Today 29JUN26 we went back for breakfast at Sergio's Doral and, for the second time in a row, we were served by Laura. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us very genuinely with her big smile something that always makes a difference. The music in the dining room was pleasant with a good selection, although it was a bit loud. The food and coffee were very good. We were lucky that today they had tequeños and croquetas de bacalao, which are always a hit. Lately we've been using the drive-thru window for something quick on the way to work, but we often hear the classic "we're out." The portions continue to be generous. Great ratio of pork, sour cream, guac, cheese, etc. I loved that it was served with plantain chips. - palomilla steak: my friend enjoyed this and got moros and morduros as her side. This location is overly busy. There is unfortunately not a lot of urgency from the staff. I was taken back by the order I received. The portion sizes are decreasing. The food not always hot. The wait times when arriving sometimes is 40 plus minutes when tables are open. The location caters to large tables which take up a tremendous amount of space and limits amount of the tables regular patrons can sit at and makes wait times much more. The coffee being prepared is watered down. Not what is expected for "Cuban Coffee" The tostada is not cut in half where traditionally most Latin locations do. Overall, I believe this location needs updated. I now go to another location versus this one based on my recent experiences. It's sad as I want to like this location. read more

How did I not visit this Miami staple for breakfast before!? I came to this location with my dad right after picking him up from the airport and had breakfast. This location offers ample free parking and has both indoor and outdoor seating. They also have a lovely bar inside along with a cafe! We ordered the most popular breakfast (Deluxe Breakfast) which came with Cuban bread, eggs, a protein of your choice, pancakes, a bowl of fruit and a cafe con leche! All for a great price! I also ordered the viral Maria Cookie Cold Foam which was very good and not super sweet! Service was great, attentive and friendly. Went to try the viral coffees. The actual coffee is just Cuban coffee with no flavoring at all. The only flavoring is the top cream but barely. It's a "sweet cream top" for all and then the only "flavoring" would be a small amount of maria cookie crumbs or guava or coconut flakes put over the top. Tried all three of those and would not get again. Only good thing is that they're cheap like $5 each. read more

We customized scrambled eggs and were surprised by the extra charges: $6 for mushrooms, $4 for cheese, and $8 for avocado. Sergio's is good. I had the pan bistec something or other, which is essentially a steak sandwich. I added cheese, which my friend was appalled at, but what does he know. The waiter suggested the Swiss and it was good but someone later told me that they have the best provolone. If I make it back that way, that's next on my list. The food comes out on robot trays, which is kind of cool. My friend said it was replacing the workers but I pointed out that we ordered from a human. The robots only assisted. The waiter came to our table and removed the food from the trays and set it in front of us, so I don't see how it's replacing anyone. The food is good, the service is good. The food is fine , but If you arrive here, sit outside, and do not go inside to inform the captain that you are seated outdoors, you could sit there all day long; the server will walk right past you and won't attend to you. I thought I knew about every Sergio's location until I bumped into this one in Doral. Sneakily hidden amongst a storage building, this Sergio's was new to me but also looked almost brand new inside. And if not then it was superbly clean. We stopped by to grab some bites and like always they never disappoint. We tried the Cuba Nachos which had pulled pork with a tamarind sauce along with guac and sour cream and all the other nacho accompaniments. And instead of tortilla chips it was but of course plantain chips. Not only was it delicious but I was impressed at how the plantain chips had the perfect scoop form. Made loading each one so much easier. We also had the Bacon Avocado Cheeseburger which was fresh all around. From the patty to the bun and everything in between. Fries were crispy and hot but the tapenade aoli was highly addictive. They need to bottle that. And we ended the night with iced coffee with the guava cold foam. Because guava makes the perfect ending. Everything was delicious and service was very friendly and attentive as usual. Glad I could add this Sergio's location to my checked off list. Sergio's used to be reliable, but after this visit, I am not sure what happened to the quality. We started with four ham croquetas that were cold and clearly had been sitting around for hours. They tasted like they had been reheated from the day before. Then came the breakfast fufu, which was an absolute disaster. Easily the worst fufu I have ever had. The sausage it came with had an odd, rubbery texture and a strange flavor that made it almost impossible to eat. The breakfast pizza was no better, just a gooey blob of cheese with zero flavor or appeal. The food was so bad we could not even finish it, and that says a lot. We had been here before and it used to be so much better, but after this, it feels like they have completely stopped caring about quality. Bottom line: Cold croquetas, rubbery sausage, and flavorless food. If this is the new Sergio's, I will gladly pass next time. read more

i absolutely love this place and when I started having issues with my stomach, I came here basically everyday because their food has so much flavor without it needing to be saturated in fat. I grew up with cuban food, and whoever cooking in the kitchen must have done the same because I can taste the love in every bite!! I've always enjoyed Sergio's for their Cuban classics, and yesterday the croquetas were great. Unfortunately, the Eggs Benedict was a major disappointment. The menu listed hollandaise sauce (which is what makes it Eggs Benedict), but instead the dish arrived loaded with cheese and spinach, with no hollandaise at all. The menu did not mention cheese, and what we were served was not the dish advertised. My friend, who is a very picky eater, couldn't touch hers. I tried to eat mine, but after a few bites I had to stop--it wasn't just unappetizing, it ended up upsetting my stomach. When we pointed it out, the restaurant did discount one plate, but that doesn't change the fact that the dish on the menu was not the dish served. If a menu item is no longer being prepared as described, customers should be informed. Surprises like this ruin the dining experience. Sadly, after this experience, I don't see myself returning to Sergio's. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback to keep the menu accurate and the dishes consistent. read more

My boyfriend ordered a media noche with no pickles, he told the waiter that it had pickles and he grabbed the plate and took it to the kitchen so they can just remove it. Mind you that from the beginning we told him he had a pickle allergy luckily he had his epi pen and was able to fight off the allergy. **From start to finish -- HORRIBLE.** The *only* redeeming factor about this location is that it has a drive-through. I was genuinely excited to try the **new specialty coffees** being advertised -- flavors like *Maria Cookie Cold Foam*, *Cuban S'mores Cold Foam*, *Iced Honey Shaken Cordito*, and more. Based on what I'd seen across social media, expectations were high. Unfortunately, my experience couldn't have been more disappointing. What I received was **milk -- with a dash of espresso**. That's right: **a full cup of milk** with barely any coffee flavor. Isn't this a **Cuban restaurant**? Where is the **Cuban espresso** -- the rich color, the bold flavor? The drink I was served looked nothing like the product photos. The moment I took a sip, it confirmed my suspicion: **no coffee taste whatsoever.** If you're familiar with Cuban coffee, you know it's supposed to be **strong and flavorful.** While I understand that these are specialty drinks with added flavorings, there should still be a noticeable presence of **coffee**. There wasn't. To make matters worse, the service was equally frustrating. The staff at the window did not speak English, and I do not speak Spanish. While I fully respect and understand the local demographic -- especially in an area like Hialeah -- a basic ability to assist customers in English should be expected in a drive-through setting. Altogether, it was a **complete failure of a morning.** If I choose to return, I sincerely hope for a drastically improved experience -- both in quality and service. read more

The pan con lechon is amazing. Slow roasted shredded pork with onions on soft bread. I got the lunch time special which was 1/2 sandwich and cup of soup for 6.99 if you order a soft drink. Everything was delicious, the service was perfect literally, and the ambiance feels much more expensive than it really is. Even the regular menu prices are reasonable. This restaurant group has several locations between Dade and Broward, the ambiance and decorative theme is a homage to the Cuba of yesterday. All of your favorite Cuban dishes are very good and worth trying, they even have a healthier lower calorie menu called "LA FLACA" that's a great option. Service is pretty good including the mini robots bringing your dishes. read more

We love this place when we don't feel like cooking breakfast or dinner. It's typically not too busy, and you can get seated within 5 minutes, if not immediately. The service is usually pretty great and everyone is attentive and food is reasonably priced. On our particular visit we ordered Ropa Vieja. With rice and beans and Maduro it makes this a solid meal that never disappoints. Our server Juan was friendly and very attentive. His positive attitude made our visit enjoyable. They open early, the place is immaculately clean, the staff is amazingly friendly, the ambiance is super relaxing, and most important, the food is superb. If you're into healthy eating, there's good variety of tasty dishes to satisfy your cravings. I usually have their breakfast special, el mesclado, with ham and house potatoes; it includes cafe con leche and Cuban toast, for a very reasonable price. The croquetas, empanadas and pastelitos are all made from scratch and fresh every day. We visit this restaurant quite often! We are usually greeted with a friendly smile, but when we came the other evening one of the waiters recognized us and said a very special welcome! He thanked us for coming back! We sat down quickly and ordered our food. Service was good (a young lady). She took our order and we were served rapidly. I ordered the turkey picadillo with brown rice and broccoli. The broccoli wasn't well cooked but it was edible. My husband had the chicken vaca frita with white rice, black beans and fried plantains. He said it was delicious (it's always really good!). I recommend it! Also ordered the avocados salad which was great! We truly enjoy coming here- the place is lovely decorated with many authentic Cuban memorabilia, and soft music playing in the background. Overall our experience here has been wonderful! read more
