I had a flood in my basement three weeks ago after we got hit with a pretty bad rain storm here in Mclean. We have a fully furnished basement which is about 3000 square feet. We placed a call to flood doctor around 2am and they gave us a 30min-1 hour window and told us someone would call 10 mins before arrival. Sure enough, around 3 am a project manager by the name of Dave gave us a call and showed up with a crew and a few pumps to start extracting water from our basement. Two of the technicians went to work right away using the pumps. The other 3 crew members plus Dave started to move things out of our basement into the garage and other parts of the house. All in all it took them about 7 hours on night one. They came back the next day and stared to remove all the damaged carpet and padding from our floor and proceeded to install large dehumidifiers and fans to start the drying process. We were constantly updated on the day to day activities via email from Frank in the office. We were also told what documentation our insurance company would need in order to process our claim quickly. We've never dealt with a flood and Frank was more then helpful guiding us through these treacherous waters. Excuse the pun. After fully drying our basement they proceeded to rebuild everything. We got to pick all new paint colors and new carpet for the basement. It felt more like a remodeling project then a disaster. They quality of work was spectacular. Both me and my husband and our 3 daughters agree that the basement looks much better now then it did before the flood. We were kept updated on all the back and forts with the insurance company and we really felt like Frank was on our team the entire time negotiating with the insurance company on our behalf. read more

More than 5 stars!!! Unfortunately we had quite a bit of water damage at our home. Our bathroom flooded our third floor and seeped through the drywall to our second floor. I called flood Doctor and explained what happened. They were able to bring in dehumidifiers, fans, and perform an assessment on where the water was IN the walls. Our entire third floor bathroom had to be ripped out and replaced. The tile, vanity, and carpet in the third floor hallway had to be ripped out and replaced as well. On the second floor of our townhouse the drywall for our dining room, living room and electrical (fan and kitchen lights) was also effected by the water damage. We had to make an insurance claim and they worked with our insurance company every step of the way and kept us in the loop at all times. Between phone calls, texts, and many many questions they were AWESOME! No matter what time of day time of day or night (trust me I work nights) they were always able to help. Professional, punctual, reasonable and down to earth. Their website is super user friendly and up to date, it couldn't have been a better experience. I made my claim online and I got a call in less than 5 minutes. Every time I had a question and had to call them, I talked to the owner of the company ... It couldn't have been any more personable and easy breezy. In the basement of the fixer upper I'm working on, it was infested with mold. Frank and his team came in one day and ripped it out, vacuumed, sanded the spores, sprayed microban, installed air scrubbers for the airborne spores. They even educated me :). Contacted flood doctor after calling several other flood repair companies found here on yelp- two of which did not return my calls and a third who never showed up. Finally called Frank the flood doctor and his crew arrived within the hour as promised. They removed the standing water from my kitchen immediately, did thermal imaging showing me exactly where all of the water had traveled to and was hiding. They documented everything meticulously and handled everything with my insurance company making sure I was cover for it all. My wife and I are super grateful for Frank and Steve for saving the day. We just hired Flood Doctor on Ashburn to dry out our dental office and save our patient forms after a pipe break. My office staff and I are so grateful for all the hard work the Flood Doctor employees put in to make sure we were back in business. They promised to have us back up and running before the week began and they kept that promise. They had teams here working all day and overnight 24 hours a day. They used this machine that freeze-dried our paper documents and then removed all the moisture from them. I had no idea such things were possible! We didn't lose a single file. Don't trust anyone else! Flooding in the upstairs apartment resulted in major ceiling, wall and floor damage in mine. The other two companies who assessed the damage barely looked around before determining everything needed to be ripped open and the insulation needed to be replaced. Demolition. Frank suggested we try dehumidifiers and fans first, since we were in the first 24 hours. He was onsite at 7am on a Saturday morning, and when they retested on Monday, the walls and ceilings were dry. Now the apartment needs only cosmetic repairs. Very professional service. My home flooded last spring and i needed an immediate response. These guys arrived to my house two hours after I made the call. I called and Frank the owner quickly answered and began walking me through thier process. A technician arrived within a couple hours and after being walked through the problem area they quickly began to work and help me save my belongings and take pictures to document my losses for my insurance company. We had a pipe break a few months ago which flooded most of our basement. Called flood doctor at about 2am. They had their techs out to our place in about an hour. They extracted all the water, removed and disposed of the padding under our carpet and left a few fans and dehumidifiers for a couple of days. Once everything dried out they came back and installed new padding and cleaned the carpet in the entire basement. Would recommend. read more
