The worst company I have found. Jeff said we needed a part for our dryer and they couldn't get it. Turns out we don't need that at all, just need a belt. He said we should buy a new dryer. He replaced a part on the dishwasher and it worked once for him but not for us. I had a tech from Valley Appliance say the problem is he didn't attach the dishwasher to the cabinet. My Bosch dishwasher stopped draining the rinse cycle. I would have to scoop out almost 2 liters of soapy rinse water which was not easy to do. My concern is that I may need to replace the unit, but with the supply chain disruption getting a new dishwasher was likely going to be a long lead time. I called Bosch and they gave me 3 certified Bosch service dealers. I called the first 2 on the list and left messages. Neither returned my call. Now I am down to the last name and my last hope and my fingers are crossed! I called Service One and someone actually answered the phone. The person was very nice. I explained the issue I was having and she knew exactly what I was referring to but would need to send out a service person to officially diagnose the problem and, order the part that was needed. I was worried that she would say they couldn't get someone out for a month but to my surprise, that wasn't the case. (This is during COVID when everyone was getting paid to stay home). The lead time was only a few days. I needed an early appointment since I go to work at noon. She was able to put my time slot in the first appointment which was stellar! The service person (Matt) was on time and even called 15 minutes prior to his arrival. He diagnosed the problem right away, and turns out I may not even need any parts. I wasn't operating the unit correctly so it wasn't draining. This potentially saved me $800.00 for a new dishwasher that I would have to wait 3 months to get. I would highly recommend this company. While Matt was here he also tweaked a little issue with my U-line Wine Chiller and didn't even charge me. I love working with reliable, honest Mom n Pop shops. Did a diagnosis and order the part. Took awhile but they kept us in the loop. The dishwasher part was installed and it is working great.

My old (2003) refrigerator had stopped blowing cold air but the motor was still running. The technician, Austin found that the relay switch had failed and needed to be replaced. However, he also found that the copper tubing had turned green or oxidized and that meant that the refrigerant was leaking. He told me that even if he fixed the relay switch, at $300, the refrigerator might fail in a week, a month or a year... who knows. I decided, with the knowledge that the machine was failing, to not repair the relay switch and to look for a new refrigerator. Austin suggested that since Memorial Day is coming up, that I might get by with a cheap used refrigerator or a small refrigerator until then because appliances often go on sale during holidays. He did get the refrigerator to work temporarily... when the relay switch will go out again is anyone's guess but it is inevitable. read more

Had Mat come over for repair my washing machine, replace a dispenser for washing liquid, as didn't not open all the way, also has maybe something in baffle, he was here trying to open the baffle for over half hour, couldn't remove to repair and left, he made sure the water drain properly and their was no leak. Now the washing machine make humming sound when it running. Called to complain, and was told nothing to do with them, and to call washing machine manufacturer. read more

We have been dealing with Service One regarding our Fisher Paykel dishwasher and the experience has been anything but positive. The only good thing so far is the technician, Tony. The receptionist is rude and demeaning, my wife refuses to continue any dialog with her. I, like another reviewer, was assigned Service One through my home warranty company. All I can say is that Pam in scheduling service saved Christmas! We had renters in our cabin over the Christmas holiday and Pam worked a miracle and scheduled our oven repair the same day as the request came in. She went above and beyond in making it possible and the guests enjoyed their Christmas Eve turkey! Service One has also been used in the past and we always have had great service. After buying a 14 yr old home in Truckee, several kitchen appliances started to fail. Fortunately Service One Appliance or Reno and Tom our service tech were able to fix everything one after the other with the assistance of the Old Republic Home Warranty. Most equipment required two visits, one to assess the problem and then a return visit to bring required parts. They fixed the frig door, ice maker, oven thermostat and heating element, dishwasher and gas burner regulator. I would give zero if I could. Worst service ever. Jeff is totally incompetent. After he came to my house without a mask telling me (with his medical degree from?) that it was good to get Covid to become immune, he said he couldn't find anything wrong with my dishwasher (which leaks about 1/3-1/2 of the time). So he decided to randomly change out some parts even though he said it wouldn't fix the problem. It didn't. So the next time it leaked I took videos. He came back and basically told me that nothing was wrong with the dishwasher and he accused me of doing something to make it leak. Then he said he would tell the warranty company he couldn't fix it (because he couldn't find anything wrong with it) so it would get replaced. Next I get a call saying they want to switch out more parts (after he's already told me twice that won't fix the problem). Cynthia and Pam in the office are both rude and unprofessional. They have no people skills whatsoever. I asked for another opinion since Jeff has been there three times and still says nothing's wrong and the warranty company tells me there is no one else in Tahoe to diagnose the problem. My microwave went out and had a technician come out to look diagnose the problem, $81 to diagnose, and repair the fuse $129.I also had him look at my water dispenser on my refrigerator, $81. The verdict, the refrigerator was not repairable because part was discontinued. $292 for these items. This would have been acceptable and the technician thought he fixed the problem with the microwave, but it broke again. Long story short it was a problem with the door causing the fuse to blow. New diagnosis I needed a new door and the door was discontinued. Only option I have is to buy a new microwave and install it. So I'm out $300 dollars and I need to buy a new microwave from another company for $350 and install it for $150. I think the right thing for Service One appliance to do is refund me back the charge of $129, since this repair didn't fix the problem. read more

I contacted this company for an estimate for damages occurred during a refrigerator install. Nobody mentioned a $99 fee when I scheduled the estimate. It wasn't until the estimate was done that I learned about the fee. The only reason I paid for the estimate was insurance was to pay for it. Now insurance denied the claim and I have to pay for a very high fee. I remember a day when estimates were free. Be ready to pay up if you use them. read more

Our Home Warranty company assigned Service One to repair our stove and also washing machine (on separate times). I was nervous from the lousy reviews and that sometimes home warranty companies don't use the best companies. I've had the total opposite experience from some reviews. Service One called within a few hours of them being assigned by the Home Warranty Company. Our 30-year old stove has to be replaced - they amazingly fixed the burners but the fan is broken and there are no replacement parts because it is so old. I called Pam at Service One to talk to her about the replacement that my home warranty is going to give me. They do not do the install for home warranties but I had some questions as the stove/oven they're replacing our old one with as there is a cabinet lower than the current stove so the new one won't fit without cutting it out. She was so nice and said that if I needed help with measurements she could send one of her workers who is in the area to come help me out to see what will have to be done to make it fit. We have been waiting for over 2 weeks to have dishwasher repaired now and again was told it would be another week before anybody could come out. They work for the home warranty company American Home Shield, which is equally as bad. I asked to speak to manager and she confirmed she was the manager. I schedule an appointment with them a month in advance. Service One called the night before to confirm the appointment. I specifically arranged my work schedule to be available for them and they did not show. Rather than offer an apology, they stated if you don't answer your phone right before the technician arrives, "you are not home" and therefore they don't come. As you can see by the reviews unfortunately there is more bad service than good service. Pam, the supposed owner of this company, is completely unprofessional, rude and has no inclination to help anyone. I suppose the first phone call with them should have been my indicator that there was going to be problems. I spend 20 minutes on the phone going over my issue and repeating my address and contact information multiple times. On the day of service, it was nearing 12, the timeframe that the tech should have showed up by and noticed a phone call from them 3:30PM the prior day asking for my number on the street I lived. I hadn't noticed because I was hosting a party, but I called and explained what i had gone thru to even book and that no one books an appt without a street number. She emphatically denied that I had spoken to a male and she emphatically stated that her service tech had called me this AM. When I told her he hadn't she became belligerent and said she was going to cancel the appt. I told her I could fax my call log to her, she said she didn't want it. And again said she was cancelling my appt. She set the tone for the call, she amp'd up the call and she told me she didnt' care that I would be taking this to the company she was providing services for. Now, if that is an owner who is focused on customer service, growing their business and providing a workplace that is free from drama, count me out with dealing with them. This is the rudest customer service I have had in a long time. I online scheduled an appointment through Kitchen-aid; time and date. This company called and left a message simply saying, "call back". Then, a second phone call with the wrong information. When I called, the woman repeatedly told me "Kitchen-aid does not do their scheduling and I should have called back". I thought I had a time and date and planned accordingly. Then, this woman berated me again and asked if I wanted to keep that appointment since I did not call back. Had a fridge that wasn't working. . . called these folks on a Friday morning thinking they wouldn't be able to get over until Monday. You know what that means for all that food! Elvis, the excellent technician showed up on time, diagnosed our ice maker as worn out. Elvis replaced the ice maker and wraped up the appointment in 30 minutes. It doesn't get much better than this. Service One is contracted by American Home Shield Warranty....they came to fix both my stove and dishwasher....and had to come out multiple times due to wrong parts ordered...finally got the stove fixed but the dishwasher was not only NOT fixed, it ended up flooding my kitchen and ruining hardwood floors....I've tried to contact AHS and cannot get anyone to respond....this is totally UNACCEPTABLE.... read more

Definitely would not recommend that business to anyone. Even just diagnostic which is $90 charge is waste of money with them, save yourself a time, money and energy and find the better place that has rating more than 1.5 star review . Read all the reviews about them and that is absolutely the truth, I wish I would have done it before hiring them to get the diagnostic done on my refrigerator, just simply thinking that any Specialists could diagnose the problem. The technician showed up on time and after 20-30 minutes checking my refrigerator told me that it's not worth of fixing it because the compressor is going out and it's just going to cost me around $900 to fix it. And he said it's normal for 7 years old LG, that it's about average what the new refrigerators last nowadays. So I trusted him and went shopping for a new refrigerator and at the place where I bought it the salesman which is not a Master Tech Service guy told me that LG have 10 year warranty on the parts, I called LG of America and they confirmed that my refrigerator is covered under 10 year warranty for all the parts especially compressor, and they even ship it for free to the place that would fix it and replace it. So I called service One customer service to confirm that, and ask them why did MasterTech comes take your money and does a diagnostic and cannot even provide you all the options so we could check it out and save ourselves a little money, on what rudely been answered that their technicians are doing only estimates and they don't know the warranties on the refrigerators, ( so my question who should know, you calling the people that service appliances and fix them). After what I've asked if I will get the parts and they will just do the labor, I was still quoted the same amount of money like I was getting the first time $900 even if I provide the brand new compressor. After a few more questions the manager said that I should hire somebody else to do the the labor. My husband scheduled an appointment to have our dryer and washer checked out. After checking out the appliances the tech told me the washing machine was fine and he thought the dryer needed a timer. He then wrote me out a bill for $150. I asked if he had fixed the dryer and he said no. When I questioned the bill he said, "We can't come here for free." I agreed but said $150 isn't free and nothing is fixed. He said that the office girls had told my husband about the charge, which I knew wasn't true because my husband would NEVER say yes to such an astronomical fee. I didn't know what to do because my husband was unreachable at work so I paid him and he walked out without a thank you. When my husband called to confirm that he had never been told of the fee, the owner refused to listen to a word he had to say. She kept cutting him off and screaming at him that they couldn't come for free. I have never heard of ANYONE charging so much and not fixing the problem. These people are crooks and I would never use them because they can't even speak calmly to try to iron out issues. Some of their ads do say something about a service charge but our phone book does not. We canceled our payment to these hideous scammers and the screaming woman called back to say she is suing us (for services never rendered.) Now I am contacting the Better Business Bureau because this has to be illegal. BEWARE!!!! read more
