I purchased a used 2013 Mustang GT back in January. To this day I'm super satisfied with my purchase and I'm loving the car! I've seen a bunch of one star reviews, but I had a great experience! I was scrolling on social media and came across the add for my vehicle from Serramonte Ford. I went on Cargurus since usually that's my main source and it was on there, then I sent a message showing my interest. That same day I get an email with a video of the car specifically to me, the salesman Jhay mentioned my name on the video showing me the car was there and available, I was like, "Damn! I've never had this experience before!" I went in that same day after work and seen the Mustang, I knew I wanted the car when I saw it in person and had to buy it! I'm a huge fan of the S197 Mustang Platforms, especially the 2013-2014 years, hence they are the last year the Mustang had solid rear axles, from 2015+ they have IRS rear end. I inspected the car as I was waiting for Jhay, I did notice the rear shocks going out, engine air filter was super dirty, I'm assuming the cabin filter would be too, small dent on the passenger fender, but that was no problem. Jhay arrived and showed me the Carfax, the car had one owner, I was sold on that! Went on a test drive with Jhay and noticed the alignment was off, but it's okay. The car drove fine and felt great! I knew I wanted it! I told Jhay I wanted the car but the price would have to be adjusted as the car was going to need new shocks, an alignment, filters, and mentioned the small dent on the fender. I told him I wasn't going to beat around the bush and told him my price. The car was listed at $21,991, basically $22k. I told him I'd do a reasonable price. $20k flat. We went in and waited to see what the sales manager would say, the deal couldn't be done, but it was okay. About three days later I get a call from Mike, that's the guy who ended up selling me the car, great dude! Would definitely go back and purchase another vehicle if Mike is my salesman. But he asked if I was interested and I was firm on the price. Explained to him why I offered my price and was firm, ended up working out a deal and took the car for $20.4K plus tax. So I made an appointment and went in to start the paperwork. Mike was great, I have ZERO complaints about the guy, he was super helpful and heard my reasons for my price and worked something out to where we were both mutual on. The guy isn't aggressive or pushy, straight to the point, if you want a vehicle, he'll do his best to make it happen and make sure you're happy! If you're going in the there I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST BUYING FROM MIKE! The manager Matt came in with the paperwork as he had to give the green light, of course like any other dealership, he added all these other things where the car was going to total out to $29k plus tax, but I simply denied it, I just wanted the car plus tax. The interest was super high at first, but I kept telling Matt to call the banks, after waiting I got something reasonable. After that, completed all my paperwork and walked out with the Mustang a happy man! I paid $22.8k out the door with taxes included and registration. Mike was again super helpful and followed up with me a week or two later asking how the car was. Again, had a GREAT EXPERIENCE at SERRAMONTE FORD! Would definitely recommend working with MIKE AND JHAY if y'all are interested in purchasing a vehicle there! read more

We purchased a new 2022 Ford Maverick from Serramonte Ford and have regretted it ever since. The truck had more than four visits back to the dealer in three years for recalls and problems with the truck and each time my advisor refused to provide a loaner car, provided incorrect time estimates, or no estimates at all, and consistently failed to return phone calls or emails. On at least one occasion the repair resulted in other problems which had to be"fixed" in yet another visit. Most recently, I brought in the truck in because of a check engine light and said that the MyFord App listed a problem with the ambient air temperature sensor. I was given an estimate for $2139.62 to replace the ambient air temperature sensor which Serramonte refused to cover under my still valid "bumper-to-bumper" warrantee because they said it was the result of an impact with no evidence other than the broken part so substantiate their claim. I declined the repair and was charged over $200 for diagnostics. I fixed the problem myself with a part purchased for less than $16 in ten minutes. If this dealership isn't actually scamming people, they are at least incompetent. I will never return to Serramonte Ford. read more

I'm presently in the process of purchasing a vehicle by paying cash. I was skeptical when asked to fill out a finance application because I am paying cash. When I received the contract, I noticed it was a finance contract. I also noticed that the finance contract had a final payment date 5 days past. This means that I would be signing a contract in which I agreed to pay the purchase price plus 5%. Some may view this as deceptive practice. Others may argue that it is not deceptive if signed and agreed to. Either way, it does say something about the dealership generally if not the finance manager specifically. read more

Extremely disappointed in the customer service here, and I would strongly recommend against anyone wasting their time here. I put in an order for a Maverick about 6 months ago. I had been very excited for the new truck, as I need a more reliable truck for work. After checking in with Jason Suarez about my order, he claimed that I did not have any order on file, accusing me of not following up with a request from an email. When confronted with the fact that I did respond to this email, also with the picture of the license that had been requested, with a screenshot of said email, the story changed. Now they claim that I did send the license, but I never put in a color for the build. And, they sent the color request to a different email than the one they asked the license from? Sure. Just admit you didn't put in my order, and rectify the mistake. Take responsibility for the mistake, and fix it. Simple. I would understand it more if they were just honest about it, rather than giving me the run around and blaming me with different reasons. It is just frustrating. The lack of wanting to take responsibility just doesn't sit well with me. I do it in my own business; I would just say, "I'm sorry, I messed up, here's what we're going to do." But Jason Suarez and Sean McLaughlin don't have it in them to do the right thing. Too bad, and now I'm out 5 months waiting on an order. Sean McLaughlin was the most knowledgeable and honest sales professional I encountered when shopping for my new F-150. He clearly has a passion for the vehicles he sells. His approach was to first understand my use case and needs when it came to the vehicle. He didn't just data dump and pitch me. Negotiations were fair and above board. I left feeling great about my purchase. This says a lot. I went to two other local Ford stores and walked out due to aggressive tactics and "bait and switch" advertising. Folks like Sean are what the Auto industry needs to change the perceptions that the public at large holds. I highly recommend Sean McLaughlin. Sexist so sexist. Just stopped by came from pd needed a tail light bulb replaced. Knew it would just take a minute. He asked me if I could leave the car overnight. I said no he asked me if I could bring it back the next day drive from San Francisco again. I said no, what's it take to replace the bulb he said he didn't know. Then I went to the parts department. Turns out it's a five dollar bulb and it takes one screw and about 90 seconds to replace. Didn't see a woman in the entire shop. Two other men that work there, Offered to help me fix it by selling me a new car. No thank you my cars Only a few years old and very low miles. I'm sure they wouldn't have pulled That on a man. Found one on the website for Serramonte Ford, called to get more information about a Bronco that they had listed, the salesman calls me and informs me that the bronco that they have listed is a customer order. How can a dealership place a customers order for "sale", I mentioned that this a strange practice. The salesman told me that this was done in order to get more interest from prospective customers and hopefully get them into the dealership. This is also known as Bait and Switch. As god as my witness, I will never step into a dealership again. Ok, I did test drive the Escape at another dealer so I knew what I wanted, but I didn't have to sit at a dealership all day. I had one phone call with Anthony Guerra about the Escape Hybrid, he sent me a video walking me through the interior and exterior of the vehicle and personally delivered it to my home the next day. I negotiated via texts with Matt Shone, did the application online and all from the comfort of my home. I did still have to sign some papers when Anthony dropped it off (not many), and the finance asked for a check, but other than that, mostly a digital experience. The level of customer service is outstanding from this team at Serramonte Ford. They're knowledgeable, prompt and friendly. I highly recommend them and will definitely be back. read more

Consider other dealerships before placing an order with these people. I placed mine back in November 2021. The salesperson told me that the waiting period was up to six months. Today, June 30th 2022 (7 months later) I received an email saying that they will not honor their word, of course they used a flowery language: "We have now reached a point where there is a strong likelihood we will be unable to produce your Maverick order". I contacted them to get my $500 deposit, and hope that at least they are quick with that. I have two friends that ordered their vehicles (Tesla and Toyota) after me and those dealers delivered before the scheduled date. I wish I had looked somewhere else. The fact that I'm sharing my bad, terrible, frustrating and stressful experience here rigth now only means that the management hasn't done anything to address the issue with the Service Dept. I, myself just experience a terrible experience which is the worst by far I've ever had. I attempted to make an appt on the phone for our cargo van service the past two weeks, left vm to two different person. I wanted to talk to someone because this is my first time dealing with them. Neither of them called me back. I just let it slide and decided to do the appt online to get a second opinion. There's an option if you want to wait or if want to leave your vehicle. I chose to wait. The day came,9/20, and I'm excited to talk to my service advisor, Mauricio R., because I have some questions to ask. When I got there at 9 am, this one guy told me to get down of the vehicle and leave the key and make sure I have my stuff with me because I will be needing to leave the vehicle overnight. I was not expecting this but I complied. I asked if he is Mauricio and said yes. He took my Name and Phone number and instructed me to wait in the Lyft waiting area so I can have a ride to my destination.Again, I didn't make this a big deal although I'm a little disappointed already and I realized too late that Mauricio did not give me any paperwork nor didn't invited me over to his desk to verify any information. 9/21, I called Mauricio around 9 am to get some Updates, I have a full day at work so I need some update. I left him a vm to urgently call me back but never got a call back. I called around 1:30am again, spoke with a lady. She couldn't find my account after I have given her the company name and the phone that it should be under. She tried to search through Vin and found out that it is tied up to my name and cell number, then she lectured me that next time I should remember to give out these information! She made me feel that I just wasted her precious time! I told her I never got any paperwork and told her how I was being treated. I demanded to talk to a different advisor because he's not really helpful but she insisted I should talk to Mauricio. So I spoke with Mauricio and told me that it is not ready yet and need to leave the vehicle for another day because they don't know what's wrong with it yet. He has not shown me any sympathy, didn't even apologize for the delay no concerns or should I say, he doesn't care about what I will feel or say! The worst part is that he didn't offer any solution to make up for this. I mean my vehicle got their first so they should prioritize me first and that's common sense. He told me the mechanic leaves at 3:30 - that early? On a busy place like them they should always have a full staff. They should do something about my case especially that my vehicle is there for two days already.So I told him fine, I'll just pick it up the following day but it has to be in the morning. He told me to call him at 8:30 am. 3rd Day today, So I called him and of course he didnt pick up and neither return my call. I asked someone to go there to pick up the van, expecting that it is ready already after our conversation yesterday but guess what, it's not ready yet! After leaving the vehicle for two full days and nothing was really got done! I'm not even sure if they even took the time to work on it. They probably didn't even touch it. I wonder how long they're gonna make me wait if I didn't decide to take it back. Where is your company's standard? It looks like some of the employees are no longer committed in their job and maybe needs to be re-trained. I am very surprised why the rating of this service is only 3 stars. I have been served by them for 2 years. I always gave them 5 stars in my mind. I was told that the rating here is very low and I decided to share my experience, since more often people leave bad reviews than good ones. So: Pros for me: 1) Payment in different ways 2) Always very clean everywhere 3) Very friendly staff 4) Always free tea and coffee 5) Comfortable waiting room 6) The coolest thing is that I can bring my car to them in the parking lot, throw the keys in the box with a note that I need to do and the next day they return me the already repaired car. This is very cool, because twice I had to bring them my car in a tow truck without an appointment. The staff quickly repaired everything and called me that the car was ready. 7) If I didn't write them a note, they would call me in the morning and ask what I wanted to do with the car 8) I very rarely see such a good service. Everyone always explains and tells me if I have any questions for them. I do not know what can be attributed to the cons, the only thing is that they speak quite quickly even if they understand that I do not understand English well. But they really work very fast and they have a lot of work to do, so sometimes I try not to distract them from empty questions. They always answer important questions. Even by e-mail, you can ask them any questions. They may not answer you very quickly, but the answer will definitely be there. read more

Hard for me to recommend this dealer. So I been buying cars for years. I just got a Ford Bronco raptor and the entire experience was lacking, but this has nothing to do with the cost but the after purchase. The truck came dirty and had to have it washed twice at the dealer then paid for detailing after I got it. sad to get a speciality vehicle that's dirty as hell. we found deep scratches in the window and asked multiple times to help getting it fixed and they never did anything. I have to go to another dealer for repairs at this point. Then they dropped my interest rate by 2 percent if I bought their extended warranty not a Ford warranty. When I asked Ford credit they said they would have reduced the rate even without the purchasing of a warranty. So it's likely the dealer marked up the rate to then drop it. For two weeks now I been trying to cancel the warranty and even signed a contract asking for it to be canceled and their finance team has gone silent. If you gotta buy from them they are great people but the aftercare and help is non existent. read more

Showed me different models, he was very knowledgeable and helped me pick the perfect model at the end. After everything was settled Jeff in finance department took over. He broke everything down for me in details and helped me make a decisions re warranty and gap insurance. He was honest and didn't try to sell me what I didn't need. Bought a van off of these guys. They were quite nice to work with, for the most part. Working with Erik and Robert to buy it was easy, they were accommodating and friendly. However, when I was transferred to the finance manager, Aron, I had a very different experience. I fo-und him to be extraordinarily rude. He was terse and short with me and when finally when he asked if I wanted to buy an extended warranty from them and I said no, his reaction was very unprofessional. He chided me for not being safe and when I said no again, he hung up on me. Its safe to say that I will never do business with Aron from Serramonte Ford ever again. read more

My partner scheduled a test drive since we had come to the decision that we found the right new car and were 100% ready to pay and walk out that day with a new car. However they made us wait for over 30 minutes and never even bothered to let us know that the rep wasn't going to come talk to us. After waiting we decided to leave since they seemed to have no interest in actually closing an easy sale on a decently high end vehicle when they had plenty of sales reps too busy up-selling folks who didn't want it.
