I was fortunate to have Dr. St Hilaire after testing me handle the solution of my veins that weren't doing their job to function their appointed task of sending fluid upwards to me heart and not settle in my lower legs and ankles. They have a wonderful surgical center in Tarzana right on Ventura Blvd and Wilber with ample parking in the back. First of all after four treatments of the lazer surgery my legs feel a great deal lighter and might I say for an older fellow, a terrific sense of normalcy. I will touch base with Dr St Hilaire after the final Ultra Sound test in West Hills. It was an astonishing enlightening and pleasant experience. So how can you accomplish this with a visit to a surgery center. Well San Fernando Valley Group made it look easy. First of all everybody was friendly , as well as professionally expert in their working through the procedure called Endovenous Ablation. The superlative staff starting with the nurses Madina and Jaime were as good as it gets in supporting me through this procedure. Nicole the anaesthesiologist was so nice as she explained to me how she would make me comfortable and I would say happy during the 30 minute or so surgery. Tim as I called him "the man"who was the technician to handle the lazer was stellar in his expertise and pleasant demeanour.I got a chance to meet Lydia the office manager and I must compliment the way she manages this fine establishment. The staff works effortlessly to make you feel safe and comfortable in every way. As my lady who accompanied me there stated the place was also immaculate. I had a procedure done by him to remove my varicose veins today, he had a hard time getting one of them and had to inject me with lidocaine and try to get the needle in 10 times! I could hear him cussing under his breathe, so clearly the procedure didn't go too well. Upon leaving, the lovely front desk staff told me he would be on call if i had any pain over the weekend. I've been in excruciating pain on and off and called the office at midnight since he's on call, telling the operator Karen about my pain and how I think the nurse wrapped the bandage too tight around my thigh. She called the doctor and told me "he said to call back tomorrow morning" I asked what time and she said she doesn't know. I called again at 230 am and she laughed at me and said "he's a stern doctor and he gets mad at us if we bother him" WTF? He's on call and his patient thinks something is wrong. She told me I could go to the ER if I wanted. Honestly so disappointed and disgusted by the type of care this "doctor" provided. He doesn't give a shit about his patients.STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE: I called again at 6:30 in the morning and the next shift of operators were in. They put me on hold again and the doctor told them to tell me he would call me soon. He made a late Friday appointment to accommodate my employer. He praised my brother for being in the process of quitting smoking and really worked with him during the procedure as he was very nervous. Finally, when we got to CVS to pick up the RX called in, the pharmacist was out of that pain medication and said she could not reach the doctor so it would have to wait until Monday. However, when I called it was transferred to him directly and he cleared things up within seconds. Growing older is never painless but when you have good people who know what they are doing and treats every person with dignity and respect growing old isn't so bad. Warning the parking is $2.00 every 15 minutes but their is street parking and a loading area for after the procedure.

We explained the issues and Magina at the office apologized and explained that there was a miscommunication. That they would send the blood test over to our physician's office. Which by the way wasn't received. She said Rhona, the scheduler, miscommunicated.Nevertheless we were told we would get a call from here the next morning. We never got one. So, we called the Tarzana office again. Then we were greeted by a very unprofessional staff member who was not only rude but borderline racist. She made smirky remarks and hung up the phone. Wow!. So we called back and explained. They simply say, they don't know who answered the call. Why is it so hard to reschedule? Why were we mistreated and why is it so hard to get in touch with the right person? This is so not consistent with the reviews that I read. Something is very wrong here. Someone didn't do their job and someone lied. I don't like to make bad reviews. The doctor may be good but the staff needs help. This is by far the worst experience I had with a doctor's office over trying to reschedule. We had no choice but to cancel. Even if they try to talk to the staff, those staff members would still hold a grudge. You lost a patient over a simple rescheduling matter that could have prevented a whole ball of mess.

I became tired wasting time having to repeat communications. Also, at times, Dr. A appeared hurried -- not a calming, relaxed bedside manner typical of physicians I see.
