These people are crooks! Came in for a consultation over a procedure on my legs. Dr.Malekmehr checked me out and said he could not provide me service over my insurance situation. I was fine with paying cash for the procedure but said they would not do it. Yet they had the audacity to charge me $1,200.00 for turning me away. I ended up going to Nu Vella and had no issues paying cash for the procedure and was happy with the results. Don't go here unless you want to be ripped off! read more

His support staff are the greatest. As I walked in I was greeted by a very professional young lady by the name of Margarita who helped check me in. His ultrasound technician Greg was just wonderful. I'm really sorry to the angry man who is copying and pasting a bad review in 6 different places for Dr. Malekmehr because he may have lost a loved one. Even the best surgeon in the world can't "win" 100% of the time, but I can assure you that it's not because he didn't try his best. Dr. M is amazing, and at the top of his game. He takes on difficult cases that others say can't be done. When we saw him, he was practicing in an office near Valley Presbyterian Hospital in the SFV. In 2008, my Father, who was 8 years out of a major stroke, was found to have an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm that most said couldn't be operated on because it was too large. He quickly got 4D images to the mfg of the stents and had one custom made, and the mfg had one of their employees on a plane to deliver it the following day. The surgery went better than expected, took half of the anticipated time, and this physician saved my Dad's life. When he came out to tell us that everything went well, I was literally jumping up and down and nearly squealing. When I asked him if it would be OK if I hugged him, he finally broke a big smile and said "sure"! Going in to the procedure, we were told that there was a significant possibility that things could go catastrophically bad because of the size of the AAA and Dad's prior conditions. Dr. M came out to give us good news 2 hours earlier than we were told they would be done, and I expected the worst.. When he came to say it was a success, I asked him "how are you not out here squealing like we are, and dancing around giving high fives?" So, for all of those who think he is a cold man.. his response to me was "I am happier inside than you can imagine, but I can't allow myself the luxury of expressing the highs like you are right now.. because we unfortunately don't win every time. If I were to allow myself to celebrate the successes, you can only imagine what I would go through when we lose. I have to try my best to remain balanced," What he said was sobering and made complete sense to me. But he had a twinkle in his eye and he did smile. He was happy! Almost 2 years later, a separate issue landed my Father in Henry Mayo. when he needed to have a central line dropped, my Dad's primary called Dr. M because he felt he was "the best". This man, after working a full day at Valley Presbyterian, got in his car and drove all the way up to Valencia to do this procedure for my Father. He remembered our family and said "hi".. how anyone can't see that he gives compassionate care shocks me. I'm not related, I'm not a current patient.. I have had pneumonitis since August. My pulmonologist said enough of different tests and meds and referred me to Dr. Malekmehr. My first consultation was brief but informative. Doctor said that he wanted to do a VAT. A VAT is taking tissues from each lung for biopsy. I have an awful group Insurance and it was at the 11th hour that my surgery was approved thanks to Dr. Malekmehr and his assistant, Margarita! My surgery was about 2 hours. Doctor came in and said everything went well and I was discharged 3 days later. I had my follow-up appointment 1 week later at which time some of the biopsies had come back negative! I recently saw dr Malekmehr's ad in the Santa Clarita magazine and decided to make an appointment. I was surprised how quickly I was able to get in to see him. I have had varicose veins for years and have seen vascular doctors before and none have been able to help me with more than just compression stockings. Five weeks ago I went through a life-altering experience. A couple days following a very routine and minor shoulder surgery, the inside of my arm near the elbow started hurting. Over the next 48 hours it became warm to the touch, I had difficulty straightening my arm and it appeared red. I went in for my post-op meeting with my surgeon's assistant. During his tests of my mobility, I mentioned the pain in my arm. He dismissed it as residual stiffness and pain from the shoulder surgery. I told him I had researched my symptoms on Google and asked about the possibility of a blood clot. He dismissed my comments as "blood clots after a minor surgery, especially in the arm, just don't happen." I insisted on getting tested for it. When I say he was dismissive, he dismissed my concerns FOUR times in the office. Finally, I insisted. He obliged by saying, "Fine. If it gives you peace of mind, I'll send you to get an ultrasound." Fast forward, I was diagnosed with three major blood clots in my upper arm and rushed to ER and put on immediate blood thinners. Another doctor the following day told me, "I read your reports. You have very large clots. You should probably find a surgeon." Well thanks, that's helpful. I was scared, lost, in pain, and confused. I immediately did a search online for DVT blood clots and surgeon. Dr. Malekmehr's website came up. I messaged my situation through his website and to my shock, he answered me personally the same day stating that he could see me the following day. Fast forward to the following day, Dr. Malekmehr had already researched my situation and recommended immediate emergency surgery. He and his amazing team performed the surgery the following morning successfully removing the life-threatening blood clots in my upper arm. To say that Dr. Malekmehr saved my life is an understatement. This was the scariest time in my life. Dr. Malekmehr was called in to consult when I was admitted to ER for a blood clot in my chest caused by a PICC line. He admitted me and performed a procedure on me to dilute and remove the clot, thereby restoring the impaired function in my arm and hand. He was skillful, knowledgeable and compassionate. When I followed up with him after hospitalization and went to his office, I learned he had a ton of patients. Nonetheless, when he walked in to examining room, he knew exactly who I was, knew my history and thoroughly explained the procedure and followup care. I felt as though I was his only patient. Near Death Experience Thwarted by Masterful Surgeon On November 24th, 2 days before Thanksgiving 2015, I was given the greatest reason to be thankful, Doctor Farshad Malekmehr miraculously saved my life.
