We are very grateful to the Serna's Relocation movers for their excellent care of us and our household goods in our recent move from Upland, CA to Santa Rosa, CA! We began with the estimate from Felipe Serna, who provided information, consultation and came to our house to assess the amount of household goods. His estimate was reasonable and he was very personable and reassuring. We decided to have Serna's do the packing and the moving. He even made an extra trip to deliver stickers to identify things staying or being loaded last. We had two days of packing, with two and sometimes four packers--all quick and careful workers, polite and helpful. Reina was good about staying in touch with us with dates and delivery scheduling. The final day of loading went well, and the load was maintained by Serna's until we arrived in Santa Rosa, about 10 days later. At the delivery site, the driveway to our place was challenging, and Felipe (who was now the driver as the driver was injured earlier that week) had to jackknife the truck to make the turn. All things were placed where we directed--and sometimes had to be moved again. The crew were agreeable, very helpful and always polite--and sometimes had to life heavy items up the stairs! We appreciate the referral to your moving service, and we would be happy to make the same positive referral to anyone. Used Serna's in January 2013 to move my father from La Verne to Pasadena. I was very pleased with the move and the attention to detail paid by my movers. We had a fairly tight schedule to complete the move, and we met the schedule in spades. I could have gone with a cheaper company and saved $75-$100 but why? Really really pleased with Serna....From Reina and Bonnie on the phone answering questions and making helpful suggestions...to the 2 great packers and movers, Chris M. and Francisco who worked to pack up my elderly mother's appartment in one facility and move her to a smaller facility. This was a very scary and emotional move for her and for my sister & I. The guys were sensitive, patient with our hovering and question asking, fast-fast-fast, efficicent, helpful, careful and more. They went above and beyond, helping with moving furniture around in the new home until my mom was pleased and making some small modifications to make a bed head-board fit. I will definitely call Serna and request the same guys again for any moves in the future. My family and I relocated from Southern California to Western Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh area). I obtained several quotes to ensure a competitive bidding process. My wife and I were amazed at the friendly, professional and expert advice that literally everyone at Serna's provided. Obviously, they won the bid (they were all relatively close) and proceeded to take action. They were excellent in planning the move, packing and loading the house, etc. They even moved our Toyota Prius as part of the process (it was stored inside of the tractor trailer along with our other house contents). Everyone arrived according to schedule and the movers in PA were excellent. Finally, there were no surprises with respect to hidden fees, overages, etc. I was not charged one dollar more than I had been quoted. It was a surprisingly easy and exceptional well-done process. Serna's Relocation Systems did an excellent job moving my mom from California to Virginia. They were professional and had great communication throughout the whole process. My mom was nervous about moving, and they were patient with her and made her feel more comfortable. My company manufactures electronic video billboards. They are 7' tall, 6' wide, heavy, hard to handle, fragile, and very expensive. For 10 years we shipped our own fixtures in our company trucks and trailers all over the country. I got stuck in LA one night and needed help loading a fixture. After reading reviews about all the big movers I was in a panic about our mover from So. California to just outside Denver. The reviews we filled with movers that did not show up at the requested time, broke furniture and then held up the client for additional monies prior to unloading the truck! Well, our experience with Serna was the opposite of all those reviews. The sales person was complete and professional. The office staff was terrific keeping us up to date with the changes we made. And the actual movers went above and beyond to protect our furniture and even had to go out a window with a big piece of furniture. On the receiving end they showed up as agreed and unloaded the gear quickly and professionally. We moved from Long Beach to Bainbridge Island, WA. Exceptional service from Sernas. Felipe Sernas did a highly accurate estimate and was very professional and informative. Acutal price came in slightly less. Special packing team was exceptional as well. Reina Martin in the office was very responsive. Scheduling was done smoothly per our house sale escrow needs with about 2 weeks notice. We would use Sernas for local or long distance moving again. We chose to hire this company because of their advertisement stating that they are experts with antiques and valuables. We had the salesman come out and review what needed to be done and received no indication that there would be a problem. When the movers showed up they did not have the tools or equipment to handle our antiques. When we called to complain to the representative he started making excuses. He finally just pulled his men and left us in a lurch. We tried negotiating with them to only load the non-antiques, but they refused to help us. We are out airfare and truck rental with nothing to show for it. This is not a professional company. read more
