2day i had an appointment havent check my teeth for long time? havent come here for long time? in the area? i go in talked to Mrs chan front desk chinese woman. the way she speaks very cocky bad attitude? in english & cantonese? asked me lots of questions. the place still the same.. very old & outdated? small bathroom they have 1 toliet & a sink? i waited long .. can be very crowded? the girl staff who works there call my name? did x ray on my theeths? i wonder if that chair any clean? so many people sit on there? after x ray told me to sit back outside? like 30 mins or so call me again? this time see a doctor dentist? asked me tons of questions.. he did something to me? not sure on purpose or not? clean my teeth about 15 mins or so? water all over my face? i cant see his face? all cover up? didnt asked for his name? they have a wall thing so others cant see it? very old & dirty? chairs seems old & broken? very dirty? liked no 1 clean it. all done i said bye & thank u? told me come back again with in half a year? if i could i would go to another place? something clean not outdated.. I found Boss Dental when searching for a new PCP Dentist that took Liberty insurance. I dealt with both the Brooklyn Ave U location as well as the Manhattan East Broadway location. The phone manner and level of guidance not only with the dental arts but also with insurance matters was stellar and above and beyond what you get with most providers under the Liberty umbrella. Just from talking with the admin, I knew I found a unicorn. Boss Dental was kind, accommodating, knowledgable and patient. I went to the Chinatown location and was happily surprised after exiting the "secret" elevator to enter a clean and well organized dental office. Again, I was delighted that the front desk easily was able to deal with my insurance and did not try to upsell nor try to do procedures without informing me first. I was seen quickly and am very grateful that they found time to see me on short notice. The technician and dentist who attended to me were skilled, competent, informative and kind. You can tell their hands are ones honed over many hours of practice. Dr. Tong was amazing, patient, informative, professional and gentle, I am nervous about dental work especially when seeing someone for the first time. I quickly knew I was in good hands and I very much appreciate Dr. Tongs technique, informative communication and serene composure. Great, honest service if you're a customer. If you need a specialty referral because they don't accept insurance--forget it. They'll make you go to the office to sign a release form, even though they've already gotten that on the first visit. Then despite your request for a full set of x-rays, they'll give you 4 shots out of 12, so that your dental surgeon wll need to take their own x-rays and expose you to more radiation. The only reason I'm not giving a lower grade for this betrayal is that it seems all dentists are money-grabbers like this, so it's not as if the grass were greener elsewhere. read more

I've been coming here for over 5 years. They are consistently late and always run an hour or more behind but I put up with it because Dr. Tong is great. Today is my last appt here. I was a few mns early for my 11am appt when a young woman came in and rudely pushed me out of the way because she was late for her 10:30 appt. She was aggressive and yelled at me loud that I was causing problems when I told her check in line was after me. She said something in chinese to guy receptionist, who took her in first despite knowing and seeing I came in first. They spoke in chinese and kept looking at me. I was made to feel very uncomfortable and bullied while receptionist guy allowed her unacceptable, disrespectful, bullying behavior. I went to Boss Dental back in 2016 for cleaning , Dr. Sunny Chan , who I always requested, he was very professional and listened to my anxiety issues whenever I had my teeth clean. He did an excellent job. Since the pandemic, I went back for the first time . He suggested I need a deep cleaning and recommended Dr. Lin. I went for consultation next day and very impressed with Dr. Lin so I had it done the same morning. She was gentle and went under throughly, I am very pleased with the results and definitely will continue to use their service. Least but important, Ms. Lina who assisted Dr. Linh to help calming me down during the procedure . I am greatly appreciated her caring to me, the client. read more

I want to give 0 star. Completely wasted time and money. The wait is 2 hours even you had scheduled appointment. No management. Everyone is walking around in the office. No one is following up appointment. Don't come to this dental office. There are much better one in Chinatown. read more

This office consistently takes you over an hour late from your scheduled appointment time and they are not at all considerate about it. They are also not communicative when it comes to schedule. Told me once they would call me back in regards to an appointment time I was looking for that week because they weren't sure if it was available and they never did. I found this online through my insurance, it actually popped up because it was the closest to my apartment. Decided to give this a try. 2pm appointment on Monday, arrived 5 minutes earlier, waited an hour. They saw me at 3 pm. X-ray was taken first, the girl used the same glove to adjust the xray plates in my mouth and touching the door nob when every xray was taken. So essentially my mouth touched everything that door nob did. Next was the cleaning, I looked at my phone at 3:05 and he was done at 3:10. I mean i havnt been to the dentist for only a year but i doubt my teeth were that clean. On top of it all, when the hygienist spotted sensitive areas that were clearly visualized, he proceeded to spray the same sensitive area with powerful air to further prove his point. Yes, the goal of spotting a cavity is proven only when the patient screams in pain with powerful air blower machine for more than three times. I was suppose to go back to fix my "cavities". But no thanks, i will not sacrifice myself anymore. read more
