Dr. Bittar is not only the best orthopedic surgeon that I ever had he is not money hungry and will do everything in his power not to give Surgery if he doesn't have to. Before I went to Dr. Bittar I had gone different surgeon saiid I definitely needed surgery on my Labrum. I decided to get a second option with Dr.Bittar . After viewing an MIR that the previous surgeon had ordered to me do Br.Bittar said there was absolutely no need to do surgery when the previous surgeon insisted that I did. Dr. Bittar immediately gave me two injections that relieved my pain and then referred me to an excellent physical therapy group and I am doing so much better now. I truly feel that he cares very much about the patient more than making money from them. His two main assistants .Norma and Helmet are so kind and very helpful too. Now I'm not an over weight person myself and I don't get offended by people suggesting a person lose weight but my son was 11 and gaining for no reason we could discern and rapidly. This comment to me suggested he was a lazy Dr who didn't think it was an issue for an 11 year old male child to have insulin levels 3 times the norm and not at all want to explore further as to WHY? Long story short I went to UCLA hospital and it turns out my son had a serious medical condition and endocrine issue. How the heck does this Dr have glowing reviews? He didn't even want to explore further. Medicine is called practicing medicine for a reason. You practice it and you explore why a patient is presenting with HIGH insulin as a child. You don't tell a parent to take the kid to fat camp. It wasn't diabetes and even if it was the fact that he didn't want to even draw blood work to see is shocking. Dr. Travis R. Ladner is a true miracle worker. My…read morehusband is a senior. He had Scoliosis of the entire spine. This caused him to hunch over. He developed a "hunchback." Our primary considerations going into surgery were two-fold: (1) Would he survive the surgery considering his age? (2) What were the chances the surgery would cause paralysis? It was scary to consider. After much prayer and consideration, my husband opted for the surgery. He had extensive spine surgery at the end of April 2026. His entire spine, from top to bottom, had to be straightened. Without a doubt it was gruelling work. His surgery went from 9 to 12 hours because of its complexity. We can't imagine Dr. Ladner's exhaustion after such intricate and extensive work on a patient for 12 straight hours. Today, let me declare unequivocally that Dr. Travis R. Ladner is truly one of the best surgeons in the country - if not THE BEST. To us, he was and is a Godsend. Here we are around 3 months later. My husband has just about made a full recovery. Family, friends, medical practitioners and other doctors are astonished at the surgery and at my husband's quick recovery. My brother, who has worked as a Physical Therapist for over 30 years, says he's never known of, much less met anyone, who has had my huband's full-spine surgery. Would we do it all over again with Dr. Lader? Heck, yes. In fact, the doctors are excellent, caring, and highly professional. That is exactly why it is so disappointing that the overall experience with this medical office is being negatively affected by the front desk. I also want to specifically recognize First DiaMed Pharmacy. Their staff have been incredibly helpful, responsive, and professional throughout this situation. They have repeatedly tried to help me and have contacted the medical office themselves in an effort to resolve the issue. The pharmacy is absolutely not responsible for this situation. My issue has now been going on for approximately three months and involves obtaining my prescribed medication. The main problem has been the front desk. It is extremely difficult to reach the office by phone, and when I am finally able to speak with someone, the communication is often very rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Even more frustrating, I receive a different explanation almost every time I contact the front desk. I have repeatedly been told that everything has already been sent and that I simply need to wait, while the pharmacy continues to inform me that they are still waiting for the necessary response or action from the medical office. Both the pharmacy and I have made repeated attempts to resolve this, yet after nearly three months, the issue remains unresolved. Again, this review is not a complaint about the doctors or the pharmacy. My complaint is specifically about the front desk, the way patients are treated, the difficulty reaching the office, the inconsistent information being provided, and the failure to properly resolve an ongoing medication-related issue. I am posting this review as my final attempt to bring this situation to the attention of office management and have it resolved without further escalation. If the medication issue remains unresolved, unfortunately my next step will be to document the complete history of my attempts to obtain assistance and submit a formal complaint to the appropriate regulatory and oversight authorities. I sincerely hope management takes a serious look at how the front desk is being operated. Excellent doctors should not receive negative reviews because of unprofessional administrative service at the front desk.
