Heard great things about the place and had to stop by since it is another concept by the team behind Motek. Located in the new development Sole Mia. It's a French boulangerie meets Israeli spice. It has the cutest decor with the pink car parked outside. Perfect insta worthy photo op. There is a variety of pastries and breads that you can grab at the bakery to eat there or take home. The bread indeed looks amazing and everything is made fresh! I couldn't decide what to try but I went with the bread pudding at the recommendation from my waitress. It was so good with the soft dough texture and moist filling. I also ordered the fish schnitzel bun. My goodness the bun was soft in the inside a lil crisp on the outside with every bite. It was delicious. I also liked the pickled carrots and pickle that was served with my sandwhich. The hibiscus tea was refreshing. It's out of my way but I don't mind coming to try more menu items. My review is based solely on staff interaction, not the food (which is delicious, by the way). I called ahead to check if there was a waitlist, but the person who answered said she couldn't tell me because she was in the back room. Instead of transferring me to the front or checking with staff, she simply said she was unsure. When I arrived to pick up my order, I asked two gentlemen near the coffee area if the outdoor tables were available for takeout customers. They looked at each other, laughed, and said, "We don't know." Does anyone at this restaurant know anything? It's disappointing to ask basic questions and get no clear answers. I visited Sesame a couple of weeks ago for a to-go order. Honestly, every time I passed by there on the weekends, it seemed so packed, that I just wanted to get some of their baked goods for a friend's gathering. When I made it there, the restaurant seemed like chaos, they had a girl asking if you needed a table but they needed a proper hostess stand to guide you better. Since I was just taking it out, I went directly to the cashier. The pastries looked delicious so I was getting excited. I ordered 2 cookies, one dark chocolate, and one chocolate chip, I'm not so into cookies but these were delicious! I also ordered the almond croissant, it was filled with caramel and it was perfection. On a salty note, I ordered a pretzel bun caprese panini, also delicious, like the bread was so good! And a pasty filled with mushroom and a creamy sauce in the middle that honestly I ordered because it looked so good and indeed, it was amazing! I had a few more things that were good and yes, food-wise it was amazing! 100% recommended on the pastries side. However, they need to work on the customer service side. The cashier was a guy, I believe Argentinian and he took my order but had me waiting on the side for 15 min, not because he was taking or prepping another order but talking to the other employees, having coffee and I was just there waiting for the order. 10-to 15 minutes after, another customer arrived, saying they were there to pick up a Too Good To Go order, which I thought it was cool for them to be part of that community, he told him to wait and when he finally saw me again, he asked me what was I waiting for and I was like "The order I placed 15 min ago" and he finally started to prep my order which took him less than 5 min. I left and when I was going around the restaurant I could see the other guy was still waiting for his order while the cashier was back to chit-chatting, so definitely they needed to be more organized. Another outstanding addition to the Motek Family of restaurants, you know them... yalla and Motek Cafe, that place that's in every corner and each location makes you feel in the Mediterranean? Yup, now they have a bakery and the best part? It's in my morning walk/run/drive to school. A quick grab and go and I'm sure they'll have an app you can easily get rewarded from being a loyal customer ‍ Camilla over at the ordering counter knows how to guide even the never been there before customer throughout the entire menu. While the portions are on the smaller side, the food is good. Be prepared to spend around $80 for breakfast for two and possibly not leave completely full. It feels more like a cute coffee and pastry spot than a full breakfast destination. The pastries, however, are definitely worth it, even with the challenges of limited parking and a 20-minute wait for coffee. Our waitress did mention they are adding more coffee machines soon, which should help with the delays. It's a dog-friendly place, which is great! However, I'd suggest adding a dog menu item or two since over 40% of patrons had their pups with them. Including some children's options would also be a nice touch, given the influx of young families. One issue we noticed was the bus staff and food runners seemed a bit confused about table numbers, which caused some delays. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot for coffee and pastries to-go. I was so excited to try this place since they are a bakery owned by Motek one of my favorite restaurants, but it was beyond disappointing. Don't let their beautiful Instagram and shining reviews fool you. First, we arrived and waited by the hostess stand for about 10 minutes, nobody was there or came to seat us, so we had to flag down a waitress and ask her if we could sit at an empty table outside. After sitting down, we got the menus and were ready to order and again our waitress came back after about 30 minutes to take our drink and food order. I wasn't upset at this point but understanding that maybe the restaurant was busy...there were about 5 waitresses outside where we were sitting, 4 baristas inside by the coffee machines/pastries. There was a single table sat inside, and outdoors was not busy, it's a small establishment not to mention it was a weekday. We sat again for over 40 minutes, no drinks, no water, no food, no waitress passing by the table. Finally, our waitress brought our food and drinks, quickly asked if everything was ok, and rushed off. I ordered a Vanilla Rose Iced Latte which was listed next to the coffee on the menu, it came with no coffee, was just milk with pink syrup and sugar in the tiniest cup for $7 which is completely a rip off for milk and syrup. The waitress nor menu told us that the latte contains no coffee. Again, our waitress wasn't popping by and another waitress overheard me say how I wanted to ask for an espresso shot for the drink. She kindly came over and said she'd bring it. We finished eating our mediocre "toast" breakfast, which in fact was just toast. I had the croque madame which had this weird tuna inside. It looked like can tuna, but it was sliced and warm didn't taste fresh at all and had a weird color. The dish also had cheese and one egg on top as well as a small side salad. We also had the wild mushroom toast which was tasty but for $18 again wasn't worth it. It was a single slice of toast with mushrooms, one egg, and some parmesan shaving on top with the side salad as well nothing extraordinary. We finished eating, the waitress that offered to bring me the espresso came back but still didn't bring it, our waitress didn't pop by the table the whole time either. She apologized said she's bringing it now. Another 15 mins pass, nobody comes back to the table. Not with the espresso, to clear our plates, to ask if we need anything, to bring water, offer dessert, NOTHING! Obviously at this point I am frustrated, I go inside to ask for the manager, there are other people having issues as well so I'm in a queue of a couple people to speak with her. Finally, I explain the situation, she takes the latte off my bill, brushes me off says she'll talk to the waitress making it seem like this issue occurs often. I asked her to pay now since our waitress for sure would've probably came at the end of her shift to take care of us so she could close out. They auto include gratuity which I wouldn't have a problem with had she even come to check at least once on her table aside from taking the order and bringing food. I understand whatever situation she was having, but if you can't take care of your tables kindly ask another waitress or your manager to help you. I paid and left super upset...I don't think I've ever received such horrible service. I wanted to try their pastries as well which looked amazing, unfortunately the service left a bad taste in my mouth, and I didn't want to spend another dollar there. Five of us came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The service was escelllent. The food options were meh. I'm not a fish eater and the only protein on the menu was salmon or tuna. So I ordered a Greek salad; which was OK. Not enough feta cheese or olives and I didn't like the dressing. My grandson ordered pizza and I had a piece. It was very dry. My wife's salmon was way undercooked. But here's the real issue. After dinner we went inside the restaurant and they had a lot more food options that were not on the menu, specially an assortment of sandwiches. I wish we had done that first or that our server told us there were more options inside. Bad form. Make sure you check out what's inside before ordering off of the menu. And I know more places are doing this, but I don't like when they include a tip on every bill. IF I ever come back here again, it will not be to order off of the menu but to order from inside. The savory foods here are so flavorful and fresh. My husband and I tried the scrambled egg toast, the mezze, and the sesame breakfast and they were all 10/10. Service was also amazing and our server Rosa was so kind and attentive. The food also came out incredibly fast- honestly within 5 minutes of ordering the food was coming out, which was great. I'm only docking a point for the dessert and coffee. I tried a pistachio croissant and was so excited because it's my favorite, but the cream just tasted like vanilla and didn't really have much of a pistachio flavor, although the actual croissant was impeccably baked. Overall- lovely place, great vibe and decor, nice outdoor and indoor seating. The cheese boreka was delicious - would get again. I just wish they had a plate option - boreka with pickles, tahina/labne and hard boiled egg would have been perfection. The sesame breakfast plate was good - the big loaf of bread was generous and yummy. And I liked the little sides of crushed tomatoes, tahini, pickles and Israeli salad. Would have been nice to have the option of labne or to switch the bread for a Jerusalem bagel - which was also delicious. The only thing I didn't like was the green shakshuka - it was salty and not appetizing. Too creamy. They also didn't mention it had dairy so my partner couldn't eat it - please add allergen info to your menu. I would have much preferred a regular tomato shakshuka and I hope they add that to the menu. The rose latte was fine - wouldn't reorder. Just tasted like rose water and milk, couldn't take the coffee. Would return and order different things but i hope they make some of the changes above because it's really great otherwise! read more

I had to look for a place to park, pay for parking, I had arranged to meet some friends for breakfast, 3 cars, 3 parking spaces and we arrived and the place was closed, it has never opened yet, tables, chairs, everything inside the place, all are products that look like they are new. It is very hot inside because the door are opened all time. Also they have to cover the food that's near the order. People are sneezing and breathing on that. Please find some lids for these plates or remove it from cashier. In addition please fix your open hours everywhere. This place treats customers like they're dumb. They charge $5 for "Turkish Coffee," but all they do is pour hot water over ground coffee in a tiny 1-ounce cup--total scam. Same with the Matcha Latte--they frugal on powder, and don't even bother to stir the powder, and you end up drinking cheap milk instead. Espresso? Total gamble. One day it's a decent full cup, the next it's half-empty and tastes like Starbucks leftovers. No consistency, no coffee-making knowledge. They had the potential to outshine all Miami's bad coffee spots but are too lazy to invest in a proper Turkish coffee pot and learn about how to make coffee. read more

I stumbled on Sesame Bakery by accident on Saturday, yesterday, and was quite amazed by the ambiance. Then I tried the food and, yet again, very pleased with the fresh baked bread, spicy peppers spread, olives, grated tomatoes, herbs, all toppings. The service was impressive, by my extremely pleasant server, Rosa, who explained and encouraged tasting different items. Today, Sunday, I went back with my wife and two dear friends. They all loved the restaurant, food, coffee and lemonade. I had a lovely tuna melt. Again, Rosa recognized me and was very welcoming and helpful with all our questions.
