I love seeing Dr Lloyd for Osteopathic treatment...last time I went to see him they scheduled an appointment for me in two days and then they called me on the same day to let me know he was on a leave. All the sudden he vanished from the practice and there is no way I can find him. Does anybody know whe he is or have another osteopathic dr that you can recommend? I cannot begin to describe the nightmare that has been dealing with the office staff. I fell 60 feet down a cliff and sustained (thankfully) minor injuries, a fractured ankle and L2 Fracture but was very very sore, as you can imagine, all over and hardly able to move for the first week The accident happened in Idyllwild and I was airlifted to Riverside. From the first incidences of calling into Dr. Lloyd's office to get a referral for an orthopedic doctor, the staff paid no attention at all what happened to me and what I needed. They wanted me to come into the doctor's office to see the doctor to get the referral, which makes no sense. That's what the medical records from the hospital are for. I repeatedly asked for Dr. Lloyd to call me directly which never happened. I felt stonewalled by the staff the entire time. Each time I talked to someone else who knew nothing about my previous calls. I should have been able to receive an authorization based on the medical records sent from Riverside, but his staff, who cared little about the actual nature of my injuries and conditions, refused to allow that to happen. The staff then told me that Health Net had changed my PCP and I was no longer covered under Dr. Lloyd. Health Net has no record of that change at all. The staff then sent a referral for an orthopedic in Torrance, CA, which is nowhere near North Hollywood, claiming that my group had been changed to the South Bay, also, there is no record of that at Health Net. Only Health Net would have been able to change my PCP and since they have no record of that happening, I can only assume this was made up by the staff at Dr. Lloyd's office. Unless they can provide evidence to the contrary, that must be the case. I ended up having to go into the office, at which time Dr. Lloyd should have ordered x-rays since they were necessary for my authorization to go through. He did not and I had to revisit the doctor again the next day to get the x-rays needed to go to the orthopedic doctor at which time, the nurse had put in for an EKG... which I don't need, so thankfully I spoke up and said that didn't need that. I have filed a grievance with Health Net and recommend that others do the same if they've had issues with this office, please contact your insurance company and file a grievance. Health Net was able to find an orthopedic doctor in Sherman Oaks. I will be calling Regal to confirm the authorization and then going through that Orthopedic doctor. I will be changing my PCP once all of this is done and over. I wish I had checked these yelp reviews prior to choosing this PCP. read more

I noticed his negative reviews are based on the shared staff of his practice. Don't let that detract you from Dr. Lloyd. He is world class. Sincerely. I've been seeing Dr. Lloyd for years for an assortment of back, neck, body pains. I cannot begin to explain how good this man is or how much he has helped me. For those that don't know, a D.O. is another level of doctor from M.D. (Not higher or lower {although I would argue higher]. Doctors of Osteopathy (D.O.) are trained to look at the whole body to see what causes the issue. They do everything an M.D. does, and honestly much more. If you complain about going in and getting a prescription without the Dr. understanding (or caring) what is really going on, go to a D.O, not an M.D. And I've never met a better D.O. than Dr. Lloyd. He treats the body without automatically prescribing medicine. He is a healer, plain and simple. I play hockey and am probably getting too old for that. But this man fixes me up so good that I don't even have to see him regularly despite a broken collar bone that throws my whole shoulder/back/neck out of whack, and broken ankle that throws the rest of me out whack. Seriously, if you are a weekend warrior athlete, a bonafide athlete, or just a person that suffers from chronic aches, pains (even migraines), I can't recommend Dr. Lloyd highly enough. I am not commenting on his staff, only Dr. Lloyd, and he is THE BEST. (No Joke). How many Dr.'s can you say you WANT to go see. Well If it was up to me, I'd see this man weekly. No lie, no exaggeration, he is the best. The best. So goo that I refuse to get injured when I am out of state. :) read more

This is a follow up a post to a post that I posted yesterday. I thought that I was finally making progress with this office as Lydia called me to tell me that I was approved to see the doctor because they were finally able to verify my paperwork. I made another doctor's appointment for Monday 2/24/14. An hour after Lydia called me to tell me that I was all set and good to go for Monday, I got a call from Veronica, the office manager. She told me that my appointment was CANCELLED and that I was NOT WELCOME in that office. She stated that Dr Lloyd told her that he "did not want to see me" and ordered her to cancel my appointment for Monday. I asked to speak with Dr. Lloyd and of course he was "unavailable". Of course he was, how convenient. THIS OFFICE IS A JOKE. SO TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL. They are not willing to work with their patients. I was put on long holds several times and then disconnected. They were rude and cocky even at one point having the nerve to say to me that it wasn't their fault that I didn't pay my insurance bill. I did pay my bill, and they are totally out of line. Again, I never got to see Dr Lloyd, so I have no complaints about him personally. His staff however are HORRIBLE and immature. AGAIN, DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE. DR. LLOYD'S STAFF IS A NIGHTMARE. THEY ARE TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL AND DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR PATIENTS. I have never been treated so rude and with such disrespect in my life. Totally insulting. Dr. Lloyd saved my life, literally. This review is long overdue and honestly I cannot say enough wonderful things about him as a doctor. If you are lucky enough to have him treat you, you'll see for yourself. He is an incredible doctor. He always listened intently when I would talk to him, never once rushed me or made me feel like "just another patient," I always felt like he genuinely cared about me and was fully vested in providing the absolute best care for me. Like I said, he saved my life. I went in to see him for the first time with some symptoms that I was mildly concerned about, (migraine, neck pain, some vision changes etc.) and he listened to me the entire time, asked some specific questions and ordered a very specific test based on what I was experiencing and that specialized test he ordered literally saved my life because it allowed them to determine I had two torn arteries in my neck. He called me immediately after finishing the test and he had already called the hospital and arranged to have a neurosurgeon waiting for me when I arrived. I was in the hospital for a week and he personally came and visited me every morning to see how I was doing. After being released from the hospital I needed to go weekly to his office for blood work for a year and every time I received the absolute best care from him. It was a very scary and painful time for me, and I'm so thankful I had such an incredible doctor and human being to get me through it. He is incredibly smart, kind, patient and genuine and I just can't think of any better qualities you could hope for in a physician. I moved out of the area and am so so sad that he isn't my doctor anymore, nothing would make me happier than getting to have him as my doctor the rest of my life. I have complete trust in him and can't recommend him enough! If you ever read this, Dr. Lloyd - from the bottom of my heart - THANK YOU!!! (And Garrett & I had a healthy baby boy last April! Dr. Lloyd has been my primary physician for over 2 years. After not having a regular doctor for the past 10 years, he had worked with me to reduce my A1C, blood pressure and cholesterol numbers. He always explains treatment options in plain understandable language. We never have rushed conversations, I'm very comfortable talking with him about my issues. He was quick to refer me to a dermatologist, ophthalmologist and podiatrist when issues arose. With all the new insurance regulations his staff has been very helpful in referring me to, and setting up appointments with, specialists that accept my insurance. I'm also able to get appointments that fit my hectic schedule. read more

Their billing office sent me to a creditors collection agency, AFTER I called to let them know I would need and extension. I was unemployed and didn't have the funds to pay at the time. Not only did I NEVER hear back from their office but i got the creditors bill for $350 and when I called to get it sorted out with the office they said it was not reversible. So I had to scramble and ask to borrow money to pay off the creditors. read more

When I arrived for a scheduled appointment with Dr Lloyd, I was told he was on leave. They did accommodate me with a Nurse Practicitioner, but don't you think someone could have let me know ahead of time (like when they call to verify your appointment) that Dr Lloyd would not be in? I had already met the NP when I was at Burbank Rehab, so I was okay seeing her instead for a routine appointment, And I will have to say that I have received good care from her, but now I hear that the leave is going to be for a long time. I have to decide to stay at this practice or go elsewhere, because there isn't another doctor at the practice that I'm willing to see instead. Back in March, I went to Dr. Lloyd about some knee problems. He took x-rays and referred me to a physical therapist. However, my insurance company was billed for $16,000 worth of shots for my knee that I never asked for, and never received. His staff Veronica and Maria blamed the pharmaceutical company and said they were only supposed to give them an estimate for the drugs, and in no way did they intend to have them delivered. They said the drugs were delivered and just sat in their storage room and no one on staff at Dr. Lloyds office had any knowledge that $16,000 worth of drugs had even been delivered to them ! After numerous phone calls with both Veronica and Maria, and with the company who delivered the drugs, I was assured that the drugs would be sent back and the charges would be deleted from my insurance claims. Today, in May, I get a phone call from Cindy on their office staff asking "We have the drugs for your knees and we want to know when you want to come in for the shots." I called the office back right away, and was told that no one in the office was in at the time. The operator said that there was a note in my file from Veronica telling Cindy to call me about the drugs ! The same Veronica who said she would return the drugs and delete the insurance claim. None of this has been done, and the drugs have been sitting there in their office for two months. I am a cancer survivor several times over. I can not afford $16,000 worth of drugs that I don't need, being fraudulently charged to my medical insurance. Obviously the staff does not care about correcting their mistakes, and completely takes advantage of patients who have insurance. If you are a patient of Doctor Lloyd's I would keep a close watch on what is being charged to insurance. Because once they make a mistake, they will lie to you and tell you they will correct it - but nothing will be done. I have been terribly overcharged, and the my insurance company billed fraudulent charges, but Dr. Lloyd and his staff, Veronica and Maria, just lied to me and have done nothing in two months time to fix their mistake. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Geoffrey Lloyd, D.O. for over one year now. Dr. Lloyd is calm, concerned, caring and compassionate! He is a thorough clinician, who has personally called me with tests and physicals results, on a number of occasions, over the past 15 months. During my hospitalizations, he visited me several times and was so reassuring while completely and thoroughly explaining what I would face during my hospital stay. I don't know what the fuss is all about but I was impressed. Granted, I was only there to get a TB test. I called looking to get the test done ASAP and they said the doctor's next appointment for new patients would be next week. Dr. Lloyd is straight forward & open to work with you even if you do not want to just take meds to "cure" whatever ails you. The old fashioned doctor just there to help you get better & stay healthy combined with hands on non-traditional options; what a concept? If you do what he suggests & have an open truthful dialogue he will probably be the best doctor you can have. If you have the hands on DO treatments you will be amazed at how much better & relaxed you are even if you are fighting through painful conditions. Guess it is a whole body, inside & out, that we are roaming around in & everything we do to or for it is relative. The previous DO I had next door just asked a couple of questions, glanced up at me between his searches on the computer, then recommended x-rays & meds. Insurance or medical group often burns Dr. Lloyd & similar good specialists he refers that truly could help you so you have to use not so good ones in their groups. Would give 5 stars for visits prior to the move to Premier. Unfortunately last time I was in he let me know he isn't taking HMO's anymore so I ended up losing him as my doctor. Due to the medical group &/or insurance I went 3 months paying about $500 a month for insurance I couldn't use due to not having a doctor & thinking they were following up on it as promised. The medical group also appears to have not followed through with any results for the blood & fecal tests, ekg, referrals, & info done with Dr. Lloyd. I just received a letter from the former DO trying to get me back, saying Dr. Lloyd is no longer with Lakeside or Regal. Hopefully I will find out if Dr Lloyd is still in business in the area & if he will accept HMOs as we are entering open enrollment this month. Still can't afford PPOs, even HMOs are going up another $60 a month. Anyway, if you want to feel better & can get Dr Lloyd as your doc, lucky you! read more

He is kind and caring and always try's to give me the best cure first without resorting to medication unless necessary. Dr. Lloyd wasted no time in assembling the perfect team to treat my cancer which was serious and aggressive. He had the exact right solutions at the exact right time. His bill for an extremely short exam was outrageous and no one can explain to me why he ordered a bunch of expensive blood tests that appear to have no relationship to the condition I went in to see him about. The billing office is worthless, they never ever return calls, the only time I can get them on the phone is when Anthem Blue Cross calls for me on a three way call. Ok so let me tell you about Doctor Lloyd. He works for a medical group called Premiere Medical Center own by Dr. Michael Marsh, which is very large and always full of patients. Expect long waits on the phone when trying to make and appointment and long waits in the office to see the doctor. I went to see Dr. Lloyd for severe pain in my lower back and left leg and a dog bite which I need antibiotics because I have no medical insurance I had to pay upfront before seeing the doctor. When Dr. Lloyd came in to see me he checked my heart and told me I would need antibiotics and some X-rays which he can do in his office. He ended up doing nothing for me not even giving me medication. Later that day I ended up in the emergency room which I was given pain medication and sent home. On Monday I called Dr.Lloyd and left a message with his staff received no called back by Wednesday I decided to called back. Dr.Lloyd had wrote a note in their computer system saying I am not his patient so basically he would not help me! Really!!! because I've only seen him previous time for other issues as well!! The very nice and helpful employee Luis got him to finally call me back and when he did he told me he would call a refill of my medications seeing as I was out and in severe pain to where I couldn't even get out of bed! About 20 minutes I receive a phone call from Luis saying he couldn't call in the meds so for me to come get a prescription Thursday. Thursday comes I call Luis to tell him when I will be there for my meds he assures me he will be there and everything is good. Then not even 5 minutes later Luis calls me back and says the doctor has decided not to give me my medications and gives me no explanation but that someone will call me. And believe me unless its Luis that says he will call you back NO ONE from this office will EVER call you back. Dr. Lloyd himself won't even leave a message on the rare chance he returns a phone call. So after all this and its is already the end of Thursday by the time I find out he will not be giving me my pain pills and its not like I'm asking him for a 30 day supply just a few to get me by so I can go see a doctor. I have tried to get an appointment to see another doctor outside of this medical group but due to the fact its about to be friday I was unsuccessful at getting an appointment and will be suffering in pain and stuck to my bed the entire weekend is if it wasn't long enough wait on Dr.Lloyd since Monday. When you see Dr.Lloyd in his office its very quick he cuts you off and several time on other occasions Ive asked him questions and he had to leave the room to find out the answers. All in all terrible Doctor who could careless about you and only care about collecting money Obviously because if he cared about me as patient he would have got back to me sooner and just not changed his mind out of no where. I wouldn't be so angry if on Wednesday night and all day Thursday he promised me the meds and then right before the end of the day and I'm sending someone to get the prescription he changes his mind. In my opinion that is a terrible thing to do to a patient in pain! If you are look for a nice caring professional doctor stay clear of Dr.Lloyd, Luis on the other hand their office worker great professional guy who sticks to his word and forget talking to the manager Veronica she's no help. SCAM!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR!! I have been reading past posts and seems like a common theme here...for me, I asked if they took my insurance over the phone, they said yes, so I made an appointment, went in and was only charged my co-pay, I gave the front desk all my info and was glad I didn't have to pay this doctor's expensive fees. A few days later, the front desk calls and says that they made a mistake and that they did not take my insurance and so I would have to pay the full amount, are you kidding?? Well if I knew I had to pay the full amount I would have not made an appointmet in the first place! That is just BS, telling you something so you think you don't have to pay and then billing you after for their "mistake", there are a lot of doctor's like this out there, BE CAREFUL! read more

I changed insurance and had to change my doctor. I was very upset because I loved my previous physician. Thank goodness I found Dr. Lloyd. He is wonderful. He made the transition easy, listening to everything patiently and making sure I would have the same type of care I was accustomed to. The office is lovely and efficient. I went to see Doctor Lloyd for my yearly checkup. It was my first time seeing him. I was not impressed at all. He just asked bunch of questions, wrote them down and that was the extend of his exam. He did not even call to discuss the results of the blood test. I had to ask the office staff to send me a copy of the test result, which I don't understand. I am very impressed with Dr. Lloyd and his practice. These days going to the doctor can be a whole day affair in some offices, but never have I waited more that 10 min past my appointment time here. Hi Dr. Lloyd fans - OF WHICH I WAS FORMERLY. I am not submitting this review to be slanderous and in the past when Dr. Lloyd was not with Premiere Medical Group on Buena Vista in Burbank...he was a good doctor on Olive Ave., in Burbank. When Dr. Lloyd switched his office, starting with the bringing of Premiere Medical Group staff to his office on Olive...there was a different treatment of myself - a longtime patient by the folks with Premiere. Yes, I am an HMO patient and we do not have certain privileges as do the PPO patients. But when I had a very serious knee injury and could not walk, I was told by the office that I needed to come to Premiere and pick up referrals, prescriptions, etc. - WHEN IN THE PAST THEY WERE ALWAYS CONFIRMED and/or sent to me via fax if needed. Now today 08/31/12, as I switch from Dr. Lloyd to a different doctor...I am being told that both my phone call to the office /email to the doctor and his 'lack-of-assistant' (I will not name any names here) regarding my inquiry for records...I was told by this 'lack-of-assistant' that '...we tried and tried to call you, but the phone was busy, busy, and we could not get through. Gol-LEEE! Are you kidding me Premiere Medical? No way, I answer the phones here and not once was a line busy, never (we are experiencing a very slow time here at my employer's office). So, for the Office Staff to say this sort of thing as I am trying to leave...hey, I don't know that the fault is Dr. Lloyd's...I know from comparative experience with both Dr. Lloyd's offices...it is Premiere Medical Center who treats HMO patients Bad-Ly~!!! Dr Lloyd was not the least bit concerned about my health, I don't even think he looked at my medical history that I filled out on my chart. My previous health history includes cancer, anxiety, pancreatitis, kidney failure, & a few other things & he didn't bring up ANY of them or ask any questions or have any concerns whatsoever. He briefly was in the room long enough to take my temperature & check my heart rate & that was it! Being that I haven't been to a regular doctor in over 5 years, I was expecting a full physical & health exam & at least go over some of my concerns. He did none of this. Also, when they drew my blood sample, they threw it away before they did all the tests & had to draw my blood AGAIN. & the staff at the front are very rude & you can tell they hate their jobs & don't want to be there. I suggest if you are looking for a doctor that actually cares about your health & is willing to sit with you & talk to you about your concerns then you should look for a different doctor!! read more
