When I asked, the manager blamed me for not reading an email and called it a "teachable moment"--for me. I come here for self-care, not to be talked to like a child. He said the doctor's "losing money" on memberships and tried to upsell me to $179/month. Instead of honoring what I paid for, he wanted to charge me more. I wonder if he understands how expensive it takes to get one paying customer? Now you're losing two and probably others will read this post.. This wasn't about the aesthetician--she was great. This was about a manager who chose to argue, deflect, squat in my treatment room and lecture instead of making it right. I paid for a membership. What I got was a downgraded service, a lecture, and an upsell. That's not wellness; that's bad business. Do better. Way better.

I last saw Britney and she was able to squeeze me in even after a scheduling error on my part. Quick, efficient, and always helpful. The results do truly vary - I've been doing laser hair removal for about 2 years now (at a place before this and now for almost a year at this location). It is not a magic solution after X number of sessions to be totally hairless, it does require continued follow up. However, the results at ALS were apparent right away compared to the last place I was going, so they do have good equipment and technicians! Would recommend considering for your lasering needs.

The entire WD team has been nothing but upfront with me about all bills and expenses, and the staff is truly incredible. I cannot sing their praises enough. From the consultant to reception to the nurses, anesthesiologist, and surgeon, Dr. Chike-Obi, everyone I've had the pleasure of interacting with has made me feel like I am in the very best of hands. Dr. Chike-Obi's team has also been extremely communicative. They have responded quickly to all of my emails, called in prescriptions I've requested same day, and one of the nurses, Nicole, even gave me her direct number so that I can conveniently call or text with any questions/concerns. I don't want to say I've been needy or high maintenance ... it is my body and a permanent procedure, so I should feel empowered to ask any and all questions that I have. But I certainly have reached out a lot, and I've been really pleased with the care and attention I've received. Most importantly, I am certain that the WD team is totally and completely dedicated to their clients' health and safety. I went in for my procedure, and when the team realized that I had a family history of malignant hyperthermia, they immediately reassessed and rescheduled my procedure to a date and time when every possible precaution could be taken on my behalf. Rob, my anesthesiologist, was so empathetic -- he answered all my questions and assured me that the new course of action would prevent any adverse reactions to the anesthesia and even make my recovery a bit easier. I've not yet had my surgery, but thanks to the WD team, I'll be going into it with very little worry. I feel confident that my procedure and the recovery process will be as pleasant as all my other interactions have been thus far. If you're looking for bargains or quick-turn procedures, this isn't your place. But personally, dermatological care and cosmetic work are not things I'd ever want a bargain on, nor would I ever want my care to be rushed. This is a top-notch practice. I've had to change waxers over and over again because the estheticians are constantly leaving. First, I have to work hard with the actual service providers to build a relationship over several months to get my services "right." In the 15 min appts it is hard to express the exact brow shape you're looking for, in example. Or, sometimes the technique being used is unnecessarily painful compared to another provider I'd worked with prior. Then, after 6 months it's finally right and then the technician leaves, and the cycle begins again. Plus, EWC is constantly selling to you. "Buy a wax pass" or "try this product." I can't tell you how many worthless unused EWC products I have sitting under my sink that aren't effective, or how many times I wish I had never purchased a wax pass... so I wouldn't be locked in to coming back here when it just keeps getting worse. I don't recommend EWC. Here, or at any other location (by the way, there is no manager here, and they canceled an appt once bc the opener missed her alarm clock, and both of my waxers left bc this whole location is a hot mess)! It's time for me to move onto better, more clientele-focused businesses... even if it leaves my money on the table with the wax pass I was stupid enough to purchase.

Hitting menopause in the last couple of years has taken its toll though. After feeling I'd become invisible to men. I finally decided to get a little filler for my cheeks and to soften my lip lines.
