Update: they made good on their promise. To make up for the previous experience, they called me when the part was ready, took an appointment, came and picked up my car at the specified time, and brought it back fixed and cleaned. There was some minor damage to the steering wheel emblem from where they tried (unsuccessfully) to push it back in after it popped out during their last repair. And a scratch in the steering wheels leather. But wasn't terrible. read more

Coolant Leak; took three days to figure out and repair ; $500 for a hose replacement and fill coolant...... Last Dime this place ever gets from me ! I have to admit, I typically bashed this dealership as being overpriced. And, before my recent purchase had mixed "reviews" about my interactions at this place. BUT, and I mean a HUGE BUT - Seth (Michael) changed all that as have the service department but it's Seth that I want to praise here. I knew what I wanted, and what I could afford. I mean, model, extras, color, down payment, interests and even brought a financial institution's name that I knew had the best rates in this crazy market - from a previous experience (awful). Seth is a NO PRESSURE kinda salesperson, he listens, lays it out, and then goes into the management to help get what you want - again NO PRESSURE sales - he's gonna give (used) car salespeople a GOOD name! Right after we agreed on a deal but no money had transferred, buy accident I found a bit better deal and a color I liked more - I called Seth and told him that this other vehicle had the tow package, etc. and I'm sorry but I'm probably gonna have to go with this car because it suits me better - Seth said (basically) hold my beer - He came back and agreed to add the tow package- no charge. I still like the color of the other vehicle better - but hey, I didn't like the guy on the phone who I had to convince to use the financial institution I wanted - He told me I'd have to do that. Look people, if you really want someone that's going to the carpet to get what you want, can afford and make you HAPPY about your purchase - go see SETH! He's the man! He went to the institute and set all that up, he even got my personalized tags sorted (and believe me that is another long and trying story) and on my REGISTRATION (the other dealer said I'd have to do it). It's all these little things, that I did NOT have to attend to and did I mention, NO PRESSURE? Horrible experience with Serramonte Ford. I have 2020 Mustang and had zero issues, just dropped off for regular 30k miles service and after got my vehicle back, I started hearing a humming noise while driving and also vibration on the steering wheel! Discussion after discussion, and after spending several days they claimed the issue comes from the tires! The same tires which were perfectly fine, according to Serramonte Service Manager - all in sudden start making noise(!) The service manager didn't believe me that before the service, there was no noise. I asked to prove if the noise is coming from the tires, but he asked me additional charge to change the tires... I am planning escalating this issue to Ford Service management as much as I can, and also sharing my horrible experience on social media on different platforms. In the meantime I am going to seek my legal rights as well. Just a friendly reminder; If you love your car, stay away from Serramonte Ford guys...It was my first visit but it is gonna be the last one! read more

Worse experience ever, got financed the first time then a week passed then somehow the vehicle had to be returned afterwards got financed again for a much higher amount on a different vehicle all rushed & last minute before closing time, staff promised gas on another day due to being unable to work with the only gas station they use apparently not being available, battery on the car dies on day 2 now its a headache to have to call off again for some service on the battery & when spoken to management about the gas its a miss understanding for free oil change... Buyer Beware: My boyfriend and I were looking for a new suv, and I really like the 2019 Ford Edge, but my boyfriend really liked the 2019 Forrester. My family is a Ford family and I was sure once my boyfriend saw the Edge he would change his mind. So we went in to test drive the 2019 Ford Edge. We met Jhay and we did a test drive, which went super well. Though when it came time to talk numbers and vehicles, that's where things got shady. I told Jhay, I was looking to buy, but he kept suggesting a lease would be better. I said I wanted Black and he said that he didn't have, instead he kept asking what my second color choice was. When I insisted I wanted Black, and he said he wasn't sure he could find one. He walked away for 20 minutes, and then came back and said he found one but would take over two weeks to get it. Then we were talking about price and he said what you see is what you get. When I told him other dealers were cheaper, he said the sticker price was the price. However the final straw was when we talked about my trade in. He said that they ran the carfax on my 07 Elantra, and it was a salvage title. I told him that he must be mistaken, because my car was not a salvage title. I had used an bank auto loan to pay it off, and you can't do that with salvage titles. Jhay shrugged and said that's what his guy said, and that maybe I would want to try to sell it privately, or Ford would take it for a dollar. I was really taken aback by this. I ended up paying and pulling mine own car fax report in the Serramonte Ford parking lot, and saw that he had lied to me. No salvage title, they just didn't want to honor the trade in since it was an older car. I was so frustrated, and at that point my boyfriend said let's got look at the Subaru, which was the best decision ever. We bought a new 2019 Forrester that same day. (See my Serramonte Subaru review) Oh and that 07 Elantra, I got a $1000 for it! Cue the pretty woman movie line here please, lol! But honestly, if your looking for a new car/suv, do yourself a favor and go anywhere but Serramonte Ford. Recently bought a used car from here. During negotiations, I was adamant I didn't want a loan longer than 72 months. Eventually, terms were agreed over 72 months. I went in to see the finance guy who chucked paperwork at me to sign. When it came to selling me a warranty, he made a point of telling me the 7 year warranty was a year longer than the term of the loan. At no point was 84 months mentioned. So I was pretty shocked when my paperwork came through from the credit union, and the term was 84 months!!! Pretty sure this is illegal. Despite having a witness with me, proving it would probably be virtually impossible though. If you are gonna buy from these guys, check your paperwork first!!! ****update**** In fairness, I feel I should update this review to reflect that the dealership did work to correct this issue when they were made aware of it. read more

Sean reached out to me over email and invited me to come down and try the new car. What I loved that after the drive and what not, we had a good talk about what I like about the car and my experiences with other cars and at no point did he make it feel like a sales pitch. Just a guy who likes cars and likes technology. He was up front and honest about the pricing, what he could and could not do for me..and thats what I liked. Our Ford Edge is under warranty with only 25,000 miles and we had to get the entire transmission replaced. Work was performed by this particular dealership. The problem still persists. Service manager Henry has been unresponsive and unhelpful. He is unwilling to provide a loaner or rental car necessary to fix the work that was done by his service dept. I would steer clear of this dealership as the service dept. is awful. Had to file a case with Ford corporate. Outcome is pending... Brought my car in for service. Was originally told everything fell under warranty and would be completed within a few weeks. They kept my car for almost 3 months with extremely poor communication and eventually told me that it would not be covered under warranty. I went to pick up the car and was given a charge for a new battery that I didn't approve and was not able to take my car until paying for it. After paying for the new battery and picking up my car I drove it off the lot and the transmission was in significantly worse condition than when I dropped it off. The car was no longer safe to drive. I ended up turning around and dropping it back off, the service center is now claiming that this was pre-existing damage and is refusing to take responsibility. Kyle and Henry were my points of contact in the service center. I would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

Hoping to purchase a s GT350R I spoke with a salesman at Serramonte Ford. After coming to an agreement, with the General Manager (SOHAIL TABAR), of paying $10,000 above MSRP I made the 2 1/2 hour drive to purchase my new car where I was told that the General Manager had now decided that a price of $12,000 over MSRP was actually fair. What makes this even better is that I was informed that the GT350R (vin 1FA6P8JZ3J5504232) had front end damage and the front spoiler would need to be ordered from Ford, which would take about a week. The car business gets a bad name from dealerships that play games like this. I could have had an extremely easy transaction as I was pre-approved and ready to leave a great review after having a sales person who did his job until Mr. TABAR decided to get greedy. Just No. I recently moved across the country from New Jersey and had to finance to buy out my lease or figure out other options. There was no discussion or negotiations and I was made to feel like an idiot. I came in with my research done and had the math figured out, but this dealership lives up to the car salesman reputation and I felt like I should have brought a white man with me to be taken seriously. Heads up, if you want a car with a sunroof in California, they can't seem to find ANY in the WHOLE state! Then with financing, I had to go in three times to resign my contract. After the first agreed upon numbers, they waited until 1:30 pm on a Saturday to tell me that the deal was no longer available and I needed to put $1000 down and my month payments were going up. Needless to say, I walked out to calm down and was ready to just leave the car there and walk down the street to another dealership. If my deal was no longer available, then I should have been called at the start of the day, so I could have gone through an outside credit union and worked with professionals, but since they waited to inform me, I was out of options. Finally got the numbers back down to basically the originally agreed amount. However, the nightmare didn't end! Turns out, they incorrectly wrote down the VIN number and didn't inform me until 2 days later. So once again, I had to drive down to Colma from SF and re-sign my contract! They told me all paperwork was going to be prepared when I arrived. Guess What?! They didn't have it prepared. Another hour wasted.... Customer Service: There is none! I never thought I would miss a car dealership, but Mahwah Ford, I love you and miss you and wish I didn't move away from you. read more

Originally I was happy with the services I received from Jason and Sebastien, I thought they were great. I think the Ford Fusion Energi is great and have nothing bad to say about the vehicle itself. Unfortunately, the past few weeks I have complained about the Sync and Navigation system in the vehicle. It is very unresponsive with voice commands and the manual inputs are frustrating and difficult due to the sensitivity of the navigation itself. I tried everything on my own to see if I can do a software upgrade but was told that not only was I sent home (August 1, 2016) with old software 3.7 but a software upgrade to 3.8 would cost about $160 since the software upgrade can only be done from a dealership. I was also told the software upgrade would NOT fix the issues I have with the navigation. I proposed that I exchange the vehicle for the same exact vehicle in a later model 2016 or newer so that I can have a functioning navigation system. I mean, I did pay a premium for the navigation system so why do I have to keep paying for that if it is not working properly? This is when Jason and other people at the dealership stop responding with my requests. It has been very frustrating and after speaking to a couple of dealerships they said they should of explained that newer (late 2016 models and 2017 models) vehicles had a better and updated Sync 3 Navigation system. The other 2 dealerships also were puzzled on why they didn't explain to me that older vehicles in the lot could potentially have problems later (thank goodness my does not .... yet). I also mentioned to them I had a small orange/reddish stain in the passenger seat which they wouldn't even address. It is unfortunate I have to write this review because they were so initially friendly. read more

On the phone I kept asking how much lower can they lower the markups and the kept insisting I have to be there. Despite living far I drove there little did I know I will be tricked again. I asked the floor manager hamza what will be my total price and how much lower can they go on the markups but the manager Hamza told me they have to run my credit and it only will lower my credit score by 1 point and I fell for it. After everything said and done they only lower the markups by $1000 which they could tell me either on the phone pr before running my credit. Be aware don't fall for their lies and trap. They don't have to run your credit to tell you the price and when they run credit it never cost you 1 points rather it will coat you 5 points or more which is what happened to me and with that lower score you might not get the interest rate you were hoping for in another car dealer or for tour home mortgage. read more

I'd advise people to stay away from this spot. I (stupidly) requested information about a car a couple weeks ago and the sales guy who reached out to me IS STILL TRYING TO SELL TO ME despite my telling him I purchased elsewhere. It started with texting. He wanted to talk to me, but I wasn't able to get locked into a phone call at the time, but said I could text. For the next 90 minutes, he tried EVERY trick to get me to come in immediately to look ar the car. "It's such a great price" "Lots of people are interested in this one" "How about coming in after work"? I kept saying I wasn't ready to come in and he had the audacity to question why I couldn't come in that day after work. Mind you, this was literally the first day that I was even starting to look, so I really wasn't ready to start going to lots that day, much less immediately after work and not having a car to drive down there. I finally told him that he was being extremely pushy and that I was going elsewhere. That was July 17. Now, 2 weeks later, he's texting me again trying to apologize and get me in to look at cars. I told him I purchased elsewhere. Then I get an email saying that they're sorry that I purchased elsewhere and started touting the service department. ARE YOU EFFING KIDDING ME?!! How many times and ways does a person have to say NO before this place gets the point?!?! I wouldn't even recommend this place to my worst enemy. read more

YOU SHOULD READ ALL OF THIS! You know, I've waited many years to write this review, but here it is. They just suck. The sales rep was great, the car is great, but they suck. I originally got a Cmax lease and told them that I was going to put a lot of miles on it and maybe I should purchase ( I qualified for just a little under the purchase price), they told me "don't worry, you can purchase the car at the end of the lease or buy something else." Ok cool right? So the car came with a few minor issues, main one was a hatch door lock not closing correctly and making a lot of noise. Took it in, they couldn't fix it. My friend worked at Redwood City Ford and told me that it is known that Serramonte Ford has the worst mechanics in the bay, took it to RWC and it got fixed. They also sell the MPP extended warranty, if you don't take the car in to them, they charge you $100 to take it to another dealer. Eventually, my lease ends. Same rep, more issues. I couldn't purchase my car cause of the high mileage! So I ended up buying the same car, newer version and now I have to pay an extra 3 years to own it with all the extra payments. I didn't want they MPP warranty since my issue was getting charged when I don't use the home mechanic and I live far. They said "Oh don't worry, you can take it anywhere now." Eventually I learned that you can cancel MPP. Just buy the Ford extended warranty and take it anywhere. It's way better, but they make less commission on it so they don't offer it. Again, I had minor issues, same thing, they couldn't fix them. But they added it to the bill, and the car issue was exactly the same as when I turned it in. MPP is sold to you as a bumper to bumper warranty and they tried to charge me for a bunch of things. It took them a whole week to give it back, just so that I can tell them that they didn't do it. And there was bolts that weren't even tightened that I had to tighten in. I was furious!!!! I definitely talked to the manager and the fees were waved, but this place just sucks. There's way better out there folks. So, they lie, they waste your time, waste your money, they have horrible mechanics and my guess is that they fake the fixing so that you can take your car in again and bill the insurance double to increase profit. The 3 star rating is a favor. You have been warned! read more

10/10 for first time visit here at Serramonte Ford Service ! Jesus Villasenor is my advisor and made sure I was taken care of professionally and immediately! Brought my Focus RS in for service last week in which they diagnosed rather swiftly that my AC compressor took a dive. The technician Abel made sure to diagnose the problem quickly to get me back on the road! Jesus and Abel ordered my compressor right away but backorder ensued. They both made sure to expedite this process knowing heatwave was arriving the following week. Since part was not in stock they advised me to take the RS back home and will inform me once part arrives. Three business days later I received a call from Jesus letting me know parts arrived! Following day I dropped my vehicle off first thing in the morning with a promise time of afternoon for pick up. Six hours later, Jesus called and informed me that my RS is ready for pick up! I was able to actually talk with the technician once arrived and made sure I knew what happened with failed component! It was a pleasant experience having the ability to talk to Abel about the failure and how it was repaired. Overall I would definitely come back to Serramonte Ford service for all my repairs and services moving forward specially requesting Jesus as my Advisor and Abel as the technician! Moving to the area and needing a car this was my husbands first stop - he really wanted a Mustang. We booked in a test drive for one weekday afternoon (I think it was a Tuesday) and the staff were really friendly. We took out 3 different Mustangs but were not as impressed with them as we had hoped so we decided we wanted to look about a bit more before making a decision and informed the sales team that we'll be in touch at the weekend if we choose to go ahead with a purchase. Most company's would respect this and give time to choose but not Serremonte Ford. Just a few hours after leaving the lot the phone calls started ''are you interested?'' ''can we interest you in another model'' ect ect.. We got a call everyday for the following 4 days until my husband told them that actually no, we were not interested and he had decided to go with a Honda. Even then the calls didn't stop and for about 6 weeks later we were getting around 3-4 calls a week!!! The service we had in the initial visit was 4 star worthy but the harassment that followed was completely uncalled for hence my very generous 2 stars. read more
