. We were brought to the table by the hostess & our receipt, which had our drink orders, was left on the table while we got our food. Our drinks were ready when we got back to the table but we never saw our waiter/waitress. No one came by to refill our drinks, ask how we were doing, offer extra napkins, take the dirty dishes away... nothing, no one, I'm not even exaggerating. I think the reason was we had tipped in advance. When we prepaid at the register, we decided to tack on the tip so we wouldn't have to leave cash on the table afterwards. We won't do that again! went here for the first time 2 weeks ago for the taco tuesday special and i always leave my tip on the table so i know my server is getting it and no one else, so after the lady up front checked me in initially and i didn't leave a tip she said "oh no tip" in a very sarcastic and demeaning tone. Are you serious? then i went up after my meal to get cash to tip my server and that same lady huffed and puffed and rolled her eyes as her boss broke a $20 bill for me as if i was inconveniencing them (while they had the cash out for the end of the night already). Needless to say i wont be back, i work in customer service and if this buffet wants repeat business they should start by firing that beast up front. read more

I was effusive in my praise for the quality, variety, and sanitary experience she was going to enjoy. Imagine my horror at the reality that has become "the Seven Chefs Buffet" circa 2022. This was my first time back since the pandemic shut down in 2020 when it was a venue serving a wonderful, eclectic selection of high quality foodstuffs. Scraps of food from each serving dish littered the area between them with no sense of urgency to clean it up. Half of the serving dishes were either empty or dried out from being under the heat lamps too long. Every month new records for income are being set, when are the patrons going to get their money's worth when dining at what can easily be described as "one notch" above pigsty. The chefs are understaffed, unmotivated, and probably unwilling to try and provide what management has turned a blind eye toward correcting. One might hear the response " well it's free, or reduced pricing" -- what does that have to do with the expectation of being served a decent meal? Shame on you Jack Casino Cleveland-- the city, the patrons, and all who visit your property deserve better. Clean up your act-- metaphorical ly and realistically. read more

They keep changing the name, so the bad reviews aren't that easily to be found. Food quality is below a Golden Coral at twice the cost. No more fish, shrimps, BBQ, Rhineland food, Greaters ice cream. Just cheap crap like dried out and cold glazed ham, overcooked turkey legs. We made a bad choice going here to celebrate my daughters birthday and I recommend that you stay away - go to a decent Chinese buffet or a Golden Coral and you will find better quality food. I love Jack's Cleveland casino. I enjoy going there. The buffett is great GLAD they brought the grill back. The staff to me thru out the casino is wonderful. Even the bathrooms are clean. We go to a lot of casino and the Seven Chefs Buffet is one of the poorest run casino food around. The tables are never cleaned, they run out of spoons and today they we out of napkins. How can a restaurant run out of a non-perishable item? Lack of experience? For the amount of money they charge - I expect clean tables, napkins and silverware not to mention a higher Quality of food. This was the first time I have been there since it changed names, and my wife and I can both say we were impressed. Seven Chefs is a buffet that is attached to Jack's Casino. The buffet has a lot to offer. The salad bar looked beautiful, fully stocked and everything was fresh. They have an Italian offering that had rigatoni, sausage, and peppers that was absolutely delicious, spaghetti, pizza, and a couple other items. They had fried chicken which was amazing. Their homemade Mac and Cheese was great. The offer usually two carving meats, on Tuesday they offered roast beef and roast turkey, both were perfectly cooked, juicy, and tender. There is also an Asian offering from sushi, to kimchee, to fried rice. The desert bar had everything you could want. Overall the food was really good, the offerings were super abundant, and the price was right, it was free! If you have a Jack card and depending on what level your card is you get dining weekly. If not the price is $19.99 and is cheaper than most buffets out there. Our waitress was great and kept the drinks flowing, and if you go it is best to avoid days that the Indians, Browns, or Cavs are playing. The day we went nothing was happening Downtown and we went at 6 PM with no wait at all. We walked in, went to the counter, and we were seated immediately. We go to the Casino all the time but never ate at the buffet. So after an Indians game one Sunday we decided to go to the buffet and try it out. I really wish I would have looked at some reviews first. This is by far the worst buffet I've ever been to. To exspensive for what it was. The staff was rude and slow. Took 25 minutes just to get a refill of soda. Mostly that was because our server was to busy try to flirt with all the single women that came in. When we first walked we noticed that a lot of the tables were dirty and stacked with dirty plates. The actual buffet wasn't much cleaner. Not really that big of a selection of foods. Just your basics. The pasta and veggies were dried out. The meat was undercooked. The lettus was brown and wilty and had a funny smell. The mashed potatoes had a funny taste. I couldn't put my finger on what they taste like either but they didn't taste like mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes are not that hard to cook. So I don't know what the problem was there. And it just goes downhill from there. You see we knew we were going to the buffet for dinner and the hubby and I love a good buffet. So we didn't eat at the Indians game. So we brought our appetites. After the hour drive home I started noticing a lot of stomach discomfort. Just didn't feel good. The hubby wasn't feeling much better. Needless to say we spent the night fighting over the bathroom.
