My boyfriend and I have now been to Sette twice in the past 6 months. Both times we have left with rave reviews. Ambiance is intimate. Very few tables and they book up quickly on OpenTable so be sure to make a reservation a few days in advance if you're trying to dine here. Also note that they are BYOB. We have tried multiple dishes as we opted for the prix fixe menu both nights we dined here. Here are some of the highlights: Insalata Stagionale, Pennette Alla Norma (probably the standout dish to me), Cosciotto Di Pollo, Maialino Brasato, Crème Brûlée, Panna Cotta. Everything we have tried has been amazing. I truly don't think you can go wrong here. They were very accommodating of my allergies to nuts on both nights. The only thing I couldn't experience was the bruschetta that they bring to the table as the bread has sesame seeds, but I heard that the bruschetta was amazing so I was sad to pass this up. All in all, I felt very safe with my allergies. 10/10 food. Probably the best in the area. This personally ranked higher than Ristorante MV in terms of food, but ambiance isn't as comparable since MV down the street is more crowded/happening than Sette. Definitely do not pass up if you are looking for really, really good Italian in an intimate environment.

Lovely! Thats one word that should summarize the experience. The staff were so lovely, i was pleasantly surprised by the hospitality.. the food - amazing. It is a BYOB. Parking can be found in cinema lot. The atmosphere is cozy! Good for a romantic night. They are very attentive. The bruschetta with homemade bread itself was so good, I knew i am in for treat. Try the creme brulee.

Favorites were the calamari, spicy and perfectly cooked, spicy campanelle with shrimp, and chicken cutlets (addictively tasty). We were in a side room and our server was hopping. Great service. We opted for the quieter dinning room with natural light. Our server was great along with the helpers who were very quick to respond to any questions we had or clear something from our table. First let me say we completely enjoyed our dinner. We loved our salad and appetizer and one of the 2 desserts (cheesecake). We both enjoyed our mains and took home leftovers so we had room for dessert. Our only comments and reason for just 4 stars is that our mains weren't seasoned enough. I saw garlic in the pasta with scallops but didn't taste any of it when eating. The red sauce on the chicken parmigiana was great but the chicken and breading was just ok, missing seasoning. Would definitely try again for a special occasion dinner or maybe try the Trattoria which is attached and upstairs. However if spending $100+ per person everything should be wonderful.

I ordered their Sogliola Alla Oreganata, which was a fillet Of Sole with Lemon, Garlic & Herbs, Lightly Crusted & Grilled. The fish was fresh, moist, and tender, allowing its delicate flavor to shine. However, I do wish it came with a sauce instead of just a lemon wedge to add a bit more depth. We tired their tiramisu for dessert, which was served in a cup which I was very skeptical about because I'm all about finding authentic ones. It delivered a wonderfully bold espresso flavor without being overly sweet, which I really appreciated. However, I did not like the construction of the dessert as it had only 1 layer of lady finger and another layer was replaced by a sponge cake. I would have preferred both layers to be ladyfingers for a better texture and flavor. I would also like more mascarpone layers instead of a layer of cream on the top. This just tells me they are trying to save on the cost by cutting the corners with the ingredient replacements. Our server was friendly and the service was super quick. There is also a valet parking available which was very convenient it may not be easy to find street parking especially on weekends. Overall, Ristorante MV is a cute little restaurant that's a good option for date nights serving Italian cuisine with fresh ingredients and balanced flavor. I do find it to be quite pricy for what you get and also the location. I initially was looking at their special menu and was shocked to see 1 meat dish for $70-80. The tiramisu was also very small (one small tea cup size) for $15. There are definitely other options in the area so this may be a one time visit for me.

Our server appeared to be the only one working besides the gentleman making pizzas. He got a little busy while we were there but he handled it quite well. We started with an appetizer of meatballs which were good in sustenance but I didn't care for the sauce too much. Hence the 4 stars. My boyfriend liked it more than I did. It was too tangy for my taste. For our meals my boyfriend had the Chopt salad and I had the Torchia. We both enjoyed our meals. My meal was perfectly spiced and I was glad the space wasn't like the meatballs because I would have been totally disappointed if it was. Our server was attentive to us even as the place got busy. He refilled drinks before necessary which is always a good thing especially when eating something spicy. The restaurant is a bit of a drive for us but I would definitely go back and try a different appetizer or even their pizza. Everything that passed our table looked yummy.
