Seemed ok until I started to question the quality of work ($20k) and the tone changed quickly. The owner became VERY egotistical and would not take responsibility for the issues in question. He never came to look at the job until I pointed out this issue but at this point the issue was covered up and he didn't peel back the layers to see for himself. Because I am not a professional in this area but my gut felt strongly I was right, I had a third-party inspect the quality and as I expected it was not up to par and therefore I had to pay someone else to fix it. He was professional and courteous, he explained what they'd be doing in our house and broke down cost while he was there. No surprises! We recently contacted NoMold Atlanta for a duct cleaning at our residence. From the initial phone call to the day that the service was completed we were totally impressed with the company and the personnel. Due to the current covid-19 issues; we were reluctant and actually cancelled the initial appointment. This company is horrible. I spent $17000 on remediation and repairs. That's right seventeen thousand and I have had to have several companies come in since and fix the "work" that No Mold Atlanta did on my house. The office staff is clueless with how to deal with insurance companies. Let me also mention that they use subcontractors, of which I was not informed. Ironically my house was left unsecure and I am also no longer in possession of my jewelry nor my grandmother's jewelry. There was no forced entry to my house; a window was left unlocked. J.D. Ortega, the owner, said it was a "coincidence". And, I have no legal recourse against them for their shoddy workmanship or anything else. Please, find a different company to use. Sellers brought in No Mold to remediate attic mold. I am not a client of No Mold, but I was disappointed by how cursory they were. They may have only been hired to do a surface level cleaning (on which they did a mediocre job), but it would have been helpful if they had discovered the source of the mold (from a shower fan that had become disconnected and an abundance of cladosporium in the ductwork). Still, not what they were hired to do. The owner offered to come back and look at the mold they missed in the remediation, so there's that. NoMoldAtlanta determined presence of mold under the sink and a gave a proposal to remove the mold for $950. I disagreed and brought in my own expert. I called No Mold Atlanta to work on a mildew problem in my laundry room. I was really looking for a company who would do more than just replace the damaged wood and insulation, but also rebuild my laundry room which was never fully dry-walled by the previous owner. So glad to get exactly what I was looking for. JD recommended redoing the plumbing as well - wasn't something I really wanted to deal with or pay for at that time - but he was right. If I had just redone the walls I would not have been able to properly fix the piping issue later. Customer service was great - plumber and contractors all did a top-notch job. Warning, Warning!! These guys are terrible! JD the owner is the worst! I hired them to remediate the mold based on there professional guidance. Choose to do what they recommended entirely. I tore rooms apart to gain better access. I spent 20k on the total renovation at a rental house. As soon as it got warm my new tenant were getting sick. I then paid a guy to test levels they recommended and deemed safe, then the next tenant got sick as well. This put me in 2 more very dangerous situitations. I have emailed, called, etc...no response. First, the company said they would have the work done from a Thursday to a Saturday. We went out of town and came back Sunday and the house was wrecked. The smell of Pine Sol was suffocating and the HUGE air ventilator was still in the dining room. All of our clothes, towels, blankets were shoved into garbage bags. Now we were told there was mold on some fabric things so we were aware they would have to bag some of it and then we would need to wash it with borax. However, they just bagged everything. Two rooms had no mold but they bagged everything anyway. We're talking at least 125-150 hangers of clothes and garments that were nowhere near the mold mixed in with clothes that did have mold on them. They contaminated clean clothes and we have been doing laundry for days and days. We still have at least 10 more bags to do, not to mention all the clothes we have to take to the dry cleaners. They went through EVERYTHING - all drawers, closets, cabinets. They leave nothing untouched - privacy violated - and they do not put anything back where it was found. They came back on Monday to "finish the job" but when we got home the huge fan was still there. To top that off we had cleaned and aired out the master bedroom so we would have one clean mold free place. They ended up bagging the laundry we had done the night before and piled the bags on our newly made bed, forcing us to wash everything again. The worst part was the lack of communication. We didn't know if it was safe for us to be there, had they addressed the mold on the furniture, when they would be out for good. Use this company at your own risk. read more

No Mold Atlanta recently performed a mold remediation last week in our crawl space. It had lots of boxes with stuff we mostly forgot about stored in there. Kevin, Lisa and (another gentleman which I can't recall his name) did their due diligence with cleaning the items stored, getting rid of things that were not salvageable and getting the mold out of the crawl space. Terrible! Took on a job they could not complete. Left the house in worse shape than it was before they started work on it. Sloppy job with containment - just looks like they hanged some trash bags from the ceiling attached with tape. Took containment down - moldy dust everywhere causing allergy symptoms. Came in the next day said protocol was not followed, ran away saying they can't finish the job and took the air filter with them that was supposed to have been running for two days with the containment up as was originally promised. Called the office - they backtracked and said they did everything the way they were supposed to and it's "my word against theirs". Guess I should have recorded everything on video. Terrible customer service, unsafe practices, irresponsible in taking on jobs they can't get to the finish line, inconsiderate of the residents and their safety. Pointing their fingers at one another and changing their story to cover up their mistakes. Absolutely do not use these people. read more
