My new favourite service Canada location !!! Amazing for parking, perfect for the efficiency and…read moresoooo much closer than downtown!! I truly appreciate having been given a heads up about this location. I could justify having my husband wait in the car for this and I don't think anyone had ever said that about a Federal Service before. The longest we took was finding the front door to enter through. The sign faces 107 and the door is to the rear of the building. There are likely limited services available but for the majority of Service Canada needs this location will suffice. My understanding from reading previous reviews is french speakers need to visit downtown though...I am sure that will change with time though.

I paid the required fees and waited almost 6 weeks for the order. After this long wait, I received only copies titled "Registration of Death" -- not the Death Certificate I requested and paid for. The receipt only says "Vital Statistics documents" and does not clearly identify the exact item ordered. Customers should be able to see exactly what they are paying for. Because of this mistake, I lost another 6 weeks waiting for an important document that was needed much earlier. This delay created unnecessary frustration and additional problems. I contacted Registry Connect to resolve this issue, but I still need an explanation why I paid for a Death Certificate and received a different record. When customers pay for an official certificate, they should receive the correct certificate with clear communication and accurate processing.

It is one of 47, yes that's forty seven, military sites that make up CFB Edmonton, you know, that huge military base just north of town? That's not its real name. Actually it's 2550 Hectares and it's called the Steele barracks named after Sir Samuel Steele, one of the original founders of the North West Mounted Police. So a history lesson here, CFB Edmonton is the name for all 47 facilities all across town "... named after Brigadier James Currie Jefferson, who was the Commanding Officer of the Loyal Edmonton Regiment during the Second World... and is home to the Loyal Edmonton Regiment, B Squadron South Alberta Light Horse, 15 Field Ambulance, the Cadet Instructor Cadre School and 6 Intelligence Company" So there's a regiment there, horse mounted dudes, ambulances, an air cadet squadron and some spies all working out of the same building, *raised eyebrow* Awesome! My son often has to be picked up or dropped off here for major trips within the cadets, this time it's for summer camp ( which he applied, won and gets free bussing there and back, all under CDN military supervision the entire 3 weeks. Oh yeah, they pay HIM to be there something like $60 per week.) but enough about the awesome cadets program. They occasionally have fundraising and events put on by different groups, like the Kiwanis club to support community services like Valour Place, for one. Keep an eye out and support them when they need you! Go Canada!

I recommend everyone goes and see's this building someday and hope that maybe even some might enlist into the Forces someday!
