Christophe and the other young lady on the register to the left of him deserve huge raises as they remained professional, polite, calm and sympathetic to all who's reservations either could not be found or many other issues that kept coming up. Won't be visiting this space again any time soon.

Overall I had an amazing day at Strom!…read more The Good: I was on vacation so decided to splurge with a facial and a massage. The facial was great and super relaxing. I also tried their head to fingertips massage. It was nice, but maybe not something I would do again. It just felt a little slow and not the most relaxing experience. I did really love the grounds. We got lucky that it was a beautiful fall day and we could spend the whole time comfortably outside. We floated around from the hot pools, to the cold plunge, to the Yurt, to their couches by the water. Overall that was truly lovely. The restaurant was an experience. I happened to ask at check-in if we needed a reservation and quickly realized we did. Luckily they were able to fit us in for a late lunch. The restaurant was very busy, so the reservations made more sense. The Nordic menu definitely had some interesting options. The poached pear was probably the prettiest dish I've ever eaten, but it was undercooked, so almost impossible to eat since they didn't give us a knife. Service was very slow and we did not have the opportunity to ask for a knife since our server wasn't around. The Bad: I've never been to a day spa where they didn't give you spa sandals to wear throughout your stay. We were surprised by that. I had to wear my flats all day and my friend had to wear her sneakers. I was also surprised that access to the thermal pools was not included with your treatment purchase. I also wish they provided more amenities in the locker room like most spas do (razors, hair products, eetc). Overall, is this place perfect, no? Did I still thoroughly enjoy it and have an amazing day utilizing the outdoor facilities? Yes!

I could had a…read morefew more cycles but we would have spent the whole day there which is not a bad thing at all. The facilities are modern and clean. Good secure lockers. Nice showers with I want to say mahogany floorboard. Bring a swimsuit and waterproof sandals. Towels are nice and fluffy, as well as the bathrobe. My massage therapist was excellent, I was a content , relaxed rubber noodle by the end of my session. For my "hot" I enjoyed the eucalyptus steam sauna (taking deep relaxing inhales), and the hot tub waterfall (spent several minutes with the water falling in my head which was very vigorous, then just tilt you head forward for a wonderful shoulder therapy). For my "cold", the cold plunge shower was amazing only needed the 20sec blasts, and the cold plunge tub just pinch your nose and fully submerge for 15-20 seconds. After all of that I grabbed a sofa in the resting area and just decompressed to process the entire morning. I hope to come back here every time I visit Montreal in the future

SCAM. UNSANITARY. OVERCROWDED. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED…read more This is NOT a luxury spa experience. There is 1 hot pool, 1 tiny cold plunge, 1 tiny steam room, 1 dry sauna. They allow way too many people in the thermal journey which ruins the spa experience. They do not provide spa slippers and allow customers to bring their own slippers, which could be dirty to walk around the inside of the spa. They charge you $40/slippers which is robbery. We got the duo massage which, for $500+ you'd expect a premium massage, but they hire inexperienced people who do not know how to do deep tissue massages. They increased the prices for special dates but also allow more people in, which defeats the purpose of increasing the price. MONEY HUNGRY scam artists. The bathrooms are consistently dirty, locker rooms crowded and only 3 showers and 3 toilets. This place is a JOKE. To top it off, I asked for some sort of compensation for the experience and the manager said they couldn't do anything about it. SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN.

Everyone loves a good spa day.. but how about a spa day on a boat? Yep.. head to Bota Bota! They…read moreare known for their water circuit and spa treatments, and the location and views are beautiful. The water circuit consists of a three step process that will promote relaxation and wellness. First, begin with either a hot sauna or steam bath, this helps improve circulation and promote detoxification. Next you transition to a cold plunge, to help boost some of those good endorphins and reduce inflammation. Next you want to relax. They have a bunch of areas to chill out and lounge around. The resting is important as it helps your body stabilize. Once you've rested, repeat! Or if you're like us.. go back to your favorite spots. After a couple cycles, we had appointments for some spa treatments. I got lymphatic drainage, which was SO relaxing, and Caleb got a deep tissue massage. This was the perfect add on! The one recommendation I do have, is before having a spa treatment, go change out of your wet bathing suit and into something dry. Putting on a wet cold bathing suit after a relaxing massage was... unpleasant. My own fault! Bring a book and sit on the decks to soak up the sun and enjoy your relaxation steps. The facility is well maintained and clean, and the changing rooms are great. We truly enjoyed this experience and it was such a unique thing to do in Montreal. They also have a selection of bathing suits in case you decide last minute to add this on to your itinerary. Highly recommend! Lentz_explore

I've never actually been to a real spa before (I've had facials and massages but never a full…read morelike... spa experience) and so I figured while on my very snowy December trip to Montreal now was the time. The fact that this spa is on a boat and half of it was outdoors was the appeal! So we booked just the water circuit (no extras, just saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs) to see if this was even something we'd like. Turns out the December visit was the way to go! It wasn't packed at all, and turns out that sitting in a hot tub while the snow falls on your face is actually a top ten life experience. It was cold as heck out, mind you, but somehow you never feel chilly when you're going in and out of saunas and hot tubs. I did wish some of the relaxation rooms were a bit warmer, or there was an ability to swap out a soaking towel at some point, but I was never uncomfortable. Everything was clean and people around us were respectful. I loved the no phone policy and definitely chilled out to staring into this strangely brutalist bay. David Lynch relaxation vibes. The best was the floor where you could sit in a porthole window -- only wish we had discovered it earlier! I would totally come back here and check out some of their other offerings. Dunno, might even aim for a winter trip again because it was just that nice!

I had an excellent experience at this spa, it was simply amazing!…read more I booked a deep tissue massage and it was as strong as I wanted and very skilled. The masseuese was a true professional who knew what they were doing. My aching back was feeling so much better after. When you go to this spa you are free to come as early as you like or stay as late as you want after your treatment in order to enjoy the rooftop indoor pool, sauna, steam room, gym, or relaxation room. I never felt rushed and they encouraged me to stay as long as I wanted. The changing room was nice and had showers with soap, shampoo, etc. They can also provide you with deoderant, a shaving kit, and a toothbrush kit if asked. Along with the robe and slippers they loan you at check-in, you really do not need to bring anything. The relaxation room has bottled water, fancy teas and some nuts and dried fruit. In the end, with local pricing, it was not too expensive. They have monthly promotions so be sure to sign up for their newsletter. The service was the best of any spa ive been to and I look forward to returning again and again.
