Came in for an ear piercing today, was asking for both sides of my helix done. Piercer seemed like he didn't understand what he was doing and the placement on the piercing ended up being weird. When I asked to get it removed the piercer wasn't nice about it, and said it was "the first time someone hasn't liked it". I was offered for it to be redone but honestly just wanted to leave. Tattoo artist seemed nice but would not recommend getting any piercings done here. read more

I have been wanting to get this tattoo of my dad's handwriting for a while. I wanted to find a place that was really good with fine lines and let me say this place is definitely it. They are definitely perfectionist! I will say when you put in the address it is not the location by planet fitness. The worker explain to me that they've been trying to get this fixed for years, but do keep in mind. This place is next to arrow brewery it's on the same street as in and out but besides that I will definitely say this place is definitely a 10 out of 10 the prices are great. edited: My best friend got her nipple pierced here and swore that this place was legit. So we got out tongues pierced here by *****. I think he's the only piercer here.. Anyways he charged us $40 each and everything was going fine until our tongues swelled up a couple days later. [He] used a normal sized tongue ring on us! WTF?! I still can't decide who was more of an idiot.. Me for not knowing the proper procedures or him for not using the right sized tongue ring. I ended up going back to him cause my tongue swelled up so much that the bottom ball ended up in my tongue. My tongue healed over the ball and he had to repierce my tongue.. Nothing complicated nothing out of the ordinary a tattoo for Pasadena, we asked him to put "pasadena" in old English underneath the crown and the artist said "are you sure you wanna do that bro?" Making it seem like he didn't know what the hell he was doing. I came to Serious Ink for only one reason initially, because Alisa King was working there. She is the best tattoo artist that I know and I would follow her anywhere, but now that she is at Serious Ink I don't feel like I am following her anymore. I feel like I am home. Everyone at Serious Ink is nice and helpful and judging by the other work I saw going on while Alisa was working on me, all of the artists are really good. I would have no problem having another one there do some work for me if Alisa could not for some reason. The shop is clean and everyone is great. I love tattoo shops and the funky stuff that goes on in them and for my money (and skin) Serious Ink ranks up there on top. read more

I was told by a friend about Alisa King and have been wanting some work done, so I decided to first check her out on fb which I thought her work was amazing. So I started off with something small. (A red heart on my ring finger) you know when u have a good tattoo artist when it doesn't hurt. I have always wanted a bigger piece (flower work) on my foot but have been scared for two reason 1) the pain, 2) cuz they better not jack up my foot with a ugly art work! I can honestly say I will NEVER go anywhere else. Alisa King is my tattoo BESTIE!!! She is so amazing at what she does!!! Granted I will say this... Tattoo on the foot = pain like a mo' fo! Went with my friend to get a belly button piercing . I called for an appointment a week in advance. We walked in great customer service but did not have any of their equipment. They didn't realize it until after my friend being on the table for 30 mins get pierced with no ring. It's scarred and she didn't get the ring but just a whole in her stomach. I just got a beautiful cherry blossom tattoo finished by Alisa King and I could not be more thrilled. My sister and her friend both got beautiful flower tattoos by Alisa so I knew her work was absolutely the best out there. Her colors, the depth of detail and shading are just amazing. I live in Sacramento and flew down to LA to have Alisa do the tattoo, so I didn't get a chance to meet with her before my appointment so I was really nervous but I had sent her pictures of some tattoos that I liked and some that I didn't so she would know what style I was looking for. When I got to my appointment, she had totally pegged exactly what I wanted and had some great sketches made up. She then "built" the tattoo on me using the stencils she had drawn and then showed me what she had done to make sure it was what I wanted. It was perfect!!! The tattoo took 2 sessions and both appointments were great. The studio is very nice, very clean, and comfortable. It's by appointment only so there weren't a lot of people walking in and I got my tattoo done on a Saturday, which apparently is not a very busy day for the other artists there. I also appreciated that there wasn't awful, jarring heavy metal or rap music playing to interrupt my attempts to remain zen and not focus on the pain. Alisa herself is so sweet, smart, and fun - not to mention amazingly talented. I seriously could not be more happy with my tattoo. And my sister just keeps going back for more! xaIf you're looking for absolutely amazing flowers and colors, Alisa is the one to go to. She also does great dia de los muertos art, too.
