A few months ago, I came home to my water heater making a loud and unusual noise. I don't normally walk back to the laundry room where it's located, but this time I did. I noticed there was standing water piled up in about 1/3 of the room. As I walked through the hallway, water was squishing out from underneath the wood floor planks. I was crushed. I'm normally a very self-sufficient (and proud of it!) person who doesn't ask for or accept help, even with home projects. I knew I had to reach out to professionals, or else I'd risk mold growth and other scary situations. That's when a friend told me about Servpro. Will kept in constant contact with me, letting me know when the water mitigation crew would be arriving, picking up equipment from my house, etc. He even arranged for shoes of mine that got soaked in the hall closet to be professionally cleaned. When it was time to rebuild, I was introduced to Ryan Goodrich, who managed the rest of the plan. This was the fun part where I got to choose new floors, which I had to be careful not to get out of hand "going all hgtv" on Ryan. He was super patient with me and was sure to let me know what was best for my home. With both Will and Ryan's help, I felt the stress fade away. It felt more like a friend was helping me get my house back in order. Their motto "Like it never even happened" is so true, except that I'd add to it that you'll end up with a better situation than before. My new floors are beautiful, and sure beat the ugly builder-grade floors that I had previously. I'm so thankful I called Servpro of Norcross! Let me start this off by saying that I don't usually post reviews. But in this case the work that was done on my house was so bad that I have to let others know to beware. I hired them in 2019 based on my insurance's recommendation after my downstairs bathroom had water damage. They completed the demo/water removal quickly. This consisted of removing out the carpet in a bedroom next to the bathroom, the vanity in the bathroom and a tall cabinet next to the bathroom. We were still dealing with all the paperwork for the reconstruction part when Covid happened so we waited on starting the work. Well, fast-forward 6 months and my upstairs bathroom kicks the bucket. So, we had them come out again to do the water removal part/demo for that bathroom and the ceiling of the garage underneath. (side note: the pic with the toilet in the tub. That toilet sat there for 2 years before I finally had to order a Bagster and me and my family took it out. These people were in and out of my house for almost a year and a half and it was never removed no matter how many times I requested it "because they weren't told to remove it") When it finally came time for them to work on the bathrooms I had to become my own foreman since almost every person who came into my house had no idea what the previous workers had completed, what exactly they were supposed to complete, and most definitely didn't know how to prep for the next stage of the work (as displayed by the number of times these workers had to come back and re-do the work or make "adjustments" because someone messed up earlier). Sometimes a worker would even leave without doing anything because the work done before wasn't completed in a way that they can do their part. The person who was in charge of my project would come by, however, he spent most of the time talking to the workers about the latest "big deal" he landed, or the massive reno he was managing for a hotel, or some expensive type of item he ordered for some mansion. It became clear that because I was stuck with what insurance would pay and the small loan I was able to take out that I wasn't high on the priority list. Now, a year and a half later and this is where my two bathrooms stand: 1) Mold in my downstairs bathroom from where they "repurposed" the cabinet and some of the vanity. (I was told that they couldn't put in anything new unless I was willing to pay to have all the pipes re-routed) 2) The tiles in my master bath are loose that they move sometimes when you step on them. 3) The shower stall leaks when you take a shower from the 1-inch size hole they left when assembling the shower. 4) When the toilet clogs...so does my shower, cause they didn't fix the crap plumbing the previous owner put in. Instead, they made it worse by shortening some of the pipes and "making it work" when a previous installer messed up the plumbing. 5) They didn't install any of the waterproof sheet rock (that I paid for). Found this out when I got my siding fixed and you could see the sunlight coming through the shower wall. There's even more things to list but those are all the major items. Essentially...I paid 15k for two bathrooms that I now have to have fixed a year later. read more

My issue was a leaking refrigerator, which damaged the wood floor and got into the wall. In my case, costs were covered by home insurance (after deductible) and they recommended I work with the local ServPro (though I was free to choose my vendor). In my case, I had to first had the remediation team dry out the floor and area for a few days to make sure there was no mold. After that process, we had to move out contents so the entire floor could be done (and also some painting). Yes, the scope was extensive, but my 18-year old wood floors needed a refresh anyway. I can't promise your experience will go quickly: and my priority was not speed but getting the right (intended) result. This scope of project, by necessity, requires teams with different specialties. And yes there were hiccups on both billing and service: but the project manager worked with me to the satisfaction of both sides. So with all the rain mid-November, my basement flooded and I started panicking. My insurance company recommended a small company but when they arrived they let me know they couldn't do much other than set up some fans, and I might want to call a different company, and Servpro was who they recommended. I called up Servpro and within 30 minutes had a gentleman by the name of Will Dunn contact me, and make plans to be there first thing the next morning. He developed a plan, and within an hour had an entire crew (led by Devon, also great) there setting up equipment, fans, working on the dryout, removing damaged insulation and drywall, and they were there every single day for 4 days. He had a dumpster delivered immediately on the first day, stayed in constant contact with me, and had a crew of 5 set up to help me move damaged items into the dumpster, and catalog each item along the way. Additionally, he worked directly with my insurance adjuster to find out what was and was not covered so to maximize what Servpro could do to help me through this process. He was available by phone or text at any point and was extremely responsive. I cannot EVER imagine calling another company at this point, this was the absolute best customer service and execution of any company I've ever worked with. With the heavy rain of 11/12, my basement flooded. I reached an operator at ServePro late in the evening. Will then called me back within ten minutes and was at my home the next day to assess the situation and make his recommendations. He could not have been more helpful and courteous, even crawling under bushes to try and identify where the water could be coming in. He was also very fair in waiting another day until the rain stopped rather than starting the dry-out process only to have to do it all over again. Devon and his assistant were the team assigned to the clean-up at my house and were also very courteous and careful with my belongings. Paneling had to be removed to get rid of wet insulation and I was surprised at how carefully they removed and stored the paneling so that it can possibly be re-used, rather than just tearing it out. Devon continued to come, even over the weekend, to check the humidity levels and continue the clean up.
