This spot is a gem. Legit gem. To be frank, it was not my first option. It was the first day of the year and pretty much all my go-to spots were closed for the holiday. I decided to look up something quick, simple and close by, and that's when I found sunnyside cafe. I had passed it a million times before. I'd wander what it was like but it never caught my attention until that day, so I decided to finally give it a try. I almost regret not finding it sooner tbh. It was amazing. I hadn't realized that they had an entire back side area next to a garden! Although it was busy, I was able to get sat surprisingly quick. Due to a recent (new) egg allergy, my options have been quite limited for breakfast... this spot made it easy to choose something lacking eggs. I went with the salmon avocado toast and a strawberry pistachio matcha (out of the norm for me but I wanted to try something different). The wait wasn't too bad. I received my food at a timely manner. Everything was delish! I truly enjoyed every bite and sip, while people watching haha. I'm definitely going back for more. It's too cute not to and the service was A-1. Definitely a date spot, good for groups or a solo brunch outing. read more

Local gem in City of North Miami. A small little place on the corner of the plaza. Been here since I was a kid with the same owner. The owner's daughter is there now and runs a tight ship. Solid breakfast spot, quick food preparation, no muss, no fuss. Love that it's still here with how much the city is changing. read more

Made to order simple breakfast done nice. Waitress are real laid back but quick and friendly. Corned beef hash was everything. It's more likely something out of a can but it just tasted out of this world. Same thing with the eggs. Easily some of the best I've had in South Florida. All (most) meals are under $10 and although it has seating inside most seemed to call in orders and pick up. The scariest thing about this place is parking and just getting to the location. Went to this restaurant for breakfast with family. My nephew had been telling me about this place for a while and we decided to stop in. I ordered sausage, corn beef hash, eggs and hash browns... other in my party ordered pancakes, waffles, and a breakfast sandwich which was white toast with eggs and sausage. From the outside you would never know all the flavorful goodness that comes from here. It's in a dirty plaza in not the best area of North Miami. There is nothing attractive about the outside of this mom and pop style restaurant, but foodies like myself knows better than to turn away. Old and I had some chicken strips, fries and a coke to go (you know, bc i'm going to the gym later). Not much you can do here as far as quality and taste goes.
