I typically do wait a little bit after service to write reviews, just in case something happens. And something that leads to me clicking extra hard on that 5th star... well, the owner reached out for a review, and reminded me once after and said he wouldn't pester me with it again. And sure enough he didn't. So that was cool. But to the real review.... my rental had some tenants who didn't report a leak for months apparently, since they were hiding a cat and didn't want me to come and fix things and see the cat. Long story short, I had to tear down 2 of the 4 walls of a bathroom and an entire wall of pantry cabinets in the kitchen on the other side of the bathroom. Mold was completely black! Needless to say, I really wanted to have this fixed ASAP! And of all the "911" or "emergency" or "fix it right away" type of remediation companies... they all did something similar except 911 Restoration. They all urgently booked a "free estimate", then take a day to send a quote. Then almost all were weeks out to schedule it except for two who can start "immediately". However, they would have to do all these "tests" to get started. 911 wasn't the cheapest, but their quoting agent was very nice, thorough, and most professional sounding. Like, he could've been a sales guy for jet engines not just another contractor. Felt very formal and courteous. In any case, when they say they can start right away, they did. Came out and started demoing the next day after I decided to go with them and sent them a deposit. And while they weren't the cheapest, they did do a bit more than the other guys (had them all itemize what they'd do) and for the common work, they were willing to price match it and did a discount on other areas where they could. They weren't too far off to begin with. Some folks tacked on contingency charges and it felt like hidden fees. 911's quote was straight forward. In the end, when you want something like this addressed, you want it done right. They not only did it right, but felt confident of their work and both the project manager and the workers were all courteous and professional. If there's a lesson to be learned....better declare that friggin cat. Kiss that deposit good bye! *sigh*

We just found out that Victor who was sub contracted by 911 had done a bad job on our door which…read morewas replaced. When we pointed out that the replaced door needed to be painted to the color scheme it was originally done on the smaller door which they replaced. Victor had completely gone ballistic on us but reluctantly agreed to paint the door. This was to be done and not new thing added to his scope of work. He simply slapped on a single coat of paint, no primer no protection. We are in the process of painting the entire door again as the paint is now peeling and was informed by the team working on it now that the priming and protective coating was never applied. I am really disappointed as I was sure they took pride in their work, which is clearly not the case.

After I caught Chris red handed of not completing the work as described in the contract, trying to pocket over $4000 in the insurance claim, he walked out when I asked he apply this money for a kitchen counter upgrade. Instead he told me the granite would cost another $3200 with the $4000 credit! I have a very small kitchen. When Darwin returned the garage remote he stooped so low as to change the 3rd dip switch so the garage remote wouldn't open the garage door until I corrected it. The owner uses his Diamond Bar license on the contract. Very unscrupulous! They also lied about hiring an engineer to approve the reconstruction of a 3 layer 2 hour fire protection kitchen wall. Per Calif state license general contractor are suppose to pull city permits and they also did not do that! They also will attempt to either reuse demolition material from your home other from other jobs. Your insurance agreement is NEW. When they walk out they will also give you a revised bill with prices 300-400% more than the good faith cost they agreed to with your insurance adjuster. The quality of their work is horrendous! Can't cut a mitre cut, over half of the drywall holes they had to repair due to repair-routing water pipes you could distinctly see the entire rectangles where they attempted to patch, they mis-measured several mortar boards or replacement cabinet base units. And their fix was to inset a floating inch wood piece assuming owner would not see this upon walk though Chris also videoed what he alleged as properly measured and level mortar board. But his team never nailed it down and pre-walkthrough the mis-measured cut is questioned plus still not nailed down as he sends me videos of partial views of one end then a separate view of the opposite end. He simply shifted the wood to make the false claims. If it was done correctly he should have nailed it down the same day! Total fools, thieves and unscrupulous to the bone! Also need to point out that $7000 of the repair was cabinet damaged by ServPro demolition team. So ServPro should have been responsible for those repairs against their insurance and not applied to my AAA insurance claim. And the last text message I received from Chris Cruz was he was losing money on this job he is walking away from. Ask for this lost from your corporate insurance coverage.

Nathan was very apologetic about the delay and his team worked hard to make sure the job was completed by late afternoon. He even offered me $100 off because of the inconvenience, although I ultimately chose to pay the full amount. A few days later, Nathan came back to follow up on the work and investigate further. He suspected that the water damage might extend to the other side of the wall, where we had previously experienced a roof leak. He was right--there was water damage underneath the baseboards/studs in the adjoining bedroom. Nathan sent his team back out a second time to remediate the other room. It was a long and involved process to properly clean and treat the area, but I'm very glad he took the extra time to investigate instead of simply considering the original job finished. Although the initial delay was frustrating, Nathan really made up for it by being thorough, responsive, and committed to making sure the underlying problem was addressed.
