Serina is an excellent dentist. She is proficient, gentle and calm. She explains everything she is doing and lets me know what insurance will cover and what is out of pocket. I have recommended her to all of my friends and family. Everyone is so relieved to finally have a dentist they trust. In an emergency she is willing to see you at first thing in the morning. Dr. Cheung is very professional, personable and wonderful. It was easy to make an appointment and I was taken at my appointment time. Because of COVID she leaves plenty of time between appointments and never overbooks. She has a great air purifier but usually leaves the window open to make sure there is air circulating in the room. Everything in the room is clean and organized. I had x-rays done and she carefully explained what I needed done, what is cosmetic and what she deemed necessary. I had a wisdom tooth pulled which was quick and painless. She was very careful in making sure I was not experiencing pain at any time. The next appointment I had she filled 6 cavities and fixed a chipped tooth in one hour. She took her time in making sure my teeth on top and bottom met and that it felt right. Very clean office. Waiting room a bit small but enough for the traffic they get. If it gets busy and all the seats are taken, expect to sit on folding stools/chairs. Grab a magazine or watch the Chinese soaps they have playing. When your name is called, be prepared to get some tooth fixins. She is truly caring and thoughtful. Every dental problems I had, she always explained in detail whatever needs to be done. I'm always very happy and satisfy with her work on my teeth. My son fell peacefully asleep while Dr. Cheung was cleaning his teeth because she was cleaning my son teeth so comfortably and delicately. My son always loves cleaning his teeth or fixing any dental issues by her. Adults and children adores Dr. Cheung. Her staff and Dr. Cheung are very caring, friendly and truly dedicated to help the needs of each individual patients. The office is very clean, bright, spacious and welcoming. Recent visit to Dr. Cheung's Office during COVID period with severe pain near my wisdom tooth. My wife recommended Dr. Cheung and I called the office and was able to see the doctor on the same day. They mentioned of spacing each patient with sufficient amount of time to provide time for cleanings work area. The music was peaceful and there was large windows for viewing the street made it comfortable. Dr. Cheung was able to save my tooth with a filling. I was afraid of root canal. And also did cleaning which my insurance covered. I highly recommend Dr. Cheung's Dental due to her Excellence in providing timely and efficacious results. Serina is the bomb! I went in today, and it was my first time to the dentist in four years. I told her that and she didn't judge me at all- instead, she was super nice and we talked about my tattoos and everything else under the sun. She has excellent "bedside manners." I really like her! Things to note- cash only. Was no big deal because I have a great copay with healthplex. But she graciously offered to let me pay next time I was in if I didn't have cash. Also, she said it's better if you come in the morning if you don't want to wait. I had about an hour wait- but she said I should go run my errands and she would call me when it was my turn. So it worked out perfectly for me. But just a heads up! First dentist I think I've actually liked, though I'll never like getting my teeth cleaned. :) read more

The worst experience here. I made an appointment for 11:30am still was not seen by 1pm. When I made the appointment I specifically told them I can not wait over an hour. They assured me and promised me it would not be over an hour wait. No way. I was assured over and over. I keep asking them for an honest timeline and appointment. Guess what I've waited over an hour and half and the rest of my meetings have been screwed and the whole day is lost. I really don't know why they intentionally make people wait for over an hour on purpose. I highly suggest you go elsewhere. Complete garbage. read more

The appointment process was easy. I was able to book a cleaning Thursday when I called Tuesday. I arrived on time and waited half an hour before she attended me. I like that she asked if I wanted X-rays done and I declined since I got them last year with another dentist. The big complaint is her heavy-handed cleaning. This is the second, and most likely my last time getting a cleaning from her. The first time left my gums red and scratched up. This time the inside of my mouth is scratched from her suction utensil. I've been to at least 4 other dentists (I switch insurance often) for cleanings and this is by far the worst and roughest treatment. I made a mistake giving her a second chance. read more

I just had my first experience with this dentist and my visit was SO BAD that as soon as I got home I had to write a Yelp review. In a nutshell, she overbooks her appointments. I came to the office at 11:50 am for my 12 pm appointment and waited 2.5 HOURS to be called in. I got my x-rays done and teeth cleaned, but when she discovered a small cavity she told me that I would have to book ANOTHER appointment to get it done. When I told her how long I had waited, she told me that next time I should come in the morning when there is less wait. Excuse me, but why should I be responsible for questioning if the wait will be outrageous in the first place? Her excuse was that it is impossible to predict how long each patient will take because some patients require intensive work. I have been to other dentists serving similar communities before and those dentists never made me wait like this dentist did. I expect someone who has been practicing as long as she has to be able to predict and understand her own limitations. When she asked if I would like to book my next appointment, I said no thanks. I may have been foolish to wait as long as I did today, but heck no am I going to do that again. read more

This dentist needs to get a crown done on my mom, however, in order to get that done, my mom needs root canal. For some reason, the insurance company referred her to another place to have root canal done. When my mom made an appointment, they told her to bring the x-ray with her from my dentist, who is Serina Cheung. My mom called, Dr. Cheung's office told her that they had mailed the original to the insurance, and not sure if the insurance company had mailed back to them!! Were they serious??? they mailed the original, but didn't keep a copy?? What would they do if the patient comes back? Would they know what had happened the last visit to this same patient? Serina is the most relaxed gentle dentist I have ever been to. I have had so many problems with my teeth since I was a child, as a result I am always terrified. Not with Serina, her and her sisters make me feel at ease and in good hands. She explains everything she will be doing a head of time and answers any questions I have. LONG STORY, BUT READ! i came here because my insurance company made her my dentist. im not saying that the dentist has problems, she probably does a good job to your teeth, BUTTTT!!!! her receptionists are a pain in the BUTT! those twin ladies just chat on and on even with two patients standing there waiting for a good 10 minutes and they just ignore you like you dont exist! they applied for my two root canals, i appreciate it. but the lady at the front desk is just RIDICULOUS! i was back for an xray for my second tooth and i gave her my report from the endodontics even before she asked so she can get things done QUICK. then i explained to her thoroughly that i am back to apply for my second crown. and she asks me for the report. i told her that i JUST handed it to her. and she asked about my other root canal and i said im waiting for the approval and she asks me for the report on that tooth and its ALREADY in the folder, and she said thats the one i just gave her. -____- so i thoroughly explained it to her again and she asked me for the report on the one i was going in for(the one i passed to her). UGH!!!! FINALLY, when i was DONE explaining, i asked her if my first crown was approved, and she said she didnt know. she told me to wait for her to call the insurance company, so i sat and waited for a good 20 minutes and she didn't even TOUCH the phone! so i called the insurance company and they said they wanted to speak to someone at the RECEPTION. so i handed her the phone, and she PASSED IT TO THE DENTIST. OMG IS SHE DUMB OR WHAT?!?!??!?! UGH!! SERIOUSLY? this kind of service?! i called my insurance company after all of this STUPID mess and i asked if i can change my dentist to someone else, and they said, for me to get my crowns done ASAP, i had to do it here because i applied for the crowns here. and if i changed my dentist, i'd have to apply all over again. they suggested me to change it after the crown. and THAT IS WHAT IM GOING TO DO! NO WAY AM I DEALING WITH THIS TWIN LADY AGAIN. read more

I've been going to her for a few years now. If you go during the weekend you may have to wait a bit. But I think it's worth the wait. She does a great job cleaning your teeth. When I needed a filling she did a great job with that as well. Definitely would recommend Dr. Cheung. read more
