I had some super sharp pain a few days after, but once I called they got me in, same day, for a check up to make sure everything was healing correctly, and they applied a gel that relived the pain almost immediately. They called a couple times to check in, and seem very dedicated to making sure all of their clients have the smoothest experience possible. Everyone in the office was extremely kind and professional, I felt very well taken care of. Dr. Welch is an easy guy to trust, and regardless of having a difficult week of healing, Northwest Oral and Implant Surgery really did everything they could do to make sure I was taken care of. BEWARE OF SHADING BILLING!!!…read more I brought my 15 year old daughter here for removal of her 4 wisdom teeth. She chose to not be put under general anesthesia. They initially charged me for general anesthesia, just in case. I didn't realize this until they later sent me a bill for about 100 bucks, stating I have a balance owed. I compared their bill to the insurance claim and low and behold I found the discrepancy charge for general anesthesia which meant I actually would be needing a refund. Boy was this difficult to get. Multiple phones calls, the women who does insurance told me they no longer accept my insurance and next time I will have to deal with insurance. Ok well I don't plan on removing any more wisdom teeth or having more kids so I am ok with that. In the end they told me they can't even issue refunds but instead a third party does and instead of refunding me the payer and adult eventually they cut a check to my daughter. This took over 6 months to resolve and like I said multiple calls. This could have damaged my credit having a bill owed. Double check any bills they send against your insurance claim as these people are shady. Some other information that might be useful to those looking for dental extractions. The bed side manner of the dentist preforming the work was to say the least creepy, he didn't numb her enough as he was annoyed she didn't want to be put under. He would have to stop when she was in pain and crying to re numb her. He whistled while he did the work, while my 15 year was crying. He just acted like he couldn't hear her.

At one point, a newly hired office employee called me and asked if I still worked for [name of company] and it literally only shared a first letter with my company, even though I had given the office staff a copy of my insurance card with the company name on it. This employee told me this wasn't an uncommon error and that she had been hired in the wake of multiple firings from previous staff who made a lot of mistakes. I decided to go to another local dentist that can actually figure out how to bill insurance and not hire people so easily confused. Again, the actual dentists and hygienists are fine... and hopefully the front office staff is much better than it was circa 2015-ish.

The dentist barely looked at one side of my mouth, mentioned a couple cavities and left, and then the dental staff -NOT the dentist- started diagnosing me with all kind of things no other dentist before seemed to have ever noticed were issues?!? They then wouldn't give me a preventative cleaning because they claimed I needed special treatments and gave me a very long list of things I was going to need. By that point I started googling reviews and I walked out without rescheduling and will be finding another dentist. If you read other reviews they have a reputation for predatorial business practices and pressuring patients into expensive treatments. It seemed so bizarre that a dental hygienist was diagnosing me with things first of all and for it to be things no other dentist had noticed before seems suspicious. And it wasn't a discussion of options , it was just moving me along toward scheduling for all this extra stuff. Dentist don't usually do that.... The energy of the office was just so... rushed and urgent and corporate. And my mouth hurts now from the X-ray equipment and I didn't even get a cleaning.... also just found out they have class action lawsuits against them in other states...

I was scared, in pain, and had absolutely no idea what to do. I left a message through their emergency line, and Dr. Jill personally returned my call within minutes. She immediately jumped into action and went incredibly far above and beyond for me. She calmly walked me through what to do step by step (over the phone), stayed with me while I got my tooth back into position, checked in repeatedly about my pain and bleeding, reviewed my medications with me, answered every question I had, explained exactly what symptoms would mean I needed to go to the ER, and made sure I understood what follow-up care I would need. What struck me most was how incredibly kind she was. I was panicked when this happened, and she never once made me feel rushed, embarrassed, dramatic, or like I was inconveniencing her. She was patient, reassuring, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure I was okay. By the end of the call, my tooth was back where it belonged, my pain had significantly improved, and I had gone from being terrified to feeling like I understood what had happened and what I needed to do next. What makes this even more meaningful to me is that I wasn't even an established patient of Dr. Jill's or the dental office's. It was late at night, she had never met me, and she simply heard that someone was frightened and needed help and did everything she could to help me. That kind of humanity is rare, and I will not forget it. If this is how she treats someone she had never even met before, I can only imagine how well she takes care of her patients.
