What the bull crap numbers are these for a Maverick lease??? Giving us the "maverick is popular and rare right now". Okay so? Not ever worth the $12k mark up. We came in to consider options for lease or finance for a truck. The whole time we told Mo that we are comfortable paying $500 a month or less so we thought maybe lease is better and will provide us with more options on models. We tested the used Ranger that he was sure we would loooove. That piece of crap sounded terrible. Anyway... we over heard they just got in a maverick hybrid so we thought that could be our next consideration (F-150 would be sweet but...$$$) After the test drive, we asked for lease and finance options. The manager came in with our numbers with the Maverick and said.." $800 a month or less right???" He was super excited to show us that even with $3k down we only pay $700 a month for 72 months. NOOOOOOO NOOOOOO. $500 or less period. And what the heck! 72 months... anyway, I understand you have your $12k mark up and don't want to budge. If numbers were good, we would have definitely offered a larger down payment. He took one second to let us know if we want a payment remotely close to $500 for lease we would need $11k down so that "wouldn't make sense for us" and then forced us to not even consider that option. Excuse me??? The numbers are soo flipped flopped. Maybe I don't know how to math but... In 3 years you want $11k plus $673 for 36 months= $35,228. Basically the price of the car. Then there's technically $7k balance left.. am I missing something here? To my understanding, the calculation for lease is usually paying depreciation of the car and at the end they could still sell it and make their money again. It's gonna depreciate 90% in 3 years? Let's flip flop the numbers.. rough numbers.. if the lease was $3k down and $700 payments for 36 months, that still comes out to be $28k in 3 years. Even that would make more sense. Then he called and said oh I have to charge you another 100 for deliver because I couldn't find a guy to deliver to you and now he has to use 3rd party. A suggestion to the Service Manager: When somebody calls in to ask what the replacement cost of a Fusion Hybrid battery is and the answer is "$15,000." the next question is bound to be something like "About how much battery life should I expect for my FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS." The correct answer to that question is not "I don't know." If the customer tries to prompt the service rep for a ballpark estimate with a helpful hint such as "Would you say something between 6 months and 20 years?" or "Something between 10,000 and 200,000 miles?" the expected response is not "What do you want me to tell you? There's no way to know." I fear, judging from the peevish tone of the reply I received from your Service Rep, that I had asked a foolishly immaterial question and was causing him a grievous loss of his valuable time whilst formulating a reply calculated to ensure that no further impudent questions would be forthcoming. It was probably naïve of me to think that someone with the word "Service" in his job title would've handled such a question, however immaterial, with a bit of patience. Never mind that to me, at least, the idea of spending $15,000 on anything is highly material and worthy of deeper inquiry. You'll be relieved to know that I promise not to inconvenience your staff with further questions of any kind. If I do decide to buy a battery, instead of trading my Fusion in for a Prius, I'll be sure to trouble some other dealership read more

I visited Serramonte Ford on July 1, 2025, for my 40,000-mile service and was informed I needed four new tires. The staff confirmed they had the tires in stock and could install, align, and balance them, so I agreed. Upon leaving, I noticed the new tires were a different brand than the originals that came with my car when I purchased it new. On July 24, 2025, while driving on a rough road with speed bumps (a route I'd driven many times with my original tires without issue) the front passenger-side tire blew out. Since my car doesn't come with a spare, I had it towed to a repair shop, where the damaged tire was replaced with a temporary one. Upon inspecting the tire, I found the damage was on the sidewall, not a puncture, suggesting to me it was a low-quality tire. On July 26, I returned to Serramonte Ford to inquire about warranty coverage or a discount on a replacement tire. The staff member I spoke with instructed me to contact the attendant from my July 1 visit, took a photo of the damage, and left a note for them. On July 28, the attendant responded, stating they could do nothing to assist. I felt dismissed, as if they thought I was fabricating a story to get a free tire. As a loyal Ford customer who purchased a new vehicle from them and consistently serviced it at their dealership, I expected better treatment. I had been considering trading in my car for another new one at Serramonte Ford, but this experience has led me to switch to a different brand. read more

I purchased a used 2013 Mustang GT back in January. To this day I'm super satisfied with my purchase and I'm loving the car! I've seen a bunch of one star reviews, but I had a great experience! I was scrolling on social media and came across the add for my vehicle from Serramonte Ford. I went on Cargurus since usually that's my main source and it was on there, then I sent a message showing my interest. That same day I get an email with a video of the car specifically to me, the salesman Jhay mentioned my name on the video showing me the car was there and available, I was like, "Damn! I've never had this experience before!" I went in that same day after work and seen the Mustang, I knew I wanted the car when I saw it in person and had to buy it! I'm a huge fan of the S197 Mustang Platforms, especially the 2013-2014 years, hence they are the last year the Mustang had solid rear axles, from 2015+ they have IRS rear end. I inspected the car as I was waiting for Jhay, I did notice the rear shocks going out, engine air filter was super dirty, I'm assuming the cabin filter would be too, small dent on the passenger fender, but that was no problem. Jhay arrived and showed me the Carfax, the car had one owner, I was sold on that! Went on a test drive with Jhay and noticed the alignment was off, but it's okay. The car drove fine and felt great! I knew I wanted it! I told Jhay I wanted the car but the price would have to be adjusted as the car was going to need new shocks, an alignment, filters, and mentioned the small dent on the fender. I told him I wasn't going to beat around the bush and told him my price. The car was listed at $21,991, basically $22k. I told him I'd do a reasonable price. $20k flat. We went in and waited to see what the sales manager would say, the deal couldn't be done, but it was okay. About three days later I get a call from Mike, that's the guy who ended up selling me the car, great dude! Would definitely go back and purchase another vehicle if Mike is my salesman. But he asked if I was interested and I was firm on the price. Explained to him why I offered my price and was firm, ended up working out a deal and took the car for $20.4K plus tax. So I made an appointment and went in to start the paperwork. Mike was great, I have ZERO complaints about the guy, he was super helpful and heard my reasons for my price and worked something out to where we were both mutual on. The guy isn't aggressive or pushy, straight to the point, if you want a vehicle, he'll do his best to make it happen and make sure you're happy! If you're going in the there I WOULD HIGHLY SUGGEST BUYING FROM MIKE! The manager Matt came in with the paperwork as he had to give the green light, of course like any other dealership, he added all these other things where the car was going to total out to $29k plus tax, but I simply denied it, I just wanted the car plus tax. The interest was super high at first, but I kept telling Matt to call the banks, after waiting I got something reasonable. After that, completed all my paperwork and walked out with the Mustang a happy man! I paid $22.8k out the door with taxes included and registration. Mike was again super helpful and followed up with me a week or two later asking how the car was. Again, had a GREAT EXPERIENCE at SERRAMONTE FORD! **BEWARE** So I recently bought a Corvette at Serramonte Ford. I was satisfied with the car and my salesman was great. Well not even a month later and it already has a big issue involving one of the belts that snapped off and wrapped around other components and caused an oil leak. Well it was very upsetting because I didn't expect something like that would happen so soon. Called warranty and they couldnt cover it as its only a belt issue in their eyes. And then my next resort was to call Serramonte Ford to see if we can come up with a solution for this issue. I had very high hopes being they are a big dealership and they would help me. But no. I spoke with the used car manager and he told me straight up its all on me and they will 100% not be able to help and will not help me. Not even a portion of the repair cost. So now here I am being quoted $2000+ from a Chevrolet dealer for repairs. My main question is was the car even inspected properly? I have worked at a Lexus dealership in the past and with my experience there 100% shouldve been signs of wear on the belt that they never discussed. The used car manager told me his technician approved the inspection and everything was perfect which I highly doubt they even do their inspections properly. How is it that not even a month later all that damage happens. Maybe if it was properly inspected. They couldve caught the wear from the belt and that it was time to replace. I dont understand as the customer how it is my fault. This is 100% on Serramonte Ford for failing to properly inspect a vehicle. Now that I am seeing other similar reviews. It seems like a pattern at this point. These people are just focused on selling and could care less about the customers after. read more

Sean McLaughlin was the most knowledgeable and honest sales professional I encountered when shopping for my new F-150. He clearly has a passion for the vehicles he sells. His approach was to first understand my use case and needs when it came to the vehicle. He didn't just data dump and pitch me. Negotiations were fair and above board. I left feeling great about my purchase. This says a lot. I went to two other local Ford stores and walked out due to aggressive tactics and "bait and switch" advertising. Folks like Sean are what the Auto industry needs to change the perceptions that the public at large holds. I highly recommend Sean McLaughlin. Extremely disappointed in the customer service here, and I would strongly recommend against anyone wasting their time here. I put in an order for a Maverick about 6 months ago. I had been very excited for the new truck, as I need a more reliable truck for work. After checking in with Jason Suarez about my order, he claimed that I did not have any order on file, accusing me of not following up with a request from an email. When confronted with the fact that I did respond to this email, also with the picture of the license that had been requested, with a screenshot of said email, the story changed. Now they claim that I did send the license, but I never put in a color for the build. And, they sent the color request to a different email than the one they asked the license from? Sure. Just admit you didn't put in my order, and rectify the mistake. Take responsibility for the mistake, and fix it. Simple. I would understand it more if they were just honest about it, rather than giving me the run around and blaming me with different reasons. It is just frustrating. The lack of wanting to take responsibility just doesn't sit well with me. I do it in my own business; I would just say, "I'm sorry, I messed up, here's what we're going to do." But Jason Suarez and Sean McLaughlin don't have it in them to do the right thing. Too bad, and now I'm out 5 months waiting on an order. As god as my witness, I will never step into a dealership again. Ok, I did test drive the Escape at another dealer so I knew what I wanted, but I didn't have to sit at a dealership all day. I had one phone call with Anthony Guerra about the Escape Hybrid, he sent me a video walking me through the interior and exterior of the vehicle and personally delivered it to my home the next day. I negotiated via texts with Matt Shone, did the application online and all from the comfort of my home. I did still have to sign some papers when Anthony dropped it off (not many), and the finance asked for a check, but other than that, mostly a digital experience. The level of customer service is outstanding from this team at Serramonte Ford. They're knowledgeable, prompt and friendly. I highly recommend them and will definitely be back. read more

Brought my 2016 fiesta in for service because my car started overheating. This was on March 13th. I was told by my service adviser Richard that it would be done within a few days and that Enterprise would provide me their special rate if it was not covered by Ford. Two days later Richard told me the vehicle would be covered by ford and to keep driving the vehicle. I get a call from Enterprise on March 19th asking me when I was returning the vehicle. When I explained that my service advisor said Ford would cover it, he said that they never received a call. It took me two days to finally reach Richard where he said that he would call Enterprise right away. Weren't you supposed to call when you told me that Ford would cover the car rental? After this whole ordeal, Richard has been completely unreachable. Every time I call his direct line, it goes straight to voicemail. I've spoken to the so called manager Henry who said he would call me back, never got a call back. I've been calling almost every day trying to figure out when I'm getting my vehicle. I have been waiting patiently for my vehicle and on Wednesday March 27th, 2 weeks later, Richard told me that I would be getting my car back finally today March 29th. He has not provided me any time as to when my vehicle would be finished. When I call him, he says that he'll check for me and call me back. 2 hours later, no call. I said fuck it, and I give him a call. Tell me why this guy tells me again that my vehicle will not be ready and to wait until April 3rd? Lastly, Richard said he would send me a picture of the damage so that I could see exactly what's taking my vehicle so long to repair. He said it would take ten minutes max. Yet there is still no photo after an hour. No surprise though as he has been providing me empty promises since the start. What the fuck is wrong with Serramonte Ford's service department? Although I was initially very satisfied with the sales team when I purchased my Mustang Mach-E 2 years ago (my salesperson was AMAZING), my recent experience with the service department was a HUGE disappointment. I scheduled an appointment to have my vehicle checked because of a warning light that appears when I start my vehicle. My appointment was scheduled for 9 am. I was told that I would be billed $12.97 for a Lyft ride to work (unlike my experience with Hyundai, a courtesy ride is not provided). By 2 pm I had not received any information statusing me on my vehicle. When I called to find out some information the phone rang with no answer. After my fourth unsuccessful attempt with trying to contact the service department, I decided to leave work, call for a second Lyft and return to Serramonte Ford. I arrived to the service department at 3 pm. I was told after SEVEN HOURS my car had NOT been looked at. VERY DISAPPOINTING. Recommendation: If you are unable to provide a courtesy ride for customers when they bring their car in, waiving the price of a Lyft ride shouldn't be that big of a stretch. Customers should be contacted within a couple of hours statusing them on their vehicle. If a vehicle is kept overnight, a courtesy car should be offered to the customer. In my opinion, Serramonte Ford needs to, DO BETTER. read more

I'm presently in the process of purchasing a vehicle by paying cash. I was skeptical when asked to fill out a finance application because I am paying cash. When I received the contract, I noticed it was a finance contract. I also noticed that the finance contract had a final payment date 5 days past. This means that I would be signing a contract in which I agreed to pay the purchase price plus 5%. Some may view this as deceptive practice. Others may argue that it is not deceptive if signed and agreed to. Either way, it does say something about the dealership generally if not the finance manager specifically. read more

Consider other dealerships before placing an order with these people. I placed mine back in November 2021. The salesperson told me that the waiting period was up to six months. Today, June 30th 2022 (7 months later) I received an email saying that they will not honor their word, of course they used a flowery language: "We have now reached a point where there is a strong likelihood we will be unable to produce your Maverick order". I contacted them to get my $500 deposit, and hope that at least they are quick with that. In the market for a new vehicle. Looking all over California for a Bronco. Found one on the website for Serramonte Ford, called to get more information about a Bronco that they had listed, the salesman calls me and informs me that the bronco that they have listed is a customer order. How can a dealership place a customers order for "sale", I mentioned that this a strange practice. The salesman told me that this was done in order to get more interest from prospective customers and hopefully get them into the dealership. This is also known as Bait and Switch. We purchased a new 2022 Ford Maverick from Serramonte Ford and have regretted it ever since. The truck had more than four visits back to the dealer in three years for recalls and problems with the truck and each time my advisor refused to provide a loaner car, provided incorrect time estimates, or no estimates at all, and consistently failed to return phone calls or emails. On at least one occasion the repair resulted in other problems which had to be"fixed" in yet another visit. Most recently, I brought in the truck in because of a check engine light and said that the MyFord App listed a problem with the ambient air temperature sensor. I was given an estimate for $2139.62 to replace the ambient air temperature sensor which Serramonte refused to cover under my still valid "bumper-to-bumper" warrantee because they said it was the result of an impact with no evidence other than the broken part so substantiate their claim. I declined the repair and was charged over $200 for diagnostics. I fixed the problem myself with a part purchased for less than $16 in ten minutes. If this dealership isn't actually scamming people, they are at least incompetent. I will never return to Serramonte Ford. read more

I am very surprised why the rating of this service is only 3 stars. I have been served by them for 2 years. I always gave them 5 stars in my mind. I was told that the rating here is very low and I decided to share my experience, since more often people leave bad reviews than good ones. So: Pros for me: 1) Payment in different ways 2) Always very clean everywhere 3) Very friendly staff 4) Always free tea and coffee 5) Comfortable waiting room 6) The coolest thing is that I can bring my car to them in the parking lot, throw the keys in the box with a note that I need to do and the next day they return me the already repaired car. This is very cool, because twice I had to bring them my car in a tow truck without an appointment. The staff quickly repaired everything and called me that the car was ready. 7) If I didn't write them a note, they would call me in the morning and ask what I wanted to do with the car 8) I very rarely see such a good service. Everyone always explains and tells me if I have any questions for them. I do not know what can be attributed to the cons, the only thing is that they speak quite quickly even if they understand that I do not understand English well. But they really work very fast and they have a lot of work to do, so sometimes I try not to distract them from empty questions. They always answer important questions. Even by e-mail, you can ask them any questions. They may not answer you very quickly, but the answer will definitely be there. read more

Bought a van off of these guys. They were quite nice to work with, for the most part. Working with Erik and Robert to buy it was easy, they were accommodating and friendly. However, when I was transferred to the finance manager, Aron, I had a very different experience. I fo-und him to be extraordinarily rude. He was terse and short with me and when finally when he asked if I wanted to buy an extended warranty from them and I said no, his reaction was very unprofessional. He chided me for not being safe and when I said no again, he hung up on me. Its safe to say that I will never do business with Aron from Serramonte Ford ever again. read more

I called and they answered and transferred me to my service advisor Juan who happens to be on vacation. I hung up and called back 2 times and it rang to no end. My partner scheduled a test drive since we had come to the decision that we found the right new car and were 100% ready to pay and walk out that day with a new car. However they made us wait for over 30 minutes and never even bothered to let us know that the rep wasn't going to come talk to us. After waiting we decided to leave since they seemed to have no interest in actually closing an easy sale on a decently high end vehicle when they had plenty of sales reps too busy up-selling folks who didn't want it. Generis had me sold on the vehicle just from the way he gave me information. He didn't try and sugar coat anything.
