Tomatoes and cheese were so fresh and tasty and the schnitzel was wonderful... Not enough good things to say about the amazing strudel..... Nothing like having apple strudel in Germany. The beer garden is self-service, which works incredibly well given the huge crowds they serve. Even on a weeknight, it was packed, but the service moved quickly and efficiently. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd hope for from a Munich biergarten--lively, relaxed, and filled with locals. Its location away from the main tourist areas gives it a more authentic feel. A great spot for Bavarian food, beer, and a lively local beer garden experience.

Even getting the check was a struggle--we eventually had to get up and go to a counter ourselves. It felt like the staff had little interest in actually serving the customers. The pricing is very fair and the portion sizes are large. They have a giant drink menu as well but I chose the lager our waiter recommended and loved it, so much so that I got two. For my dinner, I chose the sausage combo plate, which was a mix of four different sausages and honestly, each of them was great. I especially like the spicy one, but, I ate all four of them pretty quickly. This place is very casual, but also very lively and a fun place to stop in when in Munich.
