I came to see Dr Seth Holland because I was dual insured and he took both. I wanted to have a crown / bridge put in and had the insurance to cover it. I should start from the beginning. The first time I went in for an appointment, they took x-rays and as soon as they were done one of their hygienists came in and proceeded to tell me that she used to date some one that worked where I did and all about how he was psyco and blah, blah, blah. Then while I'm sitting in the waiting room to have my teeth cleaned, she came out with a business card and informed me that I need to tell a couple guys at work that they were paste due for cleaning and they need to come in. Well, come to find out they were former patients and evidently she couldn't keep her trap shut about other peoples records. Anyhow, after that I decided to pass on this establishment. I checked reviews and they had some negative ones (remember this) so I figured naw, I'd find somewhere else. Well, the year was running out and I needed to use my insurance so due to the fact everyone else was booked into the next year, I called Dr Hollands office and the had open spots. I came in for an appointment and discussed what I wanted. HE said he needed to fix a cavity first so, I figured no problem, WRONG !!!!! After grinding the hell out of the tooth, he put a shoddy temp filling in and sent me on my way to wait for the crown / bridge. That night the pain was a bitch ! I couldn't eat, drink water, even warm, and nothing would stop the pain. I called the next day and he said to come in, which I did. He shot it up with Novocaine and said I would have to wait the two weeks till the crown / bridge came in. I went the rest of that week not sleeping, eating and barely drinking because of the pain. I called again and he had me come in again, took a couple pics and sent me on my way. after a couple few days I couldn't take it anymore and called. He had me come in and suggested that I just keep coming in so he can shoot it up with Novocaine. I said no, he needed to fix it NOW! He had his scheduling lady call a endodontist to see about a root canal, now keep in mind I haven't had a toothache or anything in years until now. He said that this guy took my insurance, which was a lie. I went in and he tried to freeze my teeth on that side, A "test", then said he could do it but didn't take my insurance and the cost was outrageous !!! I spent 2 days finding a reputable endodontist to do a root canal. They took some X-rays and said that the nerve was left laying against the side of the hole he created in my tooth. Before I left Dr. Hollands office I asked if I owed anything and they said no. I refused to go back and had my previous dentist pick up the crown / bridge and decided to pay out of pocket to finish this mess. DR. Holland was already paid to finish the work but, hell no, he wasn't getting the chance. Now, months later, I get a bill for the x-rays and other crap that he did because he screwed up AND, when I looked at his reviews on the different sites, ALL OF THE NEGATIVE ONES I HAD READ WERE GONE !!!! Don't be as dumb as me and go to this office, you will regret it ! I am leaving this review because after the whole mess they called and left a couple VM's asking me to call them and I received a letter in the mail asking me to leave a review. Well, here it is ! And if it disappears, I will keep reposting it ! Update: I just got a report from my insurance's and It seem's that this place likes to bill the insurance max and leave nothing, even when they don't do the work. I have TWO dental insurance policies. Dr Hollands office maxed them both out for x-rays and cratering a tooth. It cost more for his mess than to have an edodontist fix it !!! (Yes I have discussed this with my previous and now current dentist) He did doing nothing to fix it. All of this was done in 2019, THEN ... The beginning of this year I get ANOTHER bill, so, I call, the lady told me they have been having billing issues AND MISTAKENLY CHARGING AND BILLING PATIENTS AND INSURANCE !!!!! read more

Long story that I will try to make as short as possible. I was new to the area.. found this office.. made an appt. I had a great experience & asked if they took my daughter's insurance so I could make her an appt also. I had the card on me & showed the girl at reception. She enthusiastically told me they did, made a copy of her card, made a file & made her an appt for me. We came to her appt, I asked if there was a copay.. they said I was good! Months later, I get a call from them that the insurance isn't paying that I need to call. I call & find out they never accepted my daughter's insurance to begin with. My insurance asked why they never pulled a pre-authorization & said it is standard procedure. The dental office told me they only do that for expensive procedures. They now were billing me for $500+ for a basic exam. How is $500 not expensive? I definitely don't have that lying around. They told me that I should have known my insurance. While, this being true... 1) I have always made dr appts this way... asked if my card was accepted, etc., 2) if they didn't want to be held responsible, they should have told me to call and check to be sure instead of telling me they accept it. In my opinion, that's the same as telling a customer you accept visa and then once providing services, saying it's cash only. That's just wrong and poor customer service. Although extremely frustrated, I made a small payment of $100 and communicated with them that I was not working as many hours & going on maternity leave soon.. wouldn't be able to make a payment until I was working again. They were super understanding and told me not to worry. They SUED ME 4 months later. That isn't even the best part! They hired a dishonest collection agency that LIED about serving me.. so, I had no idea I was being sued... no chance to show up in court. I received paperwork telling me I was being garnished- this is how I found out. Mind you, I was not working due to COVID related issues & I am a single mom. So, instead of the $400 I owed.. it's now $800 with filing fees & interest. I wrote the judge asking for a hearing because I had never been served. My request was denied with no explanation why. I could not afford an attorney. Fast forward... I finally am able to return to work & I call the collection agency to try to work out a payment plan instead of the garnishment. They refuse. So, now, I will likely face eviction because they are garnishing 25% of my check when I am currently living paycheck to paycheck. Or, I'll be able to pay rent late, with a late fee ($200) and whatever their lawyer filing fees are. So, this whole thing is costing me an extra $1,000 at least with late fees, filing fees, interest, etc. All because they decided to sue me over one of their employees mistake.. telling me they took my insurance. So, they may be a good dentist.. but their billing and staff are dishonest and clearly do not care about anything but getting their money. Potential patient BEWARE! read more

My husband and I have been going to this dental office for about five years. We are always delighted by Rosalind, our hygienist. She's fantastic! Most of the time we are only in need of a cleaning which is why the experience with Rosalind is very important. She's simply delightful. Also, the office staff is wonderfully helpful. We had a snafu with the insurance company and Jill helped us through it with patience and diligence. Finally, we are pleased with Dr. Holland as the replacement for Dr. Weiss. He is attentive and friendly. My husband had a crown placed, and it was pain free and easy. read more

UPDATE: After seeing this review, Dr. Holland's staff called me and asked if I would come in and allow him to look at my teeth and see the cavities found by my new dentist. I obliged, with the condition that the appointment was free; I could not afford more dental work on top of the scheduled work at the new dentist. I had expected that they would just do some x-rays, but when I got to the exam room it was set up with a tray of drill bits and whatnot. Dr. Holland conceded that there were six cavities that needed to be dealt with; he then offered to re-do the filling that I had complained about, completely free. How could I refuse? This new filling is 10x better! I can finally chew solid and cold foods with it, no pain. Dr. Holland had been using a filling material left over from the previous dentist, and had switched to a new composite after complaints from other patients. I am so grateful that Dr. Holland fixed my tooth for free; he did his best to make up for the discomfort I had faced. His staff was also very nice and accommodating, as always. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I've been visiting this office since 2015. I didn't have any problems until about a year ago when I had a cavity filled, and it's been bothering me since. I've visited the office since and they pretty much couldn't do anything to help except shave the filling down. Now my tooth is in noticeable pain every day; I visited a new dentist to get a second opinion and found out I have eight unrelated cavities (at least according to them). I enjoyed my time working with this office; the staff is friendly and so is Dr. Holland. However, I'm not sure about this filling; I'm left with a sore tooth that didn't hurt before the procedure, so I'm seeking other opinions. read more

My husband's teeth were not good and Dr. Holland suggested that he should get implant supported dentures. He assured my husband that he was qualified and experienced to provide the needed implants and dentures. On the day of the implant surgery, Dr. Holland experienced difficulty in drilling for the implants. He abandoned where he initially had drilled and moved to a different place to drill. When the implants were finally done, my husband knew that one of the implants was crooked. The dentures were made and installed but never fit properly. After over two years (a total of 38 dental visits) of Dr. Holland trying everything he could think of to make the dentures fit properly he asked if my husband would mind having a specialist take a look to see if he could offer some insight as to why they weren't fitting properly. The specialist basically indicated the dentures won't work because of the implants (again, my husband already knew that the one implant was not straight). Dr. Holland never offered to pay for my husband to see the specialist and still felt confident that he could get the dentures to work. At this point my husband didn't want Dr. Holland working on him anymore! My husband had to start the whole, long, painful process of new implants and dentures again but done this time by a specialist with expertise in dentures. We submitted to Dr. Holland the costs we incurred to have someone else fix what he messed up but he chose to only pay us a fraction of what it cost us. He obviously didn't feel bad that he provided inadequate professional care! Dr. Holland need to look in the mirror and ask himself if he were in our shoes would he be satisfied with how he handled the situation! But, on second thought that would require integrity and a conscience!! read more

I really like this dental office. I know I have some issues with a couple of my teeth that will require crowns. I trust them and feel they are realistic about it and let me know it can be put off, where other dental offices use it as an opportunity to make money. This office puts the patient's needs first. The office staff is very friendly and in a pretty park setting. The wait is short. No long periods of time in the waiting room. The dentist,Dr. Holland, and the hygienist, Rosalind, are very thorough and gentle. They listen and are authentically caring. They explain what is going on and take the time with you to make sure you are given their undivided attention. They are considerate of the finances and of the patient in all areas. Dr. Holland did an excellent job recently with a crown I needed. Initially, I was concerned because no one really enjoys hearing the verdict that a crown is needed- he definitely tagged it for what it was, since it had been sensitive off and on but I hadn't done anything about it. However, with his signature care that I have come to appreciate, he put his artistic touch on my poor tooth. I am thrilled with his work! It went much smoother than any previous crown, even the temporary crown was better than expected. Kudos to his assistant as well, she was fabulous! My initial concerns were polished away as he verified that my bite was comfortable. His extra efforts were greatly appreciated - they were definitely a sign that I should keep coming back to him for future dental needs.
