I brought my 12-year-old son in for a haircut with Alex. I clearly explained what he wanted and…read morespecifically asked that his hair be kept long. Instead of listening, Alex brushed me off and told me he knew what he was doing. Unfortunately, this was the worst haircut my son has ever had. I'm honestly embarrassed for him to go to school tomorrow. It was essentially the exact opposite of what I asked for--and the execution was also poor. He was given a crooked, poofy faux hawk, the bangs are uneven, and the neckline is jagged. Most importantly, a significant amount of length was taken off despite my very clear request to keep it long. I truly cannot believe how bad it is, especially after I clearly communicated what we wanted. I'm giving two stars because this review is based on our experience with one stylist and I don't want to generalize that experience to the entire salon.

For years people stop me on the street asking who cuts and styles my hair and so it is reflected in her work. I have send many people to the salon and they still are happy with the results. Due to current restrictions, I had not been able to get my usual hair maintenance done. A few days ago, I made an appointment and went to see Anna K for the whole treatment - hair color, highlights and haircut. She was a very engaging lady, very sweet and personable, and really listened to what I wanted - also very efficient which I like because I really dislike spending hours in a hair salon. I absolutely LOVE my hair! Beautiful highlights, great haircut, and I've gotten so many compliments. THANK YOU, ANNA!! The place is new so I felt more comfortable - everything was clean, and she gave me the opportunity to sit outside while waiting for hair color to set so I can breathe fresh air instead of inside with a mask. It was a truly wonderful, thoughtful service. They also have other services (spa, nails, etc) that I am excited to try out. They really are mindful of their customers' comfort and COVID guidelines which I absolutely appreciate as well. Thank you, Magic Scissors!!

It seems that almost every person that walks in is a regular, based on the interaction they have with the staff and the fact that the staff greets them by name. There is always a spot or two open in the little strip mall area, Even though they are all marked "30 minute parking only", I was assured that I will be fine. One note that may be important to certain people: On occasion they play rap with explicit lyrics. If this bothers you, I am sure they would skip to the next song, if you ask. They are all very nice.
