Love thier chicken. I had the lula kabob today. Felt like having some beef. The hummus is good. Not too grainy, very smooth texture. The beef was not dry and it came with a Side of grilled vegetables. Thier meal comes with two sides. The salad doesn't come with dressing on it so you can put whatever you want. They provide you with half a huge pita bread. They have an amazing special during the week. Buy one meal get another for free. How do you beat that?? Food is good and done fast. How is it that i'm JUST discovering sevan chicken??? i feel sad for myself. all these years, i've driven totally out of the way to satisfy my zankou chicken cravings when sevan was just 5 minutes away, looking and tasting exactly the same. well, now i know. 1/4 dark chicken plate with pita bread and garlic sauce comes out to roughly $6, and it is oh-so-good. i may give the slight edge to zankou because i've been going there my entire life and have great memories there, but maybe it's time for me to make new memories at sevan. read more

Hands down the best chicken kebab around. I always get the chicken kebab because they always know how to keep the outside of the meat slightly charred while leaving the inside moist and flavorful. I only wish they wouldn't serve it with that purple radish side. Instead they should serve roasted pepper and tomato like almost every other Mediterranean/kebob place I've been to. Also, I'm not a fan of the rice they use. It's a yellowish sticky type rice instead of the loose non-sticky type rice they use in all the kebob places I've been to. Come to think of it, Zankou Chicken does this too. But, if only they changed those two aspects of their dish, I would be coming here all the time. read more

Not as good as it used to be. The chicken is still amazing, but they've changed their cole slaw recipe and it just isn't very good. This is a shame because Sevan is the takeout of my childhood, and the coleslaw was a comfort food for me. The woman who used to run the counter hasn't been there the last few time I've gone, and a new blonde woman in her place just seems kinda bored and cold with the customers on the phone and in person. Their chicken is definately better than Zankou, and Sevan has friendlier managers and staff. Their garlic sauce is EXCELLENT, and second only to SIS in Sunland. Rotisserie chicken is the best in town-moist and delicious, most others don't even come close. Oddly, their shish kabob is one of the better ones in the area. We prefer Persian-style rice offered at some other middle-eastern eateries to the pilaf type served at Sevan, but that is the only complaint overall. read more

Whoever prefers this over zanku is not thinking clearly, its okay. The French fries are a waste of calories, obviously, (why even offer it in the lunch combo?) just get the lunch special, with hummus and rice. its ready in 5-10 minutes which is the only reason why ill go back Next time I should try a wrap. read more

If you're not feeling like having junk food or anything, Sevan chicken is a great choice. They have great chicken, kebabs, sandwiches, and middle eastern side dishes! My family just had a nightmare $32 take out meal here. We picked up the food at 5:30 PM, so it should have been at peak dinner freshness. We got a whole chicken that was so over cooked that I can't believe they sent it out the door. No exaggeration, 1/2 the chicken was so hard and dry that it was inedible, and it went in the trash. The "edible" half was gross, because it was so incredibly over cooked. Eating cotton would have seemed moist in comparison. We also got 8 rock hard, burnt falafel balls. These were also over cooked to the point of it shocking me that they let these go out the door to a customer. Finally, our "salad" consisted of nothing but wilted brown iceberg lettuce, rock hard unripe tomatoes, and onions. I can't believe this place has any good reviews. It's terrible. read more

Great place to pick up a family pack of rottessire chicken!! They have great garlic sauce..so make sure you get that. If you like Zankou- this is even better. OK-- better than humus is their MOUTABEL - which is a smoky eggplant sauce-- really good- -so get that too!! Not eveyone has that! Also recommend would be a small side of tabbouleh and humus. YOU NEED TO ORDER EXTRA PITAS so you don't end up with like one pita for a half chicken.. so make sure you do that.. They also serve those fun pink pickled turnips they come with. The food here is pretty tasty. As indicated by other reviews, the cashier is extremely rude and has a bad attitude. I phoned in an order and she gave me the wrong order and proceeded to accuse me of ordering the wrong dish. I had to be stern in order for her to correct the order. Her bad attitude is towards all customers. Check your receipt and your to-go order. I will not be coming back unless there's a new cashier. read more

I have never eaten here before but based on some comments from friends, I thought I would give it a try. Sigh. So at the time I came in, the place was empty, but my order was taken not long after. As I sat down waiting for my order, I noticed many things about the general environment. The floor was really dirty, there were a few flies circling around and to top it off, on the wall, there's one of those lights that are supposed to attract and kill them. I mean imagine that, you're eating food with a friend at that table hearing the sound of fried flies as you eat your food. Anyways, not too long after I arrived more people came in. The woman who ordered after me had some family type meal which consisted of several plates, two guys got whatever they had and there were two cops who came to eat in. Now why is this crap relevant? I ended up getting my food pretty much after all of them and I got a simple plate for just me. Before all that, as I was waiting, and the people from the back brought out the food, there was one order on a tray (which I assumed was for the two cops). I noticed that there were a few flies in close proximity to the food. Yes. They landed on the cops food, walking all over the store brought pita bread they had taken out of the bag moments ago. I was just like wooooooooooooooow. Moments later he picked it up and went right back to his seat without the people at the front saying anything. I had the blankest stare on my face like, grossed out. Now im here thinking I just got this food let me go home and pretend like I didn't see anything. I can see why it took so long, just about every damn thing on my kabob was burnt. How in the hell am I supposed to eat a stick of vegetable charcoal? Everything else was just so-so. This is my experience but there are obviously people who like it here. Will just have to chalk it up to inconsistency. Like someone else said, this place is in DIRE need of an update. I've been coming to this place for years. Nothing has really changed, except that new lunch special deal of theirs (2 lunch specials for the price of one? Count me in). I actually prefer their chicken over Zankou's because I think the skin is crispier, and the meat is juicier. Their pilaf is so good, and if you melt a little bit of the garlic sauce in it, it's even better. The hummus is creamy, and I usually save it for a snack with some cut up veggies. I don't really tamper much with my usual order. I've never ordered anything outside their lunch or dinner chicken specials, but honestly, the place is known for its chicken and not much else. read more

I love Sevan chicken! It's so good. I usually get their lunch chicken bowl special which comes with lots of their rotisserie chicken over a bed of rice and a couple of sliced tomatoes on top, a pita bread, garlic spread & a med drink. Their garlic spread goes so well with the chicken bowl I love too much, usually order 2 extra sides of garlic spread because I don't think ones enough. Been coming here for at least 15 years. The food is consistently good. You can feed a family of 4 for $15-20. The garlic sauce if bomb, but the tahini kinda tastes like armpit, so when I order the shawarma, I ask for garlic sauce instead. Soooo gooood! read more

This is practically the same thing as Zankou chicken, and thats a godo thing. I only came here once but i was ultimately satisfied. I got the chicken rice combo with hummus and pita bread. The rice was seasoned well and the chicken was pretty good. One thing I must say though that the chicken was a little dry so at times it was pretty difficult to eat.
