This facility doesn't deserve one star, but I have to put one to leave a review. Dr. Tabassomi isn't a bad Dr. nor is he a good Dr. If he was, I would have had my portable O2 three months ago. Apria, (the company that supplies O2, portable oxygen, etc..), said that the Dr. never completed the form that has to be filled out and that they have called/emailed numerous times. I call, leave messages.. no one calls you back. No one there gives a crap that you're disabled, not able to breathe and are genuinely unconcerned about your health. It's hard enough just to try to breathe, I don't need the weight of a pulmonologist and his staff ignoring me and what I need. I cant believe all the good reviews. Those were the whole reason of me going to him. Obviously, I have to find another pulmonologist. If you or someone you love needs a pulmonologist, stay far away from here. Beware!!! This office just doesn't care about patients. I took my brother in for exam and treatment. We fulfilled all the requested tests for the doctor and a machine was prescribed. After waiting 10 days of follow up with the apnea machine distribution company, and calling this doctor's office multiple times, we were finally told by this office staff that the order was sent to a completely different company. After multiple calls and attempts to reach the doctor, the staff said that they finally sent the order to a proper company. Story isn't over yet..... on 7/19/24 about three weeks now, we call the company that would dispense the machine. They said that they are still waiting for the doctor's exam and diagnosis notes and without it they couldn't send the machine to my friend. FYI, my brother has a serious central and obstructive apnea. He can die in his sleep if he doesn't use a CPAP type machine. This office keeps dragging their feet by having less than competent staff and the doctor never calls you back. At this point we are nowhere because this office has not yet sent All of the paperwork to the dispensing company. read more

Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Dr. Tabassomi himself is a fabulous doctor with great bed side manner. Most doctors make you feel rushed when they are in the room but Dr. T. takes the time to listen to his patients. He even has a great sense of humor that puts you at ease. So far, he has been on top of my pulmonary issues and continues to provide the best care possible. You feel that he truly cares about his patients. This is NOT about the doctor himself, but his staff. Today is Monday. I called the office last Thursday and was put on hold for 10 minutes. She returned to tell me to call back Monday (today) to make an appointment as they were not making appointments until then. I need to follow up asap after a collapsed lung surgery that was done in another state . The girl tells me that the doctor won't be available until 1/24 (today is 1/3), and I said, "Oh, I don't think I should wait that long," (thinking out loud and hoping she could find another opening), and she just HUNG UP ON ME... Dr. Tabassomi literally saved my life. In my opinion, he is the greatest Pulmonologist, and I have been treated by 4 others. My first dr retired, and my care was not satisfactory with the others. To make a long story short, I had pneumonia in June and the previous dr. told me I didn't need another scan after my antibiotics. I knew I was still sick and asked a dr. I trusted for a referral. They referred me to Dr. Tabassaomi. He immediately saw me in his office and sent me for a repeat scan. The pneumonia had returned worse than before, and I was admitted into the hospital, and they even called him on a Sunday! Dr. Tabassomi saw me EVERY day, immediately performed a bronchoscopy to find the cause of my double pneumonia. My treatment was aggressive to stop the progression of my disease and I was out of the hospital in a few days. Dr. Tabassomi just ordered a scan to check my lung condition and I am SO happy to say that my lungs are clear! Thanks to Dr. Tabassomi! He is caring, kind and compassionate. After months of issues with the accounting and billing department attempting to pay the original $600 bill, Dr. Tabassomi's staff deposited the money into my account. When I informed them about their mistake, they told me they needed to investigate it and call me back. For three months I have not heard back from them until this weekend they withdrew their $600 WITHOUT consent from my bank account. Furthermore, I am more concerned that this office has my card information since the payment needed to be made over the phone and I read them my card number, etc. At this point, I am only writing this review to warn potential clients of this offices incompetence. I really wish there was something more I could say, but quite honestly there isn't. In the past, I have called and called, as well as left multiple voicemails which are rarely returned by the staff. And if they are, usually they need to "call me back" because they do not know the answer. read more

This was my first visit to Dr. T's office. I was very anxious and nervous but he calmed me down and I started feeling comfortable. He took time to ask questions and listened attentively. He called me to his office and explained what was on my scan. I felt so relieved when he told me not to worry too much now. He explained to me what will be the next steps. If I could give this place a negative rating I would. We had our initial consult, had procedures and tests done that were requested, and since then have not been able to get in contact with anyone there that can set us up with any follow up appointments. Please note that one of these procedures was an outpatient procedure that turned into an overnight hospital stay and extended recovery time. We are extremely unhappy with the lack of communication from not only the staff but Dr. How this practice is still running is beyond me at this point. After several illnesses back to back (Pneumonia, then Influenza A, then still coughing and spitting up blood, I knew it was time to see a Specialist. Dr. Tabassomi was alarmed enough to check me into the hospital for some tests, which all turned out to be negative, thank God. I received the perfect care and he's still going to check one that showed some redness in the upper left bronchial tube. Since I returned home only after in under 48 hours, I've been improving daily and very little coughing and no more blood! I was in the best of hands! read more

If I could give Dr. Tabassomi 10 stars I would. I have never been a patient of Dr. Tabassomi- but let me explain: I am a Registered Nurse with 30 years of experience and I worked with Dr. Tabassomi for 2 years at Henry Mayo Hospital. He is hands down the most brilliant physician I have EVER worked with. He is competent, and most importantly caring. He REALLY does CARE and sadly, not all physicians do. He is a fierce advocate for his patients and explains everything very well. While some physicians are constantly rushed, he spends TIME with his patients. He is KIND to everyone in the hospital regardless of job title. These are the qualities that set him apart from his colleagues. My friend was recently hospitalized with a serious illness at Henry Mayo Hospital. Dr. Tabassomi completely surpassed all of his expectations. As a nurse with many years working in hospitals that If you have an emergency at night, chances are your care will be managed by a night physician on duty with an extremely high case load. Dr. Tabassomi is the Doctor who will actually COME see you at 2am if needed. It is for all these reasons that he is hands down, THE BEST PHYSICIAN you can have working for you. I have had asthma all my life and it seemed as though it was getting worse so I decided to consult with a specialist. Dr. Tabassomi had good reviews so I decided to try him. He is friendly but he gets right to work trying to find out what your issues are..which I appreciate. After a few tests he gave me a diagnosis and told me to stop my old meds and start new meds. I took them and for the first time in my life I didn't depend on an inhaler every few hours..I couldn't believe the difference. In my opinion for lung/pulmonary issues you couldn't do better than this doctor...he is excellent at what he does. read more

Absolutely outstanding MD! I wish I had gone to him first! I had been having all sorts of respiratory problems and getting the usual run-around with no change and wound up with undiagnosed pneumonia. A friend referred me to Dr. Tabassomi and I cannot thank him enough. Dr. T has a positive, friendly personality (it's rare that I get to actually laugh and enjoy a visit to a doctor), is very knowledgeable and genuinely interested in my issues. I had the best experience at Dr. Tabassomi 's office. It started with the professionalism of the staff. Each one I met was professional, courteous and caring. Dr. Tabassomi is a knowledgeable doctor who listens and takes his time. He spent his time answering all my questions and addressing my issues. I went in suffering with breathing issues during and after my exercise routines. I had been dealing with it for 2 years and had seen my general practitioner who just gave my asthma inhalers, that didn't help. Dr. Tabassomi did all the necessary tests, breathing test and allergy test right there and then. I did not have to make a second appointment to go and get the tests done, he does all his testing in-house and doesn't waste his time or yours. I will be going back if I ever need to! I haven't met Dr. Mostafa Tabassomi yet but I'm trying to get a second opinion on a double lung transplant and my primary dr. found this pulmonary doctor. My original pulmonary doctor is ok but I don't care for his staff. A little rude and hard to get anything done I came to his Valencia office on Friday the 6th. of November to drop off paper work. I mentioned that I have a cd of images of my lungs. The staff was awesome and professional. This doctor accepts cd images which my original pulmonary doesn't. Said he didn't need it and the paper notes is all he needed. Elizabeth who works in Doctor Tabbassomi office called me and asked me a bunch of questions. Very polite and professional as well. I really love the way his staff cares and goes out of their way to make me feel comfortable. I have a virtual appointment to accurately see and talk to Dr. Tabassomi over phone and I will get his opinion that I need to see if I need a double lung transplant. I'm definitely going to change pulmonary doctors even though he is in Valencia but the drive is worth it to get kind and professional help that I need without a attitude and no communication like my original pulmonary doctor.
