Service One was assigned by American Home Shield after I requested a second opinion on my HVAC claim. The first contractor said my blower motor failed due to a power surge, which made no sense to me because my home has a whole-house surge protector, there were no storms, and no other appliances were damaged. The Service One technician inspected the motor, took photos, and told me he saw no evidence of surge damage. He also inspected and photographed my whole-house surge protector. The work order he left simply stated that the blower motor had failed. However, American Home Shield later denied my claim, stating Service One reported the failure was caused by a power surge and that no surge protector was found. When I questioned the discrepancy, I was then told the denial was due to "biological growth buildup," which was a completely different explanation. I also received very different repair estimates--about $1,800 from the first contractor, $3,500 from Service One, while an independent HVAC contractor replaced the blower motor for $550. My concern is the inconsistent diagnosis and conflicting documentation used to determine my warranty claim. read more

Terrible. Someone from Service One came out through American Home Shield and LIED TO MY FACE claiming we needed a new AC unit or, at the very least, we needed to replace some kind of valve that would cost us $3,000 under our home warranty. I got a second opinion the next day and someone came out and FIXED OUR PROBLEM for $120. This was a month ago and still no issues. These people are crooks. Don't listen to them. The more they tell you they're going to be "straight with you," the more you should run. Terrible business. I don't know how they sleep at night with all the lies. I hope anyone who uses them is smart enough to get a second opinion because their assessment was complete and total bulls***. read more

Service1 was top notch. We hired them to service two A/C units when we bought our new house in May 2025. They worked well with our home warranty company. Then we hired them to install a new condenser on the downstairs A/C. They were able to figure out why our master bedroom was unusually hot (a problem no one had pinpointed in the 20+ year lifespan of the home). We continued to be impressed, so we also hired them to run a new line from the A/C to one of the rooms. And finally they blew some new insulation in the attic for us. We feel that we got a very good value for the money we spent. We will continue using this company. read more

My AC was running 6-7 degrees higher than set and my home insurance assigned the work to Service One. I was contacted within an hour and scheduled an appt the next day. Kenny, the HVAC tech, clearly explained the problem and set up a temporary "fix" until he returned two days later with the needed part to fix the problem. He also flushed the lines and gave me tips on the best product to flush the drain line.
