They decided to turn our upstairs bathtub into a pool and swim. I didn't realize they had left the water running and gone to sleep. Anyways, I heard water in the middle of the night and noticed all 3 levels of our home was flooded. I freaked out and looked on yelp for a water cleaning company. Of all the 24/7 companies I called flood doctor was the only one to pick up. They sent people over right away and Literally worked for 20 hours straight. I didn't even have to interrupt my parents vacation. When they came home and I told them how bad it was they didn't even believe me. I had to show them pictures and videos. Our house was cleaner and looked better then before they left. Best part was that I knew nothing about how insurance policies work, but they took over that process and handled all the paperwork from me. I am so thankful those other companies didn't pick up. Flood doctor was incredible and I am so happy I picked them.

From the owner to the project support to admin and all the on-site workers I've interacted with have been kind, wonderfully helpful and experts at their jobs. The value of the work performed was excellent and I'm thankful for their responsiveness. The project did drag out longer than we first anticipated but in the end, it all worked out great and I'd rather have the good quality work than have it be done fast and haphazardly. Special shout-out to Michelle Plummer, who was l understanding and patient with me, even when I wasn't the easiest stressed-out person to deal with in the moment. What an angel! Thanks, ARS Team!!

He was responsive via text and able to schedule a team to come out the next day, which is exactly what you want to hear when you encounter water + mold damage in your home. He also helped answer questions related to reimbursement from a 3rd party (i.e., builder or insurance), which relieved some uncertainty and anxiety. His experienced crew lead also asked me at the start of the job if I would need to work with insurance, then took extra photos in case we needed them for reimbursement documentation. While on-site, his team was professional, communicative, and got an extensive job done in just 1 day. I appreciated that they set up a containment, showed me pictures as the work unfolded, and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. They sent someone to pick up the industrial fans + de-humidifier on day 4 or 5. The final invoice clearly laid out all items and their costs.

We talked through the issue the best we could over the phone, he triaged the situation given the info available and said he could have someone out within a few hours. Sasha, the tech. who arrived on time, did an excellent job thoroughly assessing the damage, showed me the results, and explained what he recommends going forward, while also speaking to insurance process/dynamics so I could make an informed decision. Sasha put down floor drying pads, dehumidifier, and fans, and got me up and running. Came back and checked on equipment for the next 3 days with no issue. Also 2 days into this situation my wife went into labor and Rick and team were very understanding and made sure regardless of how long equipment was set up that we paid a fair price for which services were needed. Can not say enough good things about Rick and his team, they were professional, thorough, empathetic, and honest. Their work saved me thousands of dollars in flooring and other sheetrock repairs. This was followed by one of their expert teams coming in and cleaning up the mess, removing the ruined kitchen and laundry room floors, as well as part of the basement ceiling and walls, and drying the entire place out. We could not have been more pleased with the workmanship and the professionalism of the team.  They were courteous and thoughtful and worked quickly, safely and took great care with our belongings.  They really appreciated what we were going through and were incredibly helpful throughout the process.  The office personnel, especially Tia, were so incredibly helpful as well, working to get estimates and paperwork together and even contacting our insurance company for us to make sure everything was taken care of. We are so grateful ServPro was there, we have no idea how we would have gotten through this without them.  Not only would I recommend them to others, I do routinely, as they are simply fantastic.

They were extremely courteous to my wife, my kids and me. Great guys. Would use that team any day for water restoration. That interaction was the shortest part of the job, hence the low rating. The restoration and office experience is an entire different story... Before I go into the bad, I will say everyone who entered my home was kind and respectful. Now the not so good: -Promises go unfulfilled. -told that we would finish in a week. It took almost 3 weeks -a team was supposed to show up on a daily basis by 8:30am. They showed up around 9:30/10:00am. Sometimes a few people, other times 1 person. One of the workers said he was taking vacation soon and the manager told us that person had to leave on a family emergency out of country. In my experience, emergencies are usually a "get up and go" type of instance vs something planned. -work was left unfinished and when I called the office they said "the walkthrough was completed" -We also took a railing down after a portion of the wall was painted (they still had to put on more coats of paint). They chose not to paint the area where the railing meets the wall. They said "oh, I thought you were putting this back up." We were told they would return to fix. Got a call that day asking to have it moved back until the following Tuesday... never showed, never called, nothing. I guess it was my fault since I went ahead and paid before it was fixed. - Attention to detail -many things were considered "done" and we had to point out holes that were not filled before painting, quarter round molding not nearly flush, holes in grout, etc. This would not have been fixed unless we pointed it out. For painting, these guys don't even tape. sloppy job on a number of corners. -Payment/Office interaction. - gave an upfront payment with a credit card. No issues, no fees - the day the job was finished, we were told if we wanted to pay with credit card again, we would have a 3.5% fee. No notification of this until the day of. Nothing written on payment terms in the contract, just a "by the way, this is happening now".. also, if they had finished on time, this would not have been a problem because this new policy was implemented after the fact. Talked to Steven about it who was very unprofessional. I told him about the delay being the issue and if they had finished on time, I would have still been able to pay. He even tried to blame me fore the delay. "Oh, you requested more work" (the promise of when they would finish occurred after the work was requested). Then he said they were waiting on the insurance adjuster to approve the additional work. Funny, the insurance adjuster called me asking where the update was from ServPro as she wanted to make sure this was taken care of quickly (I used servpro because they are a preferred vendor of the insurance I use so communication would be direct. He also said "we were waiting on your sliding glass to be delivered" (something they forgot to remove on their template contract from another customer...we had no sliding glass being done). Garrison at least had apathy, was apologetic and said they are working on how to inform people properly. Might not seem like a big deal but I don't like providing my bank account number. It's much more of a pain to fix than a credit card if it is used inappropriately. I told them I would take my time paying and Steven gave me more grief. I said how do they expect me to pay with a check if the insurance company has not even paid me. Turns out they didn't even tell the insurance company they had finished so the funds could be released! Just adding in, seems like I got a response sayiNg I should call about questions I have. I actually voiced all that was wrong. Kind of funny I keep finding more that is wrong. For instance, in the middle of a kitchen tile there is a piece of plastic or glue sticking out of the grout and spots that weren't even painted. Kind of funny that a walk through the house with my pregnant wife who just wanted the job done is a "final sign off" that the work is completed.

I have provided images of what currently still exists in our home, that my husband showed the last technician to come and also took video and photos, yet the response we received was there was no mold present.
