Don't let it scare you away! Inside Lift it is a hidden gem of a place. Bo took my appointments over the phone and couldn't have been nicer. What a friendly, kind soul he is. He greeted me at the door and introduced me first to Tina, who gave me the best facial experience I've ever had. She also did my eyebrows and lip. She used hot rocks for the massage part-- it was AMAZING! And the bed was heated, which on a cold day like yesterday, just felt heavenly. She was so thorough with the facial and took her time to tell me what she was doing each step of the way. This was my first facial in 10 years-- but I'll be back. What a treat, and very reasonably priced! Then I moved over to Jennifer, who took so much time listening to what I wanted to do with my cut and color. I'm currently in the mid-stages of letting my natural color (gray/ white) grow in, and I explained this to Jennifer. She listened, really thought about what we needed to do to make it less awkward and obvious, and went on to work her magic with full platinum highlights. She then gave me a FABULOUS cut. I walked out of the salon feeling like I had had the most pampered, awesome day of my life! Thank you, Bo, Tina, and Jennifer!! You all are truly the best, and I'm thrilled to have found you! (And thank you to Julie, the nice lady with the beautiful hair in Starbucks, who I approached to ask who did your gorgeous hair. Thank you for sending me to Jennifer!! I'm so grateful!)

My daughter and I have been doing the magic sleek (a defrizzing, straightening treatment) on our…read morecurly locks for a few years now. We've been happy with our treatment and stylist, but a friend recently switched to Jasmine and said the results were better than ever. My daughter had 2 days home between summer adventures so I figured it was worth trying Jasmine. She was booked when I reached out, but then the week of let me know she had a cancellation and could take her - whoo hoo! The entire process took 4.5 hours, which is long, but crazy enough less than the 5+ hours we usually spend doing this treatment. Jasmine herself was was super friendly and confident that my daughters hair would be better than ever with this treatment. I was hopeful, but skeptical. She got to work right away with a few assistants helping with the process. When I picked up my daughter I was shocked how straight and smooth her hair was after just running a blow dryer thru it for a few minutes. My daughter was thrilled, although she hoped it would be a little wavy after braids since she doesn't like it perfectly straight. She took off for camp the next day, but the only letter I've gotten in the mail is (no joke) "my hair is totally straight." And based on the camp pictures I've been amazed by how well it took to her hair. It looks a little wavy at the ends and I'm guessing she's likely sleeping in braids to get it to curl a bit. We usually have to do this treatment every 5 months. Jasmine thought every 6-12 months, but our roots grow in so curly that I'd be shocked if we could go that long. I'm also interested in trying Jasmine for the magic sleek, but she thought other treatments would be better for my blonde (highlighted) hair like the keratin express. It's tough to please a 13 year old when it comes to hair (and other things), but I think Jasmine did it!

If I would've known upfront about the curls, I could at least decide myself if I wanted to pay that much or not. I appreciate not charging me the full amount but I'm sure I still paid $100 for a 5 year olds haircut. I didn't say anything at the time but I'm sure the look on my face was shocked. I paid without any fuss but next time I will definitely have to keep this in mind if I decide to visit the salon again.

April assured me that all of my remaining appointments for 2026 were in the "book". Today, I arrived for my normal appointment and was advised that Ina was on vacation and that neither Ina nor anyone else had bothered to either call me or re-schedule me with another stylist. Also, the receptionist was completely useless. instead of trying to solve the problem by seeing if another stylist was available, or scheduling me for another time, she just kept babbling "its not my fault". I think this is pretty shabby treatment after 6 years as an every two week customer. I'm shopping for a new salon and will never return to Scissors Edge. I would think that Shelly, the owner would offer a comment, but total radio silence.
