We had an issue that went through our insurance company. For the mitigation portion of the job A-Emergency was quick to respond and presumably did a fine job. The issue is that they refused to do the repairs, which was supposed to happen several weeks ago. Part of the reason we selected them is because they supposedly handle both mitigation and repairs so we wouldn't have to find a plumber, carpenter, and floor installer ourselves. They kept putting us off though. First, the supervisor was supposed to inspect the mitigation and take measurements, but we were told he had been out sick for a couple of weeks with Covid-19. When we talked to him on the phone he claimed he'd only been out sick for one day. We didn't feel comfortable having him in our home so the company sent out someone else to take measurements. Now, after weeks of waiting for the job to be completed, the company called and said they don't have time because they've been busy due to flooding, looting, and fires happening in the Chicago area. What kind of company handles clients this way? You stop mid-job because other jobs come along? I own a small business and I cannot imagine leaving one job to start another one.
