I purchased a car from them on August 7. What started out as a good process, ended up becoming a headache. I went in, spoke with Charlie and stated what I was looking for and ended up test driving a car. I was told there was a demo car exactly like what I was looking for and needed to come back later. Once the car arrived on the lot I drove in the look at it. I decided to buy it and this is where it started taking a turn. As I tried to negotiate on price and showed other vehicles identical to this one, I was spoken down to, they started getting quite defensive and made me feel uncomfortable. After agreeing on a price I was told it would take 30 minutes to finalize the paperwork. I submitted all my paperwork, got insurance, and waited to be called back. Come to find out they sent me the wrong VIN so I had to redo my paperwork and it ended up taking 1.5 hours to close on the car. When I was given my interest rate, I was never showed any other banks and was told that due to my situation that was the best rate that I could get. I signed the paperwork and we confirmed that I would pick the car up the next day so they could clean the car (it was a demo so someone was driving it regularly), fill it up, and do an oil change. After I left I called my friend who works in auto financing and she was shocked at the rate they gave me and that they didn't show me any other rates. I called another bank and will be refinancing at HALF the rate they gave me. I told them to reach out to me the next day once the car was ready as I needed to pick it up ASAP due to a family obligation. No call ever came. I had to reach out to them to be told it was ready. When I got there, it was anything but ready. The car was not filled up with gas. The only thing that was cleaned was the windows and outside. I'm still finding food and crumbs throughout the car. When I was being shown how to set it up Charlie opened the arm rest and pulled out trash from the previous driver and just quickly moved on. As I live out of state and had a family obligation I was running short to, I left. I had to fill the car up. I now have to pay to get it detailed inside and out. After spending what I spent on this car, you'd think they'd take the time to ensure the handoff process was as professional as possible. Instead, I got a process where I should feel lucky that I got the car since "there's not a lot of inventory". I won't go back to Al Serra for any of my future purchases. I'd think twice before using them as your next car purchase. Needless to say, I'm looking forward to the survey Chevy sends out to provide my feedback. read more

Took my car to get diagnostic because their engine light was on and reduce engine speed sensor. I was told it would cost 175.00. They charge me 206.00. Told me it had something to do with the engine. " duh" It cost me 2,100 to go into the engine to see what was going on. I was scam out of 206.00. read more

I lived 2 hours away. Saw a car I was highly interested in. I specifically asked if anything was wrong with the car. I was told none. After a couple of days of back and forth calls, I got the paperwork rolling and drove out there on a Saturday morning. I was met by the sales guy I talked to. He gave me the key fob and went out corn test drive. I first noticed a cracked lower bumper. Then the power seats didn't work. Heated seats, not working. Last but not least. The check engine light flashed on and off. The car drove sluggish and it was a NO for me. Went back inside and told the sales guy what was up and not to sell that car without fixing the issues. One of the worst experiences I have ever had in purchasing a used vehicle. The salesman was less than interested in selling me a car, you can tell he totally hates himself and his job. Didn't return phone calls, didn't follow up, and acted like all he did was want to get me off of the phone. The car was disgustingly FILTHY. Serra left all of the prior owners crap in the car, including a marijuana joint. No clean up, no gas. It took us HOURS to clean it. VERY upset. The attitude and treatment I took away from this experience will stay with me forever. Will not recommend and since I'm from the Flint area and traveled to Saginaw for this particular car I definitely won't be using them in Grand Blanc or Saginaw again EVER. I will be sure and go out of my way to tell EVERYONE I know how shitty I was treated. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Staff was nice and gave amazing trade in value but had to wait 6 weeks to get the truck because of minor repairs that should have taken a week or maybe 2. Never was updated on what was going on and I always had to reach out for information and was constantly told a different day for delivery every time. When truck was finally delivered it had not been detailed like promised and when I contacted them they said they would send a check out for me to take it somewhere to be detailed. Serra is only getting a single star because there wasn't an option to leave zero. Last week I made an appointment for this morning at 8am. I dropped my vehicle off last night because the female on the phone suggested it due to a noise when the vehicle first starts. I waited all morning with no word. Finally at 1pm I call and after being bounced around by three phone advisors that last one tells me the car has not even been looked at yet and I can reschedule the appointment for tomorrow if I'd like. The worst of the whole matter was the woman's tone on the phone as if none of it was a big deal. Tell me WHY the first agent would schedule my appointment on a DAY that is FILLED WITH VEHICLES already BEING SERVICED. Then not ONE employees bothers to call the whole day to say ANYTHING? It shouldn't take me to finally call them 5 1/2 hours after the appointment to find out the car wasn't even given a thought! Then her having the nerve to ask if I want to reschedule the service when I need to be to work. I finally picked the vehicle up at 1:50pm with no work being done on the vehicle after sitting home waiting on some sort of phone call all day. This is the WORST customer service ever from a car dealership. I've had my vehicle in another Serra shop where the service was excellent. However the Bay Road location is TERRIBLE!!! Be prepared for extensive waiting at this location. If the work even gets done. Also be prepared to stay on the situation or you will be forgotten about with little to no concern. I was in here last month and waited 5 hours and paid for a service that didn't even correct what brought me back today. Terrible read more

Great friendly expert service! Bob Wainwright got me into my new 2020 Trax and I could not be happier! He did a wonderful job explaining everything inside and outside the vehicle. I found a used vehicle here that I had been looking for for months. I spoke with Nikolaus and I have to say, I had a wonderful experience. Nik was extremely helpful and although it was over the phone, I was made to feel like I was his number 1 priority. I had some credit issues and was handed over to Tessa and after some back and forth and some ground work on her part, I got approved. Now, I ultimately decided not to purchase the vehicle, but the customer service was so top notch that I am leaving a 5 star review. Overall a great experience! read more

The service department has a lot of room to improve, When dealing with them my daughter and I were treated with a lack of respect and given the brush off-once you buy a vehicle from them you are on your own. Very disappointed with the service and sales manager. Leased a 2019 Silverado. The truck has transmission problems-shakes and bangs when shifted from reverse to drive. Was told it is a known problem and cannot be fixed. Sales manager said only thing he can do is put me into another truck and I would have to pay off the remainder of my lease! Will not shop here again nor do I recommend the 2019 Silverado. read more
